Alys captured these great shots of Zenyatta enjoying one of many snowy winter days. We shared one on Instagram (follow us @teamzenyatta), but we saved the rest for the weekend.
Zenyatta makes me smile every time I see her. Beautiful mama. Thank you for the photos of our Queen and Zenny, you look so happy. Thank you to all of Team Z that care for and share Zenyatt with us. Love every post you place on her website.
What a joy to see these pictures of Zenyatta every morning. The wisdom and peace in her eyes brings relaxation and ease to those of us who are stressed out. So good to know that there at Lanes End is a place of peace and joy. Bless them for the care they and all her team give Zenny.
ear Kathy. All seems well in furbabyland!Miss Kitty’s momma is so anxious about the test results this week and she has lost some “likes” on FB.I had to laugh at those ravens on the dyfi, maybe they were celebrating Wales win on Saturday in the 6 nations.Rugby is a way of life for the Welsh.Monty and Glesni must surely be on their way now.It was good to see Hovis tacked up and “ready to go”!Gosh,it snowed again with Ray yesterday and it’s officially the 1st day of spring on Saturday.I love seeing old videos of Joey, miss him so much walking around the studio and having fun with Tom.Flat Marty is having fun on his tour I can’t wait to see the new ratties on Thursday.I was reading about Smoky a dog from world War 11 and how he helped the veterans.Someone even knitted a cap for his statue during the cold weather in Cleveland this winter.Dolly and Harry are happy and enjoying life she was helping mum with the veggies. Her boyfriend Pierre’s brofur isn’t very well.I am so worried about Nissy he’s still not very well.I’d best go and turtle-turtle now!I had a very late night watching an Audrey Hepburn documentary.Have a great Monday.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
Yes, most of the furbabies are doing fine, thankfully. Fingers crossed for good test results for Miss Kitty. I never heard a raven that sounded like the Dyfi ravens. Crazy! Looking forward to seeing Monty and Glesni again. Feeling bad for the people in the east. That amount of snow is such a hardship. Yes, the videos of Joey are just wonderful. I miss him too, along with so many other people. I’m anxiously awaiting the introduction to the new ratties. They sure are lucky ending up with Marty’s Mom and Dad. I read Smoky’s story too. It was great! Glad to hear Dolly and Harry are well. Too bad about Nissy. Wish they could help him. Have a good turtle-turtle day. Audrey Hepburn…a real classic! Loved her! Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.
Well, I think she has visited War Front. Look at photo number 5. Those are definitely love nips on her neck!!!! So if she visited him mid to end of February, would they know by know if she is pregnant or not?

French Champion Hurdle option for Fly
By James Burn RacingPost.com 16 MAR 2015
RECORD-breaking Grade 1 winner Hurricane Fly, a fine third in last week’s Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, could step up in trip for the French equivalent at Auteuil this summer.
The Grande Course de Haies d’Auteuil, which Hurricane Fly’s trainer Willie Mullins won with Thousand Stars in 2011 and 2012, is over 3m1½f and takes place on June 7. http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse-racing/french-champion-hurdle-option-for-hurricane-fly/1838920/top/#newsArchiveTabs=last7DaysNews
BGG,
Thanks for the picture. He sure is a big guy. Muchie was 17 hands too. Took him until 4 to grow into his tall body. Dortmund seems to be filled out as well as tall.
What wonderful pictures. Zenny looks so healthy and happy. Hope her weight is carefully monitored. No matter what is going on in my day a visit to Zenyatta always cheers me up. Thank you Mr. Farish fot taking such excellent care of our favorite girl.
A very happy retirement to Glen’s Melody who ended her career on a high taking the mares hurdle at the festival last week. This was the race where Annie Power fell at the last fence.Glen’s Melody will most probably visit Shantou,Sheena.
Almost time for ‘good-night’, Zenny. Know you are snug in your home at Lane’s End. Wishing you and all of the rest of your family here on your website a wonderful night’s sleep. Spring is just around the corner…Yay! Love and sweet dreams everyone, Elizabeth
PS Love looking forward to each new day at this time of the evening.

Then it is a matter of finding the center of our spiritual lives. Nothing so becomes us as stillness and quiet serenity. A proverb says, “Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and her paths are peace.” But not outwardly at first. Time and prayer will relieve the pressure-and then comes peace.

Texas Red is off the Derby trail per his facebook page and Bloodhorse.com. He was my pick but am so glad his team let up on him and will wait for better things to come. It is always so good to see these owners put the good of the horse first. Kudos to them.
Ditto from me Shirlee. Just read the same thing and came here to post. I’m disappointed, but the horse comes first. I hope that this is not just the beginning of these “off the trail” bulletins. :-(
It was very good to read they are putting the horse first and will not push him, but this is why I am getting so gun shy of falling in love with these youngsters that start out on the Triple Crown trail. I wish him a speedy recovery and many winning races down the line!
Celeste,
I need to learn not to fall for them so early in the season. But I loved Afleet Alex and so fell head over heels for Red. Just glad there is no career threatening injury which could have happened had they pushed him. Kinda knew this was going to happen when I read over on the Forum that Kent had signed to ride Prospect Park in the Derby.
I am not picking any other horse until after the Blue Grass! CD and AF perhaps???
Sorry to hear this news. Wishing TR all the best. Foot abscesses, as we know only too well, are serious and his connections are doing what’s right for him to recover fully and return strong. Power Up beautiful boy. Love and Hugs, JB
shirlee. Sorry to hear this disappointing news, but Red will be back for other races. We can look forward to his return. If you like, you can join me and the Beast in supporting Upstart.
Max,
Upstart with his Claiborne sire is on my radar along with Carpe Diem and American Pharoah.
Max
As you know, AP is his grand sire. Always love horses with AP in their bloodlines. Upstart is a NY bred. The Beast is from Maryland, but he trains out of Fair Hill and NY, and knows Upstart. I would never go against the Beast.
With Texas Red off the derby trail, I have decided not to pick a favorite until they
are loaded into the gate. it is good to see that they are not going to push to get there.
Kudos to the owner(s) and trainer.
Dear Kathy.Happy St Patrick’s day to you!It was our patron saint’s day earlier this month.St David.Haven is so excited today the windows are open and it’s 70 degrees!!!They can watch the birdies and the chippy.Miss Kitty gets her test results today at !.45pm am not sure what time that will be over here but will be praying she gets good news.Nissy was feeling a lot better yesterday,he even had a wash!!The little blue pills seem to be working.I had forgotten it was Boo’s birthday until late last night he visited the children’s hospital with 200 gifts!Flat Marty is having a great tour even visited Her Majesty but the guys in the fuzzy hats wouldn’t allow him into the Palace. Now he’s flown to South Africa.Lovely pic of Joey yesterday and Buster is enjoying life these days. Not a lot of news from Fubu but he looks good waiting for his nippy.I must remember to visit Mango to see the new outdoor kitchen forgot yesterday.I loved the video of Zoe singing!Have a wonderful day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.

I’ll be anxiously awaiting Miss Kitty’s test results.I think you’re 8 hours ahead of CA, so I guess it would be 6:45 your time since Miss Kitty is on the east coast. Who knows? Glad to hear Nissy is better! That’s wonderful that people were so generous in honor of Boo’s birthday. Just having him visit in person would be a fabulous gift! Flat Marty’s tour is so cute. That’s the Beast! Sadly for Oaklawn, Beastie will soon be heading back East. He’s probably running in the Carter at Aqueduct on April 4. 90% certain that he will bypass the Count Fleet for the Carter because it’s a grade 1. Roll on, Beastie.

Thank for the update on Beastie. So glad Max brought him to our attention. He is my kinda guy! Takes a little of the sting away from Texas Red not being able to run the first Saturday in May. Bless the Beast and The Children!

Chin up, shirlee. It’s ain’t over for Texas Red. It’s far from over. Great horses have missed the Derby, but gone on to fabulous racing careers. Man o’ War did not race in it.
