The second to last pic shows her fabulous tail up flagged, as she runs in the snow. Love it. The four seasons in KY seem to agree with her. Well, we have both her new pregnancy and her first born son’s first race to look forward to. Very exciting.

The very first photo reminded me of the time I saw her in the 2010 Apple Blossom, and her habit of “dancing” on the track. What a gorgeous girl! I miss seeing her race but every time I read this blog I’m so thankful she retired sound and healthy, and is living a great life.

Thinking and talking are so basic to us that we do not realize how they shape our lives. Thought and speech are to us what the hoe and rainfall are to the gardener. We plant a word-seed and cultivate it with our thought.
Our minds and words have to be weeded just as a garden must be cleaned. When a weed is removed there is room for a flower, room for conversation and shared thought that will reseed and bloom until the garden is beautiful. And so we become.

Love this devotional! The “weeding of the garden” analogy is spot on — many hurt/angry feelings could be avoided if we thought carefully before we spoke. We should all plant flowers and not weeds with our words. This old world could certainly use the seeds of peace everywhere.

Alys and team Z thank you for the pictures of the wonderful Zenyatta. She seems to really enjoy the snow. Happy to see she has some friends in the paddock with her. Wonder if they chatted about their dates with the guys! Guess Zenny said War Front was a little on the small side but he did make beautiful babies.
