    Goodnight to All and sweet dreams!
    We are having a bit of snowy weather — snowed almost all day with only 2-3 inches accumulation. Very beautiful, and the roads cleared themselves nicely in the afternoon when traffic increased some. We might have another snow event tomorrow night into Thursday morning. I have enjoyed the snow days with Huey and Bailey, and cooking a little more than usual, too — soup last week and chili today. YUM!

    February 25 Cherokee Devotional

    Grandmother was a matriarch-a woman of few words and a lot of action. Children and adults knew she was a driving force. She did not beg for results, she expected them.
    The Cherokee family recognizes age, respects the authority of one who has lived many experiences and does not want to explain them. Her actions were not always appreciated, but there was order in the family and a learning that was to be our guide.
    When adults are not wise in their love and discipline, the child must use his own inner voice of authority to keep himself disciplined. No matter how many sources of discipline, the best comes from that inner source.

    In my early days I was eager to learn and do things, and therefore I learned quickly.

    Zenny and mates care of ears, open parts of body and fetlock joints in cold weather, Coz how do you like youtube ” fountain of youth stakes g2 2015 kentucky derby prep ” , Frosted quietly came from second turn and breezed straight in second row, Bluegrass Singer breezed along fence behind of Frosted, jockey of Upstart long time pulled left reign, then took whip in left hand, Upstart moving like in turn stumbled in right side of Frosted by his hip, Frosted was in white blinkers, he didnt want to change his quiet moving and he simply bumped Upstart back to right, on way of Itsaknockout, when Itsaknockout saw moving of Frosted and Upstart, he was lil afraid and lil moved to right, Upstart fell left whip and moved lil to right, he touched shoulder and nose of Itsaknockout by his right hip, they changed with bumps too, when Frosted and Itsaknockout feeled bumps, they didnt like this, and lightly decreased speed, Upstart all way from second turn was afraid of bumping from left, then from right, and left whip, he tryed quickly run to finish for to be in comfortable condition around, its well that course was wet partly muddy and soft, safe for lil quick turns at speed of 35 mph, Coz breeze lightly, on soft course, in free space, interesting comment on race, google ” gulfstream park Itsaknockout wins decision in $400,000 besilu stables fountain of youth 02/21/2015 ” , beautyfull Zenny Ziconic Coz and mates kiss your soft noses, lil 14z im remembering you

    Dear Kathy.If only we respected the elderly as the Native Americans did.So much has changed these days.Gosh,Mr No Ears has nearly 20,000 “likes” now,he’s enjoying himself in the sunshine.I signed a petition on his FB they want to put a plaque up in honour of his colony.Zoe looks so lovely in her Easter dress.Many years ago we would always get new outfits for Easter no bonnets though!I found those gorgeous puppies on Quirky’s page!Haven and Teddy love watching the squirrels at the bird feeders.Loki had a great day yesterday.Mango had me in tears again with her message to God!I pray he will hear her heartfelt pleas.She is such a sweetheart.Dash may be going on a space mission!!He’s in training.I love that they kept Marty’s rocket.It’s very mild here today I heard there are more storms on the way for at least 40 million of you in the US.A never ending winter for some!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.

    I really admire cultures that are wise enough to respect their elders. They’ve lived the longest so naturally they have a lot to teach. Congratulations to Mr. No Ears on all his likes! The plaque is a great idea! Zoe’s dress is gorgeous. She’s such a girly girl! I grew up always getting a new outfit for Easter. As I recall I got a hat too a few times. Loved the puppies. Will check out Quirky’s page! I can just picture Haven and Teddy and the squirrels. Glad to hear of Loki’s great day. Mango is frequently very touching. She is extremely sweet and her moms are very kind-hearted. Yes, Dash is probably going to be able to have a space mission in great part to looking so much like Marty. In 1882, the three-year-old colt Apollo, the namesake of the curse, won the Kentucky Derby without racing at age two. As of yet, no other Derby contender has been able to accomplish Apollo’s seemingly insurmountable feat. In 2012, Bodemeister was the closest to breaking the curse when he finished second behind I’ll Have Another. Before that, Curlin finished third in the 2007 Kentucky Derby behind Street Sense and Hard Spun before winning the Preakness Stakes.

    It is frequently not the opportunity we need but the lesson we must learn from having lost it. Our senses may be sharpened that timing is very important and that we have to be ready when opportunity comes.
    But opportunity is still not the whole thing. Making ourselves aware, being sensitive when we brush against the chance to do something worthwhile. If we are dull of spirit then nothing beckons to us, because it couldn’t get our attention if it did. Like attracts like. There must be something in us that hears the music of the spheres when everyone else says it is absolutely silent.

    I remember a lot of studies were done about plants thriving on being talked to and babied. There just may be something to that! I did hear about Madonna’s tumble. Apparently she wasn’t hurt. I enjoyed the Marty article. Sure miss the little guy. The story about the puppies left in a dumpster was just heartbreaking. One wonders how many precious animals perish because no one found them in time. Yes, Joey in his garden really warms the heart. Poor Miss Kitty’s mom! Hope she recovers soon. So glad Loki and Haven are fine. Very worried about Fubu and his mom. Zoe will be on nurse duty for a while. Her mom is having surgery. Prayers that Diane recovers quickly.     I’m hoping I may have found a home for the shelter horse that has been on the bulletin board at the library! My brother’s disability attorney has a 2000 acre ranch and she has a number of rescue horses. Please say a prayer for Pete. The day they stamp “ADOPTED” on his picture would be such a blessed day.

    Irelands Mark Walsh’s prospect of winning his 1st jockey’s title were dealt a severe blow today when he suffered a suspected broken arm in a pile-up at Thurles.He’s been leading Ruby Walsh and Paul Townend a merry dance all season.Moose’s stablemate The New One is all ready for the champion hurdle.I hope the Moose hasn’t had a word with him!Sheena.

    The Big Beast has drawn gate 2 in an allowance race at Oaklawn on March 1. This is his first race back since winning the King’s Bishop at Saratoga last year. Having since outgrown his halter, the Beast, who is now pushing 18 hands, has a new draft horse sized one. Be nice to your pony, but kick some butt, Beastie.
