    It has been forever since I have written. Z, your filly is awesome! Thank you for the pictures Alys.
    Just know that though I am away from my computer that not a day goes by that I do not Love and think of you!! You are my forever horse!
    Recently a very sad thing happened. My dear friend Sue F.’s husband passed away.
    He was a real trooper and a great friend. It is almost unreal right now. I am thankful the family all came together and have been with Sue. God bless you Bob Fredrick and thank you for your service.

      Oh my gosh, what a find. Thank you for sharing. That maiden win by Winx reminded me so much of Z’s first win and she was also in her late third year. Seems more than a coincidence, as they are both Street Cry girls. What a gorgeous mare she is too. Her owners are very likable and loved the story of how she got her name. Love and Hugs, JB

      Wow, what a wonderful link! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. The mighty Winx is incredibly amazing — such a thrill to watch! It is so nice to hear the love and admiration expressed by her owners, her trainer and jockey.

      Continued good luck and safe racing to Winx and Bowman. I hope she does capture the third Cox Plate, too.

      Sheena; Wow, what a super video of Winx, trainer, jockey and owners. One can not help but think of our Zenyatta and how she was loved!!
      We have our Queen of Racing on dirt here and they have a queen of racing on turf there. How fantastic. It has to be in the heart.

    Bonjour Zenyatta,

    No new photos since Sept. 1st.

    Would love to see more of you and your pretty girl. A video would be rather nice.

    I read in Bloodhorse magazine that the horses at Tampa Bay and Gulfstream are alright regarding Hurricane Irma. Some people stayed with their horses. Love to read about that. There was very little damage to the buildings at both racetracks.

    My brother, who lives in Ft. Myers, survived, too, and no damage to his house. Just some trees down in his yard and no vehicles damaged either. He won’t be getting back his electricity until Friday, September 22, 2017. Very hot down there.

    Wow. I’m just way behind. Thank you for these wonderful photos of princess and her gal pals. Please don’t get too rough housing in the paddocks. I know girls just want to have fun

    I’m sure your Mom Had a chat with Winx and said go for the 20th for all the fillies and mares and it worked. Great piece on Australia’s 60 minutes. They adore her and so do we. But always always my heart is with Zenyatta.

    I just watched the trailer of the new DVD, and they will need to include a box of tissues with it! Cannot watch her without tearing up – so beautiful, made me so happy!

    Oh geez, tears before I even ordered the DVD watching this video! I remember the effect she had on my friends invited over to watch Zenny on TV. Then they understood how simply breathtaking she was as she passed every horse in front of her easily. So beautiful, so kind and loving to her fans. What a strong personality that just pulls you in and you cannot look away. My calendar has Zenyatta Sept. 24! Thanks Team Z!

    Jose Ortiz off mounts through the weekend after injuring knee in spill

    Jockey Jose Ortiz will take off his scheduled mounts Thursday through the weekend as a result of a knee injury sustained in a spill Wednesday at Belmont Park.
    The extent of the injury will not be known until Ortiz gets an MRI, his agent, Jim Riccio Jr. said Wednesday night. The good news is X-rays taken on Ortiz’s left knee did not reveal any fractures.
    “He had a hard time putting weight on it when the doctor told him to,” Riccio said. “It could be just soreness but we won’t know until we get the MRI. He’s not going to ride the rest of the week.”
