Ann’s recent trip to Lane’s End was all smiles as old friends were reunited. Mario and Carmen, who both worked with Zenyatta at Barn 55, joined Ann and got to meet Zenyatta’s 2017 Medaglia d’Oro filly. Scroll down for lots of photos.

❤ The tears are flowing like the Trevi Fountain! These heart-melting photos and the surprise of seeing Mario and his lovely Carmen re-united with the Queen surpasses my best expectations for the incomparable Ann’s debut as chief-in-charge of Zenyatta’s blog! If this is a precursor of posts to come, then we are in for a thrilling ride (and keep the tissues handy)!
Zenyatta looks positively rejuvenated, and obviously recognizes her faithful care-giver/companion from the glory days. She KNOWS! Mario is beaming like a full moon on a frosty night, radiating a joy so complete that it almost leaps off the page. So wonderful! In photo 3, it looks like Zenyatta is about to initiate one of her trademark dance moves in honor of her beloved guests.
It is such fun to see Ann, whose appearance needs no improving, visit Zenyatta’s “salon” for a re-do, and throughout all of the excitement, our Queen’s very composed, alert and affectionate filly takes in the action with her incredibly kind eye and (long) fuzzy ears. With luck and the vigilance of the racing gods, this bred-to-the-purple princess will be partnered with Mario when she is ready to assume the role for which she was born. I have no doubt that she will remember him, and the kiss!

It has been forever since I have come to Zenny’s site. OMG, I was so thrilled and love all the photos of my favorite all time horse Z, her filly and favorite, dear Ann with Mario and Carmen!!
I have been missing Zenyatta, always thinking of her.
It really is true! : Time can not ever erase true love I believe as I go on with my life that Zenyatta will always be No. 1 horse in my heart because those feelings never change.
