    Zenny, what FUN you are! So glad you have such wonderful people to watch after (I know ‘they’ are supposed to be taking care of ‘you’, but am sure ‘you’ are also looking after ‘them’).     PS The wind is howling here today, and we’re driving from our mountains to the other side of the mountains to the west to meet some of our family for lunch. Should be a ‘wild’ ride over the mountain range (but worth getting to see family).

    PS Roadrunner must have had a wild ‘windy’ ride in his cedar tree last night! He was tucked in for bed near the top of the tree when we came in from watching the sunset.

    September 10 Cherokee Devotional

    You are worthy even when it seems that you have failed and can’t do anything right. You are worthy, and others will know it as well. Doing something wrong is enough punishment in itself without adding personal grief. Of course, you didn’t do everything right; none of us does. But the fact that we have what it takes to get up and begin again speaks well of us. Billings said that if a man were perfect in this world, he would have to die immediately to enjoy himself. How true for those who cannot see the good in people who are less than perfect.

    Dear Kathy.Such wise words today.Anyone who thinks they are perfect are fooling themselves.I am far from perfect always putting my tiny feet in!The heavy rain didn’t materialise at Doncaster I think it got dumped on us but we are expecting temps in the low 30’s celcius next week.A nasty incident in the stalls just now with a horse’s hoof didn’t catch the name.
    I am worried about poor Wimbley it is strange how one can get so attached to a rattie.He is 18 months old now.I told him his brothers would care for him.Mango is having a great time in Hollywood.Is the sky always that blue with you??And Auntie Michelle took the little ones out for a treat.Our oldest classic on today Aidan has the favourite Idaho but think he is staying in Ireland for the Irish champion a mouth-watering clash there.There were punishing conditions for the men’s semi final at the US open last night very,very humid Monfils could hardly move and Djokovic had the trainer on he is through to meet Stan Wawrinka in the final.After I had finished on my PC last night I started watching “Bonanza” my mum loved Little Joe I remember Michael Landon died the same year as my dad.W7 is holding on tight to her fish and 30(05) has crossed the Mauritania border now she is near a stopover lake.It’s always the toughest part of her journey but she is almost there…I pray there won’t be too many effects for Ray with the chemo something he doesn’t need right now recovering from infection.

    I read a strange story last night about it was w a mother “marrying” her daughter in Oklahoma she had already been married to her son.As you would expect they face incest charges.It was joyous to see Chico washing himself last night and he didn’t need sedation while they were dressing his wounds.Onwards by all means as Tom always says.Did’nt Princess Sofia look beautiful yesterday a lot said about Kate looking matronly when she wore lace to RA.Hope you have a great day.Love and hugs to you.Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.The horse that got trapped in the stalls had to be euthanised.Have always hated them RIP laterXOXO

    Oh how I love these photos of Zenyatta showing her delightful personality!! She definitely wants to investigate those catalog pages and be a part of what is going on with Charles. He surely must love his job as broodmare manager — at least it appears he is enjoying his time with our Queen. Thank you so very much, Team Z, for sharing these wonderful pictures with us.     High drama in the St Leger.Hot favourite Idaho took a “false step” and Seamie hit the deck.Both horse and rider are fine.Harbour Law won with George Baker aboard.First Epsom based trainer (Laura Mongan) since 1969.Huge congratulations to all connections.
    Juddmonte’s Timetest is joining Flintshire in the US.Roger Charlton is sad to be losing him.Now for the Irish Champion stakes.

    Yes, we are better off by just admitting we are human and prone to screw-ups! lol So very sorry to hear of the stall incident and that poor horse having to be euthanized. May he RIP. Holding out hope for Wimbley. Doesn’t sound promising, though. Mango looks every bit the star in Hollywood. Yes, our skies are pretty blue if the smog isn’t too thick. Enjoy all the racing and the tennis today! Bonanza was a great show. W7 is wise to hold onto that fish. Godspeed, 30! Yes, saying many prayers for Ray and for Cheryl as she stands by.     RIP Mukaynis who got distressed in the stalls at Doncaster today and broke a leg.Very upsetting to see.Run free now brave boy.I hate stalls!Love the jumps and tape start.

    Almanzor has won the champion stakes in Ireland beating Found I think I haven’t seen a report of the race yet.Seamie Hefferman has been admitted to hospital as a precaution.Alice Springs booked a place in the Breeders cup with a last-to-first win.Congratulations.

      Alice is a chestnut. They are all kind of wild and crazy and can come out of nowhere to win. Apparently Moore gave the perfect ride.
      Hopefully, Seamie will be okay. Same for Idaho. Big disappointment for Ballydoyle in that one. Is Laura related to Ian Mongran who rode Bullet Train?
