Dear Judy:Yes,I heard about the bleed with LA.6F at Newmarket can be very stiff.I hope she will return for Ascot next year and that she will recover quickly. We’ve had 3 episodes of Poldark now.I found the video of Valegro and Charlotte in NYC it was on her FB page and they gave her a beautiful rolex watch.Valegro was superb.Hope you got to see pics of Kate.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
The Lady could come back to the US and stay where she belongs. If she’s a bleeder, why risk running in foreign territory that doesn’t allow the medication needed to control it. If however she is as good as she appears, she could race against males. There are more than enough good turf races in the US or Canada, with very good purses. Dan did very well on North American turf. Secretariat never put a hoof in Europe and there are no questions about his greatness because of it. Ascot or any other foreign venues just don’t matter compared to the welfare of this horse.
Judy, i see, thank, Lady Aurelia dont run, quietly and not quickly recover your health and then simply have rest on green grass in mild autumn, see video of Beholder with water on her page, ,, ,, ,, ,, google ” youtube California Chrome workout from saturday 9/24/16 ” , Chromy like desert horse dont want to breeze in dark night, he like quietly to sleep in deep soft straw this time of day, from other hand air more cool and humid and may be course lil more soft and lil more safe for legs of horses, Chromy all way see and try to turn to left or to right side, away from middle of course, thank to Dihigi, with no blinkers Chromy feel himself more like in nature, not pulled reins and very slow glide slowing, in difference with Zenny and Coz Chromy in free breezing keep his tail more near to horizon line, Coz half of his way 49 and 2/5 near with you and Curalina, Coz and Zi not pulled reins only not long time and on sloppy course safe for legs, i like how Chromy walk back to his stable from course, looks like his legs are well this time ,, ,, ,, ,,

Thanks for the informative links! Always count on you to keep us up-to-date with important and interesting racing/horse news. You are our “reliable source”! ?
As Marshall said, thank you for these informative links. I think I read that CC is committed for the Pegasus. Should be quite a talented line up. Love and Hugs, JB
Notice how often your heritage kicks in to remind you of who you are. It may not make your hair any curlier or you eyes any shinier, but how the heart sings and lifts your spirits. At one time we knew how to be happy and glowing with health-we were glad just to exist. It was a glorious experience to run out on the basketball court and hear the people yell and the band play. We may never have made a goal, but this was sheer joy.
We didn’t think of it at the time, but we were in the process of building memories. Now we do the same thing. Are these memories as good as the old ones? If not, make some that will be worth remembering. Forget the pain in your back and your fear of that pain. Recapture the ability to chew the sweet out of life-just the way we once chewed our bubble gum. Enjoy today so you can enjoy the memory of today-tomorrow/
Our lives are in the hands of the Great Spirit.

Dear Kathy. We all have to make our own memories don’t we?I am glad you got to see the Valegro video and Charlotte was presented with such a beautiful watch. It certainly poured for Will and Kate yesterday.Lily looks fearless on her pony but what would Hovey have to say!!!She wants to jump now according to Karen.Poor Mango’s mum is in hospital she has pneumonia and a collapsed lung. She has been overdoing things lately. She really should take care of herself.I had hoped Mr Fibbs would post about the debate I couldn’t stay up but saw the preparations.I feel Hillary was definitely the more experienced but why does she always wear trousers? She reminds me of Angela Merkel.Mother Theresa will give her first speech as PM at the tory conference next week.Zoe isn’t on FB today is it the funeral? The Chicago cups won!Yay!We got the usual winter weather forecast snow lasting from November to February no doubt we will have rain!Poor Bovine is still searching for his mum Katell? And he’s making crop circles for the aliems. It was so good to see Wimbley trabeling again.A very emotional morning for radio lovers with Sir Terry’s memorial service I posted a link on my FB It was full of tears and laughter.Even Lynne the traffic tottie wore a dress.Today’s celebs could learn a lot from him there was his public persona and his private life.He always talked about his family especially the present Lady Wogan as he insisted on calling Helen but his life away from the cameras was very quiet. It you go on You-Tube you will find his “Janet and John” stories full of inuendos.I know our humour differs from yours but they were hilarious. He is indeed much-missed by everyone especially his TOGS (Terry’s old geezers)It seems to be clearing a little now I did a lot of turtling yesterday it poured all day.Have a lovely day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar SheenaXOXO
I so enjoyed Charlotte’s and Valegro’s performance. So beautiful to watch! As you said, Will and Kate surely felt at home with the rain. Looks like they have umbrellas with really good coverage! Not to worry. Loved the pics of Lily with her pony. I’m sure Hovis would laugh at the two of them, but he sure does love that little boss girl. Mango’s mom is very sick, it seems. She has been overdoing it, no question about that. I hope she gets better soon. I watched the whole debate and didn’t see Fibbs anywhere. Hmmmmm??? I’ll look forward to the explanation. Undoubtedly a different broadcaster covered Fibbs. As to why Hillary always wears those pantsuits, she has heavy legs and I guess she feels the trousers camouflage them. Sounds like the tory conference will be a must see event. I miss little Zoe today. I’ll bet it is the funeral today. So glad Zoe’s team won last night. That should lift her spirits a bit. Be sure to get yourself one of thse umbrellas like Kate was using. Good coverage!!! Had to laugh at the comment about not using a corn field for the crop circles and hoping a wheat field would work. Funny stuff! Continues good wishes for Wimbley’s recovery. I will research Sir Terry. Sounds like a wonderful man. Be sure to hunker down with all that rain. We have to go back really far to remember the rain pouring in SoCal! I wish you a lovely day as well. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

@ TerryCrow–Hope you had a VERY Happy Birthday today–you certainly deserve that, what with all of the happiness you’ve brought to all of us with your GREAT sense of humor !!
I am wondering if this is the year that I finally get to meet you at the BC—I sure hope so !!!
We have passed like” ships in the night”, just missing each other by a day!
@ Sheena–Just this past week I saw the movie “Dark Horse”, about the horse in Wales, sponsored by most of a small village there. He looks a lot like Barnaby, so, of course, I was tearing up through the whole thing. Such a touching and wonderful movie. Of, course, seeing the nice folks and the little town made me think of you. Is that village anywhere near you?? Did you ever see him race ??
Just LOVE these photos of the Queen and Charles–it looks as though she is understanding all that she is reading. The expressions on her face are absolutely priceless !
Traveller Update– She is getting better and better and getting back in condition to ride. This morning, she was tearing around the pasture like she used to–just running for the joy of running. It is surely heartwarming to see her so happy. Sue is riding Barnaby Monday through Friday mornings, ponying her to give her exercise. and then giving Barnaby the afternoons off and working her on the long line with her new caveson (sp?) and surcingle,
Barnaby got very crabby two weeks ago Saturday, when he was ponying. He had sort of “meltdown” and actually bucked a little with Sue on him! She gave him the rest of the weekend off, except for working him a bit on the long line that day. He HATES being on the long line–mostly because he hates having a whip waved at him, even though he would NEVER be touched with it. I think he thought that Sue was mad at him and doing it to punish him, so, he got himself into quite a snit over it. It took him awhile to calm down..Now, I ride him on Sat. and Sun. mornings, while Sue works Traveller on the line for her exercise. He is being very good about the ponying on the other days–I have explained to him how important it is for Traveller’s recovery and, that it won’t be for much longer, so he is soldiering on. Once in awhile, he will stop, as if to say, “can we stop yet”, or,”did I do well–what do you think”–but, other than that, he has been perfect.
I think I mentioned that he has done some remarkable things during this time. Perhaps the most amazing is that, when they were first put into the small and medium adjoining pastures, after she finished her month in the stall, when she first came home, I noticed that he was pooping right in the middle of the path they have worn through the middle pasture. As I was hauling hay to both of them in a wheelbarrow across that pasture, I thought I would try an experiment and ask him if he would please not do that, as it was difficult, and unpleasant, hauling the barrow through that. I explained that it would really help me,and sent the message also in picture form, as our horse psychic says that the pictures are what really makes them understand. I also asked him if he would ask Traveller, when she was let into the pasture , not to do it either. It has been almost 3 months now and there has not been one “road apple” on that path since—EXCEPT–for the “meltdown Saturday’ I was telling you about, when I came back in the late afternoon to give them their bran mashes and night-time hay to find one pile, precisely at the beginning of the path!! I laughed out loud and told him that I had received his message loud and clear about what a difficult morning he had had and hoped that they would go back their helpful ways—and–so they have. Isn’t that amazing?? There have been other such happenings in the past few months and I am really enjoying our new communication. He is SUCH an amazing boy !!
Hope you all have a lovely and peaceful night. Kisses on the wind to you, beautiful Zenny–and to those wonderful boys!!
What a wonderful post. So happy Traveller is doing so much better. The stories you share about these two are such treasures. Thank you and please post more often. That Barnaby and his “treasures” in your path is hilarious. He is so smart.
It is always so great to get a post from you. Love hearing about the adventures of Barnaby and company! Big relief that Traveller is much improved and feeling so good — to be running just for the sheer delight of it, Yay!!
You are becoming quite the “horse whisperer”, Sue. It’s amazing how you and Barnaby communicate — you are both on the same wavelength. Of course, Barnaby is a total genius!
Dear Sue.We all got very excited in Wales when Dream Alliance took part in the Aintree Grand National but he only got to the 7th fence. That was the year AP McCoy won on Don’t push It.It was a wonderful how a horse from an allotment won our Welsh national.I remember watching on TV.Cefn Fforest is in the valleys(as we refer to that part of Wales) I live in the west.He is about 15/16 now and lives with one of the grooms.
So happy to hear Traveller has recovered and Barnaby is being his “usual self”He really has a wonderful home with you.I always enjoy reading your stories about him and Traveller.Sending them both and you and boss mare Sue lots of love and hugs from Wales. There isn’t much Her Majesty doesn’t know about a racehorse. She is an expertX
Last night coyotes congregated down the old road and opened their evening serenade with blood-curdling shrieks and shouts. The dogs were irate that such goings-on were taking place so close to their territory, but their barking did nothing to quiet the coyotes. It took my own shouts and flood-lights to scatter the group of two or three, which sounded like a dozen.
That encounter with the coyotes offers a lesson to us. When negative rumors fill our territory, most people begin to cry and complain-like the dogs-but do nothing to stop them. But there is something we can do: Speak up-shout at those coyotes! Turn on the light of awareness of what is going on-and refuse to accept rumors. If we do not speak for ourselves, who will?
Dear Kathy. We should always speak up for ourselves.A very dull, dreary but mild day.I have a horrible headache after waking up with the pillow covering my face!I felt suffocated.Shock news that Gigginstown Stud are removing 60 horses from Mullins yard after a disagreement over trainer’s fees.Michael O Leary could easily afford the extra and I am sad Simon Holt isn’t moving to ITV to commentate on the races.Richard Hoiles is going to be the lead presenter instead of Nick Luck.I will always remember Simon’s commentary on Frankel’s 2000 guineas.
Mango’s mum is in ICU so she must be pretty bad but they did talk on the ibone. They are trying to find the cause of her pneumonia well it’s obvious she is run down and needs plenty of R&R.My mum was dreadfully weak after her bout and never fully recovered. She also had double pneumonia when she was 9.This was before our NHS started so she was nursed at home.
I heard Donald refuses to take part in any more debates because Hillary will be there I thought that was the whole purpose!I have only seen a few mins so shouldn’t comment really but I felt it was too much about personalities and not substance.Larry has tweeted that in 2183 cats will rule the world but Jeremy Corbyn will be be leader of the labour party! He also tweeted about Bojo meeting the Turkish President and saying Turkey made “great washing machines”I doubt there is any leader in the world Boris hasn’t insulted at one time or another. Now he has to face them all.
The Dyfi calenders will be out mid-October with Ceri on the cover seeing her photo I remembered how emotional I got when she died unusual for me as I don’t cry a lot.My father hated to see cry and I vowed I would never cry at his funeral and I didn’t.
Gosh Kate looked thin in that red gown the muscles in her arms were bulging not at all attractive and I wasn’t too keen on the green dress either. She doesn’t have the figure to show off clothes to their best advantage. Her hairdresser gets paid £300 a day!Loved the photos of the ratties and Zoe is back.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
It’s Wednesday evening over here. already Thursday in Wales. I sent you a message on my Droid. Not sure if you got that. The time got away from me this morning and I wasn’t able to write to you before I left for work. I hope you recovered from that headache. Sorry to hear of all those horses being relocated. We get used to certain people connected with the races, don’t we? I hope Richard Hoiles will be to everyone’s liking. Sorry Mango’s mom is so ill. I hope she takes proper care of herself. I think her body is telling her something! It remains to be seen what Donald ends up doing. He loves to stir things up and keep everyone guessing. Funny Larry! Maybe we should let the cats rule right now! Awww poor little Ceri. So very sad we lost her. It will be very emotional seeing her on the cover of the calendar. Yes, Kate looks extremely thin. The red dress was beautiful and would really look good if she was just a bit heavier. I thought the color of the green dress was pretty, but the style was lacking. Her hair looked good, though! The ratties were all looking good. Nice to have Zoe back today. I hope you had a good Wednesday. Talk to you tomorrow. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Ascot or any other foreign venues just don’t matter compared to the welfare of this horse.

Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I so enjoyed Charlotte’s and Valegro’s performance. Kathy XOXO

Sue Noel in Sun Valley, ID
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Sue:

Sue,
What a wonderful post. So happy Traveller is doing so much better. The stories you share about these two are such treasures. Thank you and please post more often. That Barnaby and his “treasures” in your path is hilarious. He is so smart.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Sue Noel,
It is always so great to get a post from you.
Thanks for the wonderful update, and take care.

We are a just people.
-Pushmataha, Choctaw
sheena.davies(wales)
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
It’s Wednesday evening over here. already Thursday in Wales. Kathy XOXO
