I keep checking for updates on Zenyatta and her filly. It’s been so long that her filly has no doubt changed a lot. Hopefully, all is well and we get an update soon. Maybe tomorrow?
I cannot wait to see the new DVD about Zenyatta. With Jerry Moss in charge, I’m sure it will do her justice!
Am so happy to see what an engaged and committed effort Coz gave on Sunday. I think he will do well on grass and with more distance. He looked like a racehorse.
I remember John saying that they couldn’t wear him out, that he can run all day. And that he has legs like tree trunks. Sounds perfect for the longer races. I wish I liked Victor better, but I do trust John.
I also remember John saying that he didn’t train Zenny, he had to learn how to get along with her. So, our Queen may be a sweetheart, but she was not easy. I think Coz inherited all of that and maybe more. Bless John for his patience.
I’ll try to be patient and wait for Coz’s and Ziconic’s next races and know that they will be ready.
Thank You all for the Birthday wishes yesterday…

Judy,
He Who Cannot Be Named, Irish War Cry, is running in the Haskell on Saturday. Drew the dratted #1 post but hopefully not too bad as it is not a big field. This is the one race his owner really wants to win. Named after her dad and she presents the winning trophy. What a thrill it would be for her to present it to her own homebred.
Wow, that would be wonderful for IWC’s owner. I hope Hence is right behind him. Two gorgeous Chestnut boys. Haskell is on Sunday, Post Time 5:47.
Shirlee, your Far From Over ran a very good second today over a messy track. So many scratches due to the conditions. Here’s the video from Bloodhorse Replays in case you haven’t seen it. Love and Hugs, JB
Judy,
Thanks for the video of the race. Keeping begging on his Facebook for a photo but don’t get one. If Todd brings him to Churchill this fall, just might have to go looking for him.

Hope you get to see him. So glad he’s back. Love and Hugs, JB

Wow, the chicks sure have had to deal with a rainy season this year; safe travels to them. Do you think Blue may have headed back already? Goodnight. Love and Hugs, JB, LM, PC, HT, Cap, Herc, Frank, Bentley and all the Sweeties
This is an article on COZ’s Daddy, Bernardini, written by Steve Haskins in August 2006. It’s part of Tom Hall’s feature, Throwback Thursday. Think you’ll enjoy it. Love and Hugs, JB
I too am wondering what has happened to Zenyatta and her new filly. It has been since early June when we last heard how they were doing. I can’t remember a time when it has been this long between updates. No mention of Coz either.
Hi. So many are worried because we haven’t heard regularly about Z and her babies like we used to. My feeling is that it may be due to all the bad-mouthing of Lane’s End that was done on this website when each of her two babies died. As most people understand, nothing could have been done to prevent these things from happening-it had nothing to do with their care. With all of the awful, disparaging things that were said, maybe they don’t feel the same towards her fans as they use to. If that is the case, it shouldn’t surprise us. Also, some things were gossiped on this blog a while back about the private lives of Z’s connections. Those were not our business, no matter what we think. As long as we were kept abreast of the life of our girl, we should have stayed out of such things.
I sincerely hope for the best for Lane’s End, Z, and ALL of her connections. That includes us, but I don’t really expect we will be kept “in the loop” much anymore. And, maybe, an apology to Lane’s End is due.
Here’s some very good news. Ziconic is racing at Del Mar on August 2. Victor is aboard. Race is on the dirt track. May the racing gods smile on these two.
I must have been reading different posts at the time of Zenyatta’s losses.I felt there was only sympathy towards Ann&Jerry plus Lane’s End.There will always be fatalities in the racing world. It’s nobody’s fault.I find it sad we don’t get so many updates anymore.Thinking of Zenyatta and her filly.Hugs
Cheryl is right. There were a lot of ill informed comments. She’s also right about gossip. Too much of that. Move on and stay positive is always the way to go. The explanation of fewer updates might be that Team Z is busy. Zenyatta must be fully occupied with her golden filly.
Hope all is well with the Ladies! And btw what has become of Eblouissante (Ebby)
There aren’t any recent posts on her Facebook page. Just wondering, hope is is well.
Mike de Kock is devastated to find out his star mare IGUGU died on November 24th last year. How could we not know the darling of South African racing had been nearly a year? She was in foal to Invincible Spirit and her 2yr old filly by Dansili is with Hugo Palmer in the UK.She also has a yearling by Dansili,
Rest in Peace, Igugu.
Condolences to all her connections. A belated farewell to a beautiful girl and only the best wishes to her offspring — may they be healthy and loved on whatever path they travel.
Dear Judy:Another miserable day again but it has been a typical British summer so far some hot days but been pretty wet this week.
Maybe you have heard little Charlie Gard died earlier this evening just24hrs after the Judge’s ruling. That little boy and his fight for life really touched our hearts. There were many differences of opinion though.May his mum and dad draw comfort from the fact they did everything in their power to try and save him and may God grant him eternal peace.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley Willow and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

I just love these pictures. I never get tired of them..I think about how beautiful this baby girl is and how much fun they must be having this summer. I know new pictures will come when the time is appropriate. Much love to Zenyatta (she is such a special soul and to her most beautiful royal daughter.
I have been following your blog for years, but until now have not left a comment.
Like all of you, I love Zenyatta! I was privileged to visit her and her filly at Lane’s End on June 21st after having the winning bid in the auction of November 2016. Needless to say, it was a wonderful experience that I wish for all of you. Z and her foal are so beautiful! It may seem silly, but I was especially pleased to hear her “talk’ answering a neigh from a distant horse. She has a voice to match her stature!
The staff at Lane’s End were great… answering questions about Zenny, the farm, and horse breeding. I met Alys Emson, who takes the beautiful pictures we enjoy so much.

Dear Judy;Oh dear the tears are flowing after watching such an emotional video.A fitting tribute to marine Cena.Thank you so much for sharing.God bless Cena.RIP.Love and hugs.
Thanks for this post — absolutely beautiful loving tribute to Cena, a brave Marine. Yes the tears started with the first notes of “Goin’ Home” (music from Dvorák’s New World Symphony). This gets me every time. Sincere condolences to the Marine and all who mourn the passing of this noble soul. RIP Cena and thank you.
We have been very pampered by Team Z so it’s almost like we pout when we don’t see new photos soon enough. I look for them everyday because I have loved Zenny for so long. I want news of all her babies more often but that’s being a little unrealistic. Thanks to Team Z and especially the Mosses for all the info you have sent and I look forward to news when it is appropriate. Love and prayers for all.
