Diary Post #114, Thanksgiving Post

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU!

It is early Thanksgiving morning as I’m writing this. It is exactly 4 Thanksgivings ago that I won my first race. So much to be thankful for…and so much to be grateful for along the way.

I know so many people are planning a great dinner. Here, at the barn, we will be celebrating with our normal meals and then some fresh SWEET POTATOES! John buys them for us to munch on as a treat! (That part of the Thanksgiving Day Meal I will share with all of you.) He gives them to us nice and whole and then we get to munch on them. My friends at the barn and I just LOVE them!

The track closes early on Thanksgiving morning….so we all have to get out and get a bit of exercise early. It is brisk and cool outside this morning, but it is absolutely gorgeous.

I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating today with your family and friends. I will with mine and all of my Team!

    Thank you so much Zen!! That sounds like some tasty treats for all of you! How nice of you and yours to remember us out here today!! Glad it is nice weather there and you are with all those you love! Here in Ky it is quite overcast but we’ve been blessed with temps in the 6’s. That’s about to all change however and it will be getting pretty cold! Still raining but we are far short of the needed rainfall for this year.
    Have a peaceful and relaxed day and thank you for all the thrills and memories.I will never forget them! LOVE YOU!!!

    I love how horses communicate!
    Thanks for the idea of sweet potatoes … I know of a rescued racehorse (he didn’t have the loving support Zenyatta does) who has three pasture-mates helping him to learn how to just be a horse. This horse is so kind that he holds his stride so the other horses can keep up with him.

    Enjoy your treat today Zenyatta and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the barn. I’ll think of you when I’m eating mine – although cooked. I don’t know if I’d like them raw. Maybe shredded they would be kind of tasty.

    Happy Turkey Day Zenyatta! I love and miss you and I am happy that you get some treats to eat at TG. Exercising is good and it’s nice to be outside and get some fresh air. I hope you are having a blast with all the other horses…take care my love…

    How nice to find a post from you today Zenyatta. And thanks for the info on the sweet potatoes, I will try the same treat for my horses. I received my issue of Thoroughbred Times yesterday with your commemorative magazine enclosed. How very special for you and I will treasure it for all times. I trust you are having a pleasant day with your family and wish you were here with us. My daughter thinks I am obsessed with you and I AM! Love you so much you gorgeous girl.

He is busy with meet and greets to raise funds for greyhound rescue and is very busy. You are going to be very busy and will have a full happy life.
