Lucky me! Photo by Sarah Campion
Hello Everyone!
Hope all of you are doing well! Everything here is just moving along beautifully! LOOK…I had COMPANY YESTERDAY! My dear owner, ANN, stopped by to visit me while on her way to a conference. This is GREAT FUN! Not only did we get to visit, snack, and catch up on all of the news from CA, but she also brought me PRESENTS for BERNIE! This is too cute!
One of the things we discussed was the “Z PIN.” Ann wanted me to let all of you know that she is working with someone on making the pin. Dottie and Mr. Moss are have a meeting this afternoon in relation to these things! Let’s hope it all works out! This type of ‘business stuff’ is all new to me!
I also wanted to give you a special update on the ZENYATTA LOUNGE. We hear many of you have been calling to help. This is great news and your kindness is so appreciated. At this time, I’d also like to introduce you to INES ROSAS. She is the ZENYATTA LOUNGE WOMAN OF THE MONTH.
The ladies all went to dinner at the Panda Inn on Monday night to celebrate the monthly birthdays and INES. When they were honoring INES, my jockey, Mike Smith, happened to be in the restaurant with some friends. He was so sweet! He came over to the celebration, congratulated INES, signed her CERTIFICATE, and stayed for photos. Cell phone cameras were flashing brightly. All of this really helped to make this a special evening for the Ladies. Too cute! I’ve just heard that INES is off to celebrate her gift…a facial or haircut. She can choose whatever she would prefer!
As a THANK YOU for this honor, INES taught a group of women in the lounge how to make cookies without an oven. I heard they were delicious! I’m not a cookie girl (yet)…but I heard they were a real HIT! I’m sending INES and all of the Ladies at the ZENYATTA LOUNGE a BIG HUG! I’m also sending ONE TO EACH OF YOU! Friends are so important!
Have a wonderful day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Dearest Sweet “Z”,
Thank you for sharing your joyful day with us! We always look forward to the GOOD NEWS from YOU! I would enjoy wearing your “Z” pin to the races…imagine how many of your friends would be wearing them and we would be able to smile at each other :)

I enjoy your sweet messages whenever they appear and, even if I’ve never seen you in person, I love you dearly.

Would have loved to see a video of Mrs. Moss with Z.
I hope LE’s will continue to post videos of our Z, especially since Z (it appears) may not be available to public visits, I suspect maybe never, which would be sad (but possibly a reality), since I’ve always considered her “The Peoples Horse.” I hope that I’m wrong, but based on what a friend has shared with me, LE is not designed to handle many visitors. Besides, like most here have mentioned, they are very large and have other priorities. I suspect if we continue to receive pictures here and there and abbreviated videos, interest will begin to wane, which would be a very sad thing for Z. I hate to be a debbie downer, but it’s truly coming from a sincere place…I’m a Z fan too. Just thought I’d express my feelings, since of late I’ve noticed less visitors posting on her Facebook and I’ve found myself checking in on her less and less.
And posters, please do not slam me like you have to others on here. I’m not criticizing, just expressing my fears. I hope I’m wrong.

Good thoughts and prayers out your way, Catherine Uher. Z and all of us are on your side. :)

@Catherine Uher – What fantastic news!!! I so hope all of the tests come back with a green light “GO” and you get your new kidney. I am sure words cannot express the magnitude of your friends gift. You are two very special ladies sharing an amazing life and love affirming bond. Many positive thoughts and prayers coming your way. Please continue to keep us up to date.

Zen, dear one. I understand that visits to see you would have to be about June or later. It would mean so much to have that opportunity and I was distressed to see that one of your friends believes visits will not be available at all. Being the great and sociable lady that you are, I’m thinking you’d enjoy seeing some of your greatest fans, so I’m hoping that some scheduled visits WILL be allowed. Just as another of your friends said, I want to plan a summertime visit to Kentucky, and being able to see you (and when) will be the main timing issue. Can you check with your team and let us know the if, when and how for visits?
when e “if,” “when,” and “how” about visits?
Joyce
Sorry about my typing.

“Z” PIN QUESTION; Any chance this can be a “Zenyatta” pin? Your whole name, not just a “Z”? And, Zenyatta, its so wonderful that your owners stop to see you so often. So special to see the pic of you and Ann. Hugs and Prayers

Hi Beautiful Girl,
Congratulations to Inez as the Zenyatta Lounge Woman of the Month! It is a marvelous tribute to the women of the backstretch who work so hard.
I can imagine how happy you were to see Ann. How wonderful that she thought of treats for Bernardini – that handsome hunk! LOL!
I’m excited to read about the creation of a Z pin. I hope they don’t make it too small.
I hope you are feeling well and will soon be confirmed in foal.
Love You,
NancyP

Zenyatta, I hope the Z pin is a roaring success. The Zenyatta Lounge sounds like it is making tremendous progress. Your owners and trainers are really kind to you. I’m glad the weather is getting better and you are out enjoying it. Congratulations to the woman who is the Zenyatta Lounge Woman of the Month. I’m happy that Mike Smith turned up at the restaurant where the ladies were celebrating. When he came to visit you at Lane’s End Farm, did you know who he was? Congratulations on all the presents that you are receiving for Bernardini. I would chip in something myself if I could. The more stuff he receives, the better. I hope you experience the pleasure of eating cookies of any kind.
