Good Morning!
YIPPEE! Firstly, HAPPY MARCH 1st! A new month! I can’t believe how fast the time is going!
Also, a HIGH HOOF to John! He did look through his photos and found these for you! In them, I am at about the same stage of my Training Center Lessons at Mayberry Farm as Eblouissante is in her current photos. So you can see how many similarities we have in body, size, and EARS! Too cute!
ENJOY!
It was great to hear that I was able to help raise funds for the YMCA. $12,600…..this really makes me feel GREAT! This Y program operates on the goal of…not turning a child away. I am so grateful I could help. Dottie also let me know that my one shoe recently brought in $2000 for Ronald McDonald House. My Moneigh is currently being auctioned for ReRun to help horses in need! This is all so fabulous!
The other day, Dottie was explaining to me that I am a real MULTI-TASKER. She said this is a term used for one who can accomplish many things at one time…balance family, career, and outside responsibilities and goals…like fund-raising! She told me it is really something HUMANS do so often and well these days with all of their busy schedules and responsibilities! It requires a great deal of organization…for sure.
At this time, I’d like to say WOW to all of you MULTI-TASKERS out there! You should be proud of all that you do each day! I’m new at this…and trying my best! One thing for sure…it makes ME feel really terrific when I can complete a wide range of tasks and HELP OTHERS along the way!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~
Z
PS…..In the spirit of giving, we are doing a special thing for the Zenyatta Lounge this Saturday, March 5th. If any of you are starting ‘spring cleaning early’….and see a few things in your closet that you would like to ‘recycle and feel would be enjoyed by someone else’….please bring them to SANTA ANITA’S OPERATION OFFICE this Saturday. I know they would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Just trying to help….Z

Dearest Queen Z,
The pictures of you at 2 are just too cute! And if Eblouissante had white markings, you two could almost pass as twins. I’m sure you’re keeping your hooves crossed that your little sister will be a speedster on the race track.
As for multi-tasking, here you are doing charity work and stepping into motherhood all at the same time. You’re fabulous, Z!
Have a wonderful day this first day of March! Hope the sun is shining down on you.
Love and kisses,
Stel

Love these photos so much! Enjoy this beautiful day.

Best mutti-tasker ever. Be proud!

Thank you to Zenny and all of her connections for donating the visit to the YMCA. I was fortunate to win this visit for my daughter’s birthday and she is on Cloud 9!! I don’t think she will ever come down. She was so excited to go to school today to tell all of her friends about it. They all know Zenyatta so well as that is all Peyton talks about. What a fabulous gift for her thank you so much for your continued generosity, and making my daughter’s dream come true. We can’t wait to come see you and shower you with hugs and kisses!

I can see Don R.is smitten with E just like John S. is smitten with you! E is gorgeous, too! This was the horse he was telling me about when I met him at the WEG party.

Greta photos, Z… you really look like your sister! Love seeing all the “unseen” pictures of you. :)

I love the photos as always of course. I see some resemblance between E and you. I hope she knows what a fabulous sister she has! Your an awesome creation and are so appreciated. I watch your videos on youtube all the time. I wish we could come see you one day.
Love always

Love getting all the updates, hope you’re liking it in Kentucky, that “bluegrass” will be turning “green and delicious” soon.

Zenny, What a handsome family! Of course, you are the most beautiful of all.
You and Dottie are doing great things for charities. There is too little of that left in this old USA. You inspire us!
Mary
How sweet are these pictures! Thank you to all who are helping you post these, Zenyatta. Hope those storms stay away from Lane’s End. Hugs and Prayers

You and your sister are both beautiful girls, Zenyatta, but just look at your pretty Mom. I hope you haven’t been too close to all that awful weather I keep hearing about in your neck of the woods. We miss you being close by in California! Stay safe and warm, honeybunch – spring officially starts later this month!

“E” is more well developed in the front end but she doesn’t have 2 year old Zenyatta’s back end yet.

Wow – you really do have a great looking family, Z! Your sister is gorgeous, too. I’ll be keeping my eye on her for sure.
Thanks for the pictures and for all the generous multi-tasking you are doing to help others. BTW, I’m a big fan of The Gentle Barn. They are good folks who help all kinds of critters.
Lorri
Zenny, you are too cute and so is your Sister E! And your Momma!
Thank you to your writer for translating horse talk to human talk!

Hi Z! I am currently doing lots of cleaning and getting rid of lots of things. Do the ladies need clothes?? I have many things in very small sizes; 2, 4 & 6. If the ladies have any need for some nice clothes, or any household items, let me know. I would have to box them up and send them to you because I live in Fresno. Let me know Z-love you and have a happy day! xxoo

Hi Lady Z, will John put ‘E’ in your old stall, or will she have to earn the right.
Hope you’re having a great day. When she gets to Barn 55, will ‘big sister’ do what big sisters do, and watch out/give advice to the little one or will you allow her to find her own way, or maybe both? I hope everyone will not put pressure on her to be a Zenyatta clone, but let her be her and find her own style/place. Your mom is going to have a very exciting year trying to keep up with all that’s happening the excellence of her babies, plus she’s up for broodmare of the year, again! Not a bad way to be, just pray everyone stays healthy, happy, and productive. Have a great day…
Hugs and Kisses,
Valeria

Both Zenny and her Mom had “dates” with Bernie.

@Ensign
Vertigneaux (I think I got the spelling right) is pronounced as
Vair ti gnnew O–pronounciation for gnnew is a mewl like sound. You roll the gne–its similar to mewl. With a long hard O on the end.
Sounds like Vertigo–like it would mean that but not sure. Got this from my cous who knows a bit of French.

Great shots of you and little sis, you do look a lot alike, I think you got the white socks from Dad. So glad to see the pics of younger Zenny, thanks for continuing to share with us!

Zenyatta,
I love your photos and I love your
sister…
I will love for ever!!!

So glad to see the pictures – 2 beautiful sisters! So glad E is going to John – I know she will be in good hands and not “forced” along. Congrats on the charity work – makes us proud to be associated with you (even if it is long distance).
@ Debbie So happy the visit is going for a little girl’s birthday – she’ll never forget this one! As ever, thank you Dottie, John and all for continuing to take your valuable time for us (you must be pretty good multi-taskers also)!
susan
thank you, john, for finding those pictures! adorable! i’ve read that the mare is more influential genetically on her foals than the stallion. is that true? also, i don’t live close to santa anita (tennessee), but i will send what money i can for zenyatta’s lounge. what a great idea!

In the pictures (hands on can give a different perspective) Zenyatta looks to be longer bodied–more length of rib cage, not loin, and more angle in the rear leg. The bodied part could be the camera angle, but it looks like there is more “rear” in Zenyatta than her sister. The length of rib cage and the angles in her rear might give her the advantage in length of stride.
E. looks to be more compact, more together, than Zenyatta was at that age –but I could be all wet! And there is the Bernie influence and maybe that is what I see in E. She has a beauty all her own, just lovely.
Zenyatta is incredibly balanced as a mature mare–front to rear, length of neck, and that beautiful head piece. The picture of Zenyatta’s dam in an earlier post seemed to show the same soft eye as Zenyatta–maybe Street Cry has a soft eye too, but she sure seemed to look like her mama in those photos.
Kudos on the fundraisers! And the photo with the story was gorgeous– as always.

Someone on TVG forum did a great job with pictures of your family. It is wonderful!
You can see where you got your good looks from :-)

WOW Z you was one good looking young lady at two. I am sure your Mom is very proud of her girls. Everyone will be keeping up with E, as she begins her career.
