Good Morning Everyone!
Today is Sunday…a great day that is part of the weekend! I am just beginning to learn what the term ‘weekend’ means to many people. I usually had my biggest races on Saturday or Sunday….so as an athlete…these were BIG WORK DAYS for ME! Now I am learning that for many people…they are DAYS TO RELAX and ENJOY FAMILY and FRIENDS.
One concept I’ve heard of is BRUNCH. I’ve been out playing for a bit this morning…..and had a great idea. I thought…WHY DON’T WE ALL HAVE BRUNCH TOGETHER. So, as I’m back in my stall for a bit…munching away on my PEARS (a great snack that I am very, very fond of these days)…I thought this would be fun! Watch me!
So…PLEASE JOIN ME FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH! Click Here
I hope you enjoy the videos.
Happy Sunday!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

Dearest Zenyatta,
After all of your years of working on the weekends at the race track, brunch must feel lovely! And juicy pears—mmm.
I hope this coming week you get some beautiful sunshine to warm you and your gal pals. Have fun!
Much love and hugs,

And I also LOVED the sounds in the barn…other horses, faint music in the background, and the birds. Thank you for sharing the video and letting us get a FEEL for what’s like in the stable.
.
Never ever get tired of seeing Z.
.
Happy Monday. :)

Zenyatta muddy one: I looked again at the still photo of you this morning because I remembered something. To me the look in your eye seems different–of course it could just be that particular photo. And in the pear-eating videos come to think of it. You look a bit matronly.
Evy
Love these videos. Thank you for sharing.
Celeste
Thank you for the new photo and the links to the cool new videos! Its great that you’ve started a you-tube channel for the Lane’s End videos of Zenyatta. I love how you all are working together to keep us updated on our Queen! Thank you!

Dottie: Thank you so much for the daily posts and the videos. I love pears too! Congratulations to John and Mike E for the big win on Mr. Commons this past weekend. Mike E looked like a crusader with that big cross across his chest! A beautiful ride. The right whip worked miracles at the finish!

This found on the Thoroughbred Times daily e-mail.
“When a mare like Zenyatta goes to the farm they often fade away in terms of daily interest, but she hasn’t. It’s amazing to me how popular she is and how in the public’s eye she still is.”
said Lane’s End President Bill Farish talking about 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta, who has started her career as a broodmare at the Kentucky farm.
ONE CORRECTION – THERE’S NEVER, NEVER, EVER BEEN A MARE LIKE ZENYATTA and her magical TEAM and that’s why she remains so popular.
Jani
Zenyatta, would love to see you. But when I called Lanes End, getting to see you, did not seem possible. So keep those videos and pictures coming.
Debbie

Annie
Thanks for sharing brunch, Zenny! And for keeping in touch. When I’m feeling down or frustrated or otherwise out of sorts, I come here and read what you have to say and you always bring a smile. Thank you for brightening my day!

Good morning, Zenyatta
I didn’t want to say anything about your appearance, because all this stuff is new to me but very interesting at the same time, but I have to say that I was somewhat shocked not seeing your mane, I suppose that’s what ‘pulling your mane meant’, and it was done in prep for your meeting with Bernie, but all this stuff on your beautiful face is just mud, right? I suppose your new look is that of a good ole fashion farm horse, not the fancy schmansy, Hollywood Glam racehorse, we all got used to. Just hope it took, and soon we’ll see that black spot telling of life. You keep eating those pears, oates, grasshay carrots, try some nanas. My dog & possums just love’em. @ Shannon from Cool
I agree, I think TEAM Z has done a phenomenal job, first rate, and even keeping this site up, is pulling in the fans, keeps interest alive, and educating about I think what some people tend to forget, the racehorse industry, there is also the business aspect, which has taken a back seat, info wise, to the romance between Zenyatta and her fans. Both are important, you wanna have the romance but people gotta remember there’s an industry behind ‘Our Zetty, Zenny, Zenya, Zenyatta’.

Cutting the pear in pieces might have helped. Also it sounded like her girlfriends would have liked her to share…maybe next time. Love This!

“See, I’m still perfectly beautiful when tastefully covered in mud.” Actually, on you, it looks so sweet it might as well be milk chocolate! Now everyone gets to see that mud can be a lovely thing, and you look like you’re feeling extremely clever (for being photographed wearing your artwork?)!

glad you had a great Sunday. So did your Trainer Dad and Mike on Makoma!!! You must have given great advice to all of them. Run, run, run. Thank you Dottie and Sara for the videos to keep her close to us. Zenyatta, you are having a great life. Sounds like one of your barn friends wants some pears and attention too.

It’s good to see that interest in ZENYATTA has not waned, and that she is, in fact, growing more legendary with each passing day. Good!
Maria
I glad you had a nice Sunday. What a lovely picture and videos. Thanks for sharing them. I heard someone was yelling for pears. I love you Queen Z.

@Sunny Boyd,
Her mane is brushed over and laying on the right side of her neck. That’s why you don’t see it in a picture profile from the left.

Thank you Sarah and Dottie for the videos & picture of our Queen Zenyatta. I never get tired of watching Z’s every move. I’m glad to see she likes the pears. Zenyatta eats them just like all my momma goats. They make them look so good & juicy. Good snacks great for you Zenyatta and your little one. You look marvvvvvelous! You make my day.

@Everybody: I apologize for beating this drum again, but the subject of visits to Zenyatta keeps coming up. (Ignore if it doesn’t apply to you.) Anyway…please DO NOT CALL LANE’S END to ask about visiting her. Lane’s End is a working farm. They stand several popular stallions, numerous broodmares, and are currently in the middle of their busiest season. They are CLOSED to visitors from February through June. This information is posted on their website. Lane’s End understands that Zenyatta is popular. IF they choose to offer visits to her, we should not expect to hear anything before summer. They will be more inclined to offer visits later on in the year if we, her fans, respect their policies and business needs now. You may return to your normal activities.

@ Sunny Boyd,
.
As L said above, her mane is just on the other side of her neck : )
.
Pulling the mane is just another way of saying trimming and thinning the mane, only it’s not done with scissors. Scissor cut manes tend to look unnatural. Pulling is done with just your hands and usually a small metal comb. Here’s a nice little instructional video for those not familiar with the practice. When done properly, it doesn’t hurt the horse.
