Happy Saturday!
Wow! David just returned from a one day business trip to CA (also saw Dottie and John for a fun visit) and said it was 80 degrees there. This weather thing never ceases to amaze me! It is a bit chilly here still in Lexington…but I feel I’ve acclimated beautifully!
I wanted to show the Secretariat image that they gave Dottie as a gift as well. Here John has me ‘jogging playfully’ right beside BIG RED! What a thrill!
John also took a photo of us…side by side. He put HIM a bit in front…just so you could see both of us. Both Dottie and John felt that they did a wonderful job with our images…and this is truly a special gift they were given. A great way to remember the EVENT!
All else is going very well for me! I have put on a few pounds, I’m getting so many sweet notes and cards from all of you, and I am enjoying my time with my friends. Yesterday, Don Robinson (the man who foaled me and raised me at his farm until I went to the Yearling Sale) and his family came to visit me again. He called Dottie and told her HOW FABULOUS I LOOK! Don’s comment to her was…”ZENYATTA IS JUST SO HAPPY. SHE LOOKS AMAZING….AND YOU CAN SEE SHE IS ONE VERY HAPPY HORSE ENJOYING HER NEW LIFESTYLE!”
In truth, I REALLY AM! David was telling Dottie that there are times when he and Michael Cline (from our farm) watch me when I’m playing in my paddock…and they literally see me “JUMP FOR JOY”. I REALLY DO! I literally JUMP UP IN THE AIR WITH ALL 4 OF MY FEET and PLAYFULLY LOOK AROUND!
I have so much fun when I do this! Dottie thought hearing this was so adorable. She told David…she could truly capture this image in her mind. Ironically, my dear friend, SOPHIE SHIRREFFS does this same type of thing. Dottie and John tease about it all of the time!
So cute! I guess Sophie and I really do have LOTS in common! We are 2 very blessed and fortunate ’4 Legged Friends’!
Smile…have a wonderful Saturday…and TAKE CARE! I hope you can encounter something fun today which encourages you to JUMP FOR JOY!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

YOU are just so precious Zenyatta! Your daily posts bring so much joy to my life! I’m in bed sick as a dog, but reading this has given me a little lift! That and I just watched Brethren blow away the competition in his race today! Am waiting to see your old stable buddy, Zardana, race later today! It’s just so amazing the effect YOU and some of the other horses I follow have had such a positive impact on me. I try to go out to my uncle’s ranch to see my horses out there, but this kidney failure has me down for the count. Am praying that my friend who just went through all the tests turns out to be a match. We should know soon, but in the meantime I have to start dialysis. So thank you to everyone who makes these daily posts possible! The pictures, videos, and inspiring words you send out in your messages everyday have helped me more than you’ll ever know! I love you sweet girl! :)

My baby llamas do the jump in the air thing and it is a hoot to watch. They usually kick out their legs at the same time and twist. That’s my jump for joy for the day besides reading these posts. Beautiful statues. Z especially!
LauraJ
We need pictures or video of you jumping for joy, and rolling in the mud, too. Pretty please.
Gia
Its not a great Irony that you are pictured alongside Secretariat because I think he’s the last horse who captured the public’s imagination like you have.. God bless Zenyatta, Team Zenyatta, and the baby we’re looking forward to next spring!
Anna Wiley
Zenyatta, that pic of you and RED is stunning! Great!!
@Sue B:
You have baby llamas? Awesome!

@Catherine Uher: Lots of positive thoughts and good energy coming your way. Glad you can find some bright spots in your day via these bright and beautiful four-legged angel-beings.
@ENSIGN: You have such a gift of explaining all things horse, and in such a clear, refined manner. Thank you for hanging in there with all of us.

Thanks Zenny! What great pictures! I’m so glad that you are having such a good time at the farm! I had someone ask me about why you have the fuzzy white noseband, and I really couln’t answer the question. What IS the purpose of it?
Bye, bye honey :) Love, Katie(future jockey) P.S. I CANT WAIT FOR WHEN FANS GET TO VISIT YOU!!!(do you know when that will be?)

Dear Zenyatta,
You and Secretariat look very good together. It’s too bad he didn’t live in the same era as you. Imagine what your offspring would be like! The foals would really be special.
Stay happy and keep having a great time!

Hi Zenny, glad to hear that others can sense that watching you looks like you are enjoying your new lifestyle, especially when you jump up on all four legs. That must be so fun to watch. I cant adjust my mind to that, I just keep seeing you racing in my mind. I have seen video’s of you running and jumping and haveing fun but it dont stick with me. You are Zenyatta the most wonderful racehorse I have ever seen and the Queen of them all. I’m pretty sure most people will see that when they think of you. Have a great week-end and be sure to jump every once in awhile. You are so funny, Zenny. Be sure you get some dance steps in also. Love you much.
Lauren
Dear Zenny – those are great statues of you and Secretariat. I remember watching Secretariat’s Belmont victory when I was 16 years old. Never since then has a horse captioned my attention as well as you have. You are the best. I am glad you had a wonderful visit with your old friends. I actually have a copy of the picture of you when you were about 6 months old – too cute for words. Who would have imagined then that you would grow up to be soooooooo special. I hope you have a day filled with joy. Hugs and kisses beautiful girl. xoxoxo

Hi Zenny:
Boy, these daily diary posts really are something to look forward to and inspire happiness and good feelings no matter what kind of a day we fans are having. John’s pictures just keep getting better and better. So glad that you are “jumping for joy with all 4 legs!” Makes me smile just to imagine it. So happy for you and I know your family is also so happy that you have adjusted so well.
Stay well, warm and happy beautiful girl.
Hugs & nose kisses.

‘His Chestnut Perfection.’ Who called Secretariat that? And, ‘The Empress.’ ~ Seems more regal for a Matriarch, even one aloft, looking around for her close-up!

Love the statues of you and Secretariat Miss Z. I’m so glad you’re such a happy and healthy girl. I look forward to your diary posts and watching your videos never fails to put a smile on my face. Love you Zenny!

my heart jumps for joy for many reasons. The last time my BODY jumped for joy was watching you in person in the ’09 BC race as you came around the second turn and began your surge to the finish line. I lost track of how many times I jumped for joy that day!!! It was AWESOME, as were ALL of your races.
