Zenyatta Limited Edition Lithograph…to be sold at Santa Anita…Both photos today are from the Santa Anita Marketing Department

Good Morning,

We are busy planning for Saturday and the Secretariat Award. We have been in touch with Santa Anita and are finalizing the plans.

Dottie has spoken to their TV and Marketing Departments to try and get the answers for your questions. I hope the following information is helpful to you!

The presentation ceremony will be shown on HRTV and the Santa Anita feeds at different racing facilities. It will take place after the 5th race on the card this Saturday, February 5th. This is approximately 2:30 in the afternoon California time.

Earlier in the day, from 11:30—12:30, there will be a tent across from the Santa Anita Gift Shop, where MY TEAM and Mrs. Chenery will be signing posters etc. The poster is showing Secretariat on the left….ME on the right. WE BOTH LOOK SO REGAL! This poster sells for $40.


The Limited Edition Lithograph shown at the TOP of this DIARY will be $100. ‘My proceeds’ in relation to the total sales of these items will be equally split between 2 HORSE RELATED CHARITIES: OLD FRIENDS and CANTER of CALIFORNIA.

If you are out of state and would like to inquire about the poster or lithograph, Santa Anita suggested you go to their web-site…www.santaanita.com. There is something at the top of their web-page about this. Also, they mentioned Chris Crocker, from the Santa Anita Gift Shop, will be able to handle orders and mail purchases to you…if this is your request!

    I was looking at your and secretariat pedigree …yours includes PRINCEQUILLO as well as secretariat like the both of you 5th generations WOW can’t get better than that

    @Sue, I had called a couple of Rescue farms in Ohio before I called the owner of the horses, so I hope some good was acomplished today. Yes, it is great that we have established communication with so many others that love these great animals. And we owe it all to our beautiful Zenyatta, so I now must thank Zenyatta again for all that she and her team are doing to further the good of the horse. Zenny, thank you for being in our lives.     Bernardini & Zenyatta are a very real powerful and “Royal” couple…and give us all something wonderful to look forward to seeing unfold in time!!
    Thanks to all the connections of these super-horses and to Dottie for keeping us informed. I’ll be at Santa Anita on Sat. and also recording the day on HRTV. DISH TV has both HRTV and TVG…love it!!

    @ to all who posted on the 52 thoroughbreds.. do we know who they have been adopted to.. i have been trying to reach a thouroghbred farm here in ohio to see if they could take some of them. Just want to make sure they were actually adopted!

    THANK YOU everyone here for helping the 52 horses. I was horrified when I read the post about their intended fate, and then as I scrolled down I got the GOOD NEWS that these precious ones were SAVED. This has to be the most blessed place on the internet, right here at Zenyatta.com, the Mosses, the Shirreffs, Mike, and all the fans.

    @ Jean — Were you able to find out who adopted the 52 TBs? I agree with Julia B that it would be good to follow-up to ensure they were actually adopted.

    I finally was able to watch the Bernardini video. I now understand why he was chosen. He’s beautiful and reminds me of Z a little. His prance and alertness…..obviously more goes into decision than those details, but can almost visualize the beautiful outcome… :) :)

    All 52 adopted!! How great! And Zenyatta’s community helped. How nice is that?

    I am purchasing the Zenyatta print, after 2/6 (per the Santa Anita site). I wish I could be there.

    HRTV is a mystery to me. I have TVG but not sure where HRTV is..I wonder if it will be shown their Web site? I am sure it will be available on YouTube or Blood-Horse on Sunday.

    I just watched the Bloodhorse Video of Bernardini…this is going to be a fabulous match. I love how he prances a little bit too…he is strikingly handsome, strong, composed…I hope & pray this works & we get a beautiful foal in the future!

    @The Kennedys in San Diego – I, too, enjoy immensely the writing style of Lenny Shulman and Steve Haskin. I love reading about race performances and such but it’s the tidbits of each horse’s personality which I find most endearing.:)

    I just watched the video of Bernardini on Bloodhorse.com. WOW, he is handsome & he has a few nice dance steps!! I understand why Team Zenyatta choose him to be Zenyatta’s 1st date.

    Love the picture and the poster! Hope KY isn’t getting snow from this latest storm. We are buried. Z, I had to dig thru drifts just to get the dogs outside to go potty this morning and they aren’t small dogs.

    I also loved the video of Bernardini. He is one handsome guy. I love his head.

    Zenyatta has joined the ranks of the greats- Man O War, Secretariat and now Zenyatta. These horses have touched the hearts of folks everywhere and their names are synonimous with greatness. Their spirit comes from a higher place to give us great joy and pleasure.

    CONCERNING OHIO TB ADOPTION . . . . .Any follow-up on where these TB’s went? That is a large number of horses to ALL find homes so quickly. I do hope this information is correct and the ’52’ are now safe. LOVE & PEACE

    To All Zenyatta fans regarding the 52 TB’s needing homes. I received an email from Last Chance Corral stating that they were aware of the situation and had received confirmation that they had been placed, but no info from them as to the receiving parties.

    Hi Zen and fellow posters, wow, this sounds pretty good for those TBS if Last Chance Corral has spoken to someone there and confirmed the adoptions. Feels good that maybe we helped in some small way. What a great community of caring people we have here, I’m proud to know all of you. And Zen, that video of that, handsome, macho, hunk of horseflesh is the perfect match for you. He has some 3 yrd old Derby prospects coming up, “To Honor and Serve” and “Stay Thirsty”, I just try to imagine what your baby will look like…..Superhorse!!!! I’ve ordered your poster, it’s magnificent, but I can’t go to the party, boo hoo, but I’ll be watching it whereever its on and thinking of you. Luv and Kisses on Your Nose
