Good Morning,
Home Sweet Home! Oh, this is too cute! This morning, my dear John sent me a photo of my Hollywood Park HOME…BARN 55…STALL 85. I wanted to share it with you!
John said when I left for Kentucky that he would not use my stall or put another horse into it for quite some time. It is decorated with so many of my things. This is really the way it looked when I was there…except you would see ‘my adorable head’ poking out of the door. I was always so curious and wanted to be sure I knew everything going on in the barn all of the time! I never wanted to miss a THING!
Now, instead of me looking out the door, there is a painting hanging in the back of the stall of Mario with ME. It was done by a fan, Mrs. Kotulak! Mario and John have also hung up some of my favorite fan photos. My Christmas Stocking is there…my polo bandages, my feed tub and all of my other goodies! They even put a cute fresh bag of carrots by the stall every single day…just because! (OH…I do love my carrots!) This is so sweet!
What WONDERFUL MEMORIES! I have truly been one very FORTUNATE HORSE! BARN 55 REALLY LOVES ME A WHOLE BUNCH!
Cheers to a marvelous day! Here’s wishing you share a special memory with a treasured friend of yours today…like John did with me!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~
Z
PS…OH DEAR…my JETS!
They gave it a good, solid try…but coming from WAY OFF THE PACE at the 1/2…then having to finish strong and make up so many points to win…(LENGTHS IN MY SPORT)…is not an easy thing to do! I KNOW THIS FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!!
It was a great game! GOOD LUCK to THE JETS in the future…and CONGRATULATIONS to THE PACKERS AND THE STEELERS! THEY ARE OFF to the SUPER BOWL!

The Bloodhorse just posted a little tribute I put together for ZENYATTA. I hope everyone gets to see it! It’s online at the Bloodhorse website, then click on “blogs” and go to “through the lens.”

Have a blessed day as you have blessed mine.

You are so beautiful! A gentleman walking by my office just stopped and came in to see a picture I have of you. I had to tell all about you, and he just kept commenting on how striking you are! (I think you have a new fam!)
Amanda
I’ve read that John will be training your 1/2 sister Eblouissante, I think it would be fitting if she goes to stall 85. Keeping it in the family.

Oops! Should have said (I think you have a new fan!)

SUNNY BOYD: THAT is A POEM! Feels as if the reader is there with her . .. what grace! Thank you very much. BARBARA WOOD, have you gone to GoToSeePenny@AOL.com [‘Happy Harriet`s site for travel to SA]? Can`t be there 5thFEBR.`11, but thinking it could be a place to plan for after your knee surgery, Catherine`s health improves, Leslie & her husband are on a more even keel, plus others` plans come more into focus. Just a thought or two over there. Khc.

Oh, and to have Mike Sekulic`s work available is a gift outright .. . it appears lit from within, just like ‘Z.’.

Dear Queen Z,
Allowing us to see your old home in Barn 55 was such a pleasure, even though it brought tears to my eyes. How they must miss you there! Yet I’m sure it comforts them to know you’re happy and well treated in your new home.
Hope you and the girls stay warm and have a nice run in the paddock today.
Much love and many hugs,
Stel

Your little ‘apartment’ back at Barn 55 looks so cozy. All your personal items makes it seem all so nostalgic. It makes me a little sad not to see you standing there with your curious little head (well, not so little) poking out. I can only imagine how your CA family must feel everytime they walk by it. You must feel a little homesick to see it as well I bet.
P.S. OH DEAR my Bears too!!

I have compiled a collection of over 50 different videos and a large amount of articles over70 of you and I find when I watch and read these a great peaceful calming feeling surrounds me.
Oh just a thought how about INDIAN CHARLIE
as the dad of your first born?

Hi Zenyatta. I loved the picture of Barn 55, stall 85, especially your Christmas stocking and your carrots. I think the comment about waiting to use this stall for your baby is great. Also I loved the u-tube “Doing the Zenyatta”. Fantastic. Love you so you angel in disguise.

Zenny -I am so excited as we finally find out this week who your “Mr. Right” will be. I am so looking forward to finding out even though I don’t believe any one of them is worthy of YOU. And dear Dottie, thanks for doing such a great job in channeling Zenyatta. I mean really she couldn’t have said it better herself. I just found out on Sunday that I have two, not one but two, Zenyatta bobbleheads waiting for me in AR. How exciting is that. And the best part is they were given away on the day that you became HOTY. I’m going to bring one to work and put it in my office. Also, I want you to know you have helped in my healing process. I broke my foot around the holidays and every night I put my Zenyatta throw on the bed with your pretty face (and Mike’s, of course) facing me. It makes me feel so good. Thanks again for all this wonderful information, it is so appreciated and brings tears to my eyes everytime I read your latest post. XOXOXOXO – Tricia

And, Finally: BARB G: The scrolling calligraphy reads: “Welcome Aboard Air Horse One.’ ~ From one sumptuous conveyance to Tex Sutton’s ‘Kalitta Charters #725,’ Ontario,CA–Lexington,KY. “Zenyatta Landed 12 minutes ago 5:39EST, Bluegrass Airport,” and on to Keeneland. Mario, under his ‘Z’ cap, right with her; plus who else? Can`t see. You can hear the engines roar, and watch her, holding her own in flight, along with the other passengers [horses & folks], on ‘ZENYATTA “THE GREATEST” PART 2-FINAL CUT (HD) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9rvs6bmtbc .. . 14:51 minutes by ‘smcracing1’ . .. And vintage duet w/ B. Hope & Girl Singer, ‘Thanks For the Memories.’

NO WAY I could ever have let her go way off across the country to snowy Ky with strangers, NO WAY. I know you all miss her sooooooo much. God Bless you all and Miss Z too.

Ah,Horse of the Year. Finally! You deserved it last year, too. Now we are waiting on pins and needles to find out who your boyfriend will be. Nobody seems good enough! But, I you ask me, my suggestion for a stud is JOHNNY DEPP.
Cheryl
Zenny, that Mark Sanchez is hot, if he was a horse, he would be a perfect match for you!
I know everyone at Barn 55 misses you terribly. It must feel like a child that has grown up and gone.
When will we know who your first date is going to be?
Love you!
Mary McCurdy
Zenyatta would you like a Terrible Towel? The Steelers never give up and neither do you. Congratulations on Horse of the Year. You look so beautiful out in the pasture with your ears pricked forward. I love your website.
jeanne
Hey, Z,
Do you think your people would tell us what they are looking for in a date? Just because a horse is a great champion, maybe he wouldn’t make the best mate for YOU.
Denise Babjack
Thank you for sharing. That truly is a wonderful photo.Brought a tear to my eye! I can truly understand why your stall will be vacant for quite a while. Not only are you “The Queen”, you are now HOTY!!! It will be very hard to put another horse in there. It does look like though, you are truly enjoying your “retirement”! I also want to add at this point that I’m from Pittsburgh, so GO Steelers:) Love ya lots, xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Kathryn Cogswell – you are too kind! Thank you for your compliments! I hope everyone gets over to Bloodhorse.com and finds my “through the lens” contribution right there under “A Fan’s Favorite.” I also hope that if you like what you see there that you will post a nice comment. That would be sweet!

Like everyone in Barn 55, Freddie Wilson and Hootie were always so kind when we visited. Best wishes to both.
