Good Morning,
Home Sweet Home! Oh, this is too cute! This morning, my dear John sent me a photo of my Hollywood Park HOME…BARN 55…STALL 85. I wanted to share it with you!
John said when I left for Kentucky that he would not use my stall or put another horse into it for quite some time. It is decorated with so many of my things. This is really the way it looked when I was there…except you would see ‘my adorable head’ poking out of the door. I was always so curious and wanted to be sure I knew everything going on in the barn all of the time! I never wanted to miss a THING!
Now, instead of me looking out the door, there is a painting hanging in the back of the stall of Mario with ME. It was done by a fan, Mrs. Kotulak! Mario and John have also hung up some of my favorite fan photos. My Christmas Stocking is there…my polo bandages, my feed tub and all of my other goodies! They even put a cute fresh bag of carrots by the stall every single day…just because! (OH…I do love my carrots!) This is so sweet!
What WONDERFUL MEMORIES! I have truly been one very FORTUNATE HORSE! BARN 55 REALLY LOVES ME A WHOLE BUNCH!
Cheers to a marvelous day! Here’s wishing you share a special memory with a treasured friend of yours today…like John did with me!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~
Z
PS…OH DEAR…my JETS!
They gave it a good, solid try…but coming from WAY OFF THE PACE at the 1/2…then having to finish strong and make up so many points to win…(LENGTHS IN MY SPORT)…is not an easy thing to do! I KNOW THIS FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!!
It was a great game! GOOD LUCK to THE JETS in the future…and CONGRATULATIONS to THE PACKERS AND THE STEELERS! THEY ARE OFF to the SUPER BOWL!
CJ
What a Joy you must have been for everyone at Barn 55…they are missing you gal..xo neck rub…

This brings tears to our eyes — how many wonderful hours we spent with you at Barn 55, Stall 85. We can see your head out checking out all the activity and waiting for breakfast as the feed cart came down the shedrow. Watching Mario caring for you, Carmen walking you, Steve taking you out for a gallop, and John overseeing the operations. All with great love and pride showing on their faces.

Precious! Is it possible to post a close up picture of the painting of Mario and Zenny that a fan painted at the back of the stall? This would be wonderful to see up close!! Thank you for keeping Zenyatta’s memory alive back home! It’s good for the soul!
Vicki
Zenny – support the Steelers!! Climbing the Stairway to Seven…!! I still love ya!!

Good Monday to YOU! Your previous home looks just wonderful. I am thinking the hearts of all the folks in Ca. must be broken not seeing you every day. You have given me so many great memories, enough to last a life time. I know there will be lots more wonders from you as you journey down the road to your new life, a mom. Z, are you sure you want to be a mom??? Just asking. (*_*) I hope your scratch is healing. I don’t want any boo boos on your lovely body. I finally found a frame worthy of your 8 x 10 from the Blood Horse Magazine. My God, you are STUNNING. I can’t stop looking at it. Enjoy the rest of Monday and I will be waiting for your next post. I LOVE YOU ZENYATTA!!!

It’s the carrots that got me. How sweet is that gesture?

Precious Zenyatta… there must be a terrible void in barn 55 now, walking past empty stall 85 has to make John lonely, it would me, but in a joyous way. I’m sure good race horses will come and go in his life, but you are a once in a lifetime, and we will all enjoy the next chapter with you!!!From our hearts to yours…Tony and Mary xxx

Z the Jets did give it a good try and your boy Mark was very steady all game. He’ll win the Jets a Superbowl some day soon. Loved the photo, hope you are nice and warm in your beautiful barn with your friends.

Sweet Z-
I laughed out loud at the comment about your “adorable head”! EVERY part of you is adorable!
Patricia–So sorry for your loss.
Cheryl Heath–The Zenyatta party (and menu) for the 5th sounds FABULOUS. Wish we could all come!

Zennie,
Your daily diary just always makes my day! I am so looking forward to the next announcement. Who’s the lucky stallion going to be???
Fran
Hi Z! Good to hear from you today. Yes, too bad about the Jets-I was hoping for a win. I love that John has left your stall just the way you left it. The carrots are cute! They love you so much! Have fun and stay warm. Our Doozey sends her love to you!xxoo

I think the next horse in your barn should be your first baby!!! :) I also think you should be mated to Midnight Lute, the championship sprinter!!….But I’m not sure that pedigree history is compatable but adding sprinting blood to your baby with your endurance and kick…could make another horse of the year!! Dear Z, looks like the family in CA really, really misses you…NO horse can replace you…I love how Team Z placed all your favorite things in and outside of your old stall! I watched the Bloodhorse/LEF video of you running free for the first time Again last night. Still brings tears to my eyes. XOXOXOXOXO

Zen: You are so adorable. I love the way you look at everything. I especially enjoy reading about how very curious you are! I remember reading about how you’d always stop to look at everything, be it a squirrel on a ledge, a cat, a leaf, a person, scenery, etc.
Love ya, Zen :)

My Sweet Lady Zenyatta, I love the photo of your home at Barn 55. I feel for John & Mario. I know they will always miss you so much. I think that is the sweetest thought of you getting carrots everyday there. Oh what sweet memories! Zenyatta, you are definetly a memory maker!Zenyatta, I think the Jets needed you coaching them. You know how to close a race. Maybe share some of your pointers with them. I hope you have a wonderful day filled with love and carrots. I love you, Zenyatta. Hug & Kisses from Alabama With love, Amanda G.

Thanks Zenyatta for the picture of your home in CA, another wonderful picture to add to my screen saver at the office and at home. That way I can watch you all the time. You are such a beautiful girl. You make my day.
I LOVE YOU ZENYATTA

It makes me sad that Zenyatta doesn’t see John and Mario every day. I know, she’s a horse now and is on to the ‘next phase.’ But it doesn’t make it any less sad. It’s almost like they’re waiting for you to come home (I wish).
John is one sweet guy. Dottie is a lucky gal :>

I try to read most all comments every day; I would dearly love to meet some of these people that love you so Zenyatta. I want to join Barbara Wood over at Cheryl Heath’s for her Zenyatta party. How fun would that be? I’m grateful there are so many of us that would love to pet that nose and hug your face. I would give anything to join in a big Zenyatta conversation with everybody. Ya’ll are gona have to make that happen~!!!

Dearest Zenyatta, thank you for sharing the picture of your stall at barn 55. I dont think that dear John will ever put another horse in that stall no matter what. He conciders that yours and yours only. He would love to see you occupy that stall once again. I can tell you that I know how he feels and when I read your post the tears came rolling down. It would be nice if after you are bred if you could come back to barn 55 to have your baby. I do know that wont happen. In the meantime I do feel John’s pain of love for you and he misses you so. I think John is a great photographer. That is a good clear shot of your stall at barn 55. I’m sure John will visit you again as soon as possible so he can examine yor legs, ha ha. Thanks again for shareing and will be looking forward to your next post and maybe more pictures. Love you Zenny.
Sheri

Oh, how we wish you would come back and race; we can’t even imagine how much your Team Z at HP misses you. We know you are happy and healthy and it is all for the best, but we miss you so. We used to fly to LAX from Denver and as our plane was landing, we could usually look out the window and see the track and we would say to each other, “you know, SHE’S there, SHE’s over there.”
