Good Morning,
I am still ‘BASKING IN THE GLOW’ of my GOLDEN TROPHY! What a complete honor! LUCKY, LUCKY ME!
I did want to tell you how GREAT it was when my family came to visit last Sunday. Here are a few photos. I had lots of treats…which I shared with my friends…and hugs and kisses. Those I kept for myself!
Ann and Jerry spent a great deal of time with me both inside the barn and outside while I was in the paddock. They watched me play with my friends and do some very ‘spirited’ gallops around the field with my 3 buddies. We are really getting along beautifully. P.Q., Sea Gull, Alyse and I are great friends. This ‘bonding thing’ is very special and I think I’m getting the hang of it now.
Then John and Dottie each spent ONE-to-ONE time with me. John really wanted to just visit with me…he and I all by ourselves. Dottie did the same. Over the last 4 1/2 years, I have spent so much time with these 2 people…especially my dear John. All of the quiet time visits…1 to 1…really mean a great deal to me. During our time together, John shot several photos of ME…and I’ll share some of them with you tomorrow. (He is just so cute…carrying his cameras around. I’ve seen him do this for years now.)
As you can see in today’s photos, my ‘winter coat’ is growing. This is what keeps me nice and warm while I’m outside. It is all part of nature’s way of helping me to adjust to a colder climate…as it does all horses. I do feel like I am adapting beautifully to my new life at the farm. I also KNOW ALL OF YOU are still in touch…and that makes me feel so, so, so special!
Many of you are asking about my FIRST DATE! I know the options…my family did discuss them with me. Between you and I, I know MY FAMILY is going to LUNCH next week to finalize the details. They promised they’d tell me FIRST…and then all of YOU! This is really too cute! I’m getting so excited.
Breeding sheds open in MID-FEBRUARY around Kentucky! So, it is getting close.
As many of you know, I just LOVE SPORTS…guess it is because I am an athlete. It is a fun FOOTBALL WEEKEND. MY N.Y. Times Buddies, THE JETS, are playing. Gotta’ love Jason Taylor! Not only is he a terrific Jets football player…a few seasons ago, he was also one of the FINALISTS on DANCING WITH THE STARS. He and I have the DANCING THING IN COMMON!
This is also a big secret……a friend of mine tried out for that show! I’ll keep you posted. If it all works out, in my free time, I could offer some of my ‘unique dance steps’ for the program! THEY COULD ALL LEARN TO DO ‘THE ZENYATTA’ !!
Have a lovely Saturday!
With Love,
Hugs to all~

Good Morning big girl! LOVED the pics. Thanks so much for the pictures and updates. Love and missing you in Cali!! Stay warm & safe!! MUAH!!! XOXO
Donna from Baltimore
Z – I guarantee “The Zenyatta” would be as big a dance as “Achy Breaky Heart” was (for those of us fans of a certain age, who remember that!) It is so good to be getting your posts again. And seeing more pics. They really do need to put a webcam down there so we can watch. They could make it a subscription service and charge a nominal fee, and give part of the proceeds to horse charities.
Mary Ann Wrenn
Love your dancing, Zenyatta!!! You are a true gift from God!!! Thank you for bringing love and peace to all. If everyone had your attitude, the world would be a big beautiful peaceful place. Thanks for showing the love!!! Love you girl!!!

Am glad to see that the groom is no longer using a “stud shank” on her as he was when walking her in the paddock in earlier photos. Good that’s she’s getting out with other horses Otherwise she’ll probably try to kill the prospective stud!J

Dear Zen,
It is great to see the photos of you and your CA family! A lot of us have close family members who live a long ways away, so getting together can be very special.
We are all looking forward to hearing your dating plans and hoping everything works out great.
Yes, I think Dancing With the Stars could benefit with input from you on dance moves!
Stay warm and happy, much Love from Ellen

Z, can you tell us how we can get one of the calendars from Tranquility Farm, the one that Jerry mentioned at the awards ceremony, that had the special poem? I bet a lot of us would like one, and it would support a great cause.

Hugs, Z….wanted to just say a quick thanks for the posts and for the pictures. I have to go back an re-read everything slowly….through my tears. Tears of joy backed by so much emotion, sometimes it is just hard to breathe! What a noble, beautiful spirit you are. And what a beautiful, wonderful family you have. Some day, I hope to meet. Hugs. Your friend, Ann Maree

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the post and new photos! It’s so sweet that John and Dottie both wanted to spend some 1 on 1 time with you. I can totally understand that. I am so happy that you are getting along so well with your new “girlfriends”. Does this always happen? Do some mares NOT get along with each other?
Looking forward to more photos (as always). Love you, Zen!
