Zen….you are a once in lifetime horse. John…you should have received Trainer of Year, after the Life at Ten incident
I was surprised at the choice. The way you took care of Z is the way all horses should be cared for. You and Dottie are very special people.

So Wonderful! I can’t get enough of reading about your wonderful and deserved victory. Jerry and Ann Moss, John and Dottie, Mike – all of your connections – I just have so much admiration and respect for them I can’t say it in words. I think Ann Moss’ reaction when your name was read is just an exact description of how we were all feeling. They are so honest and forthright I just really admire them so much! Have a wonderful wonderful day and stay warm! LOVE YOU!

Hi Zenny! Did we let them know or what? I truly hope, (and it appears that many, like Mike R., Uncle Mo’s owner for example) recognize that the way Team Z manages their horses and conducts their business is a successful formula that can be remedial for this industry that’s in serious trouble. It is a new vision that not only gives more respect and consideration to the horses but does not look upon us fans as degenerate gamblers who aren’t intelligent enough to understand the workings of the racing industry.
I saw a couple of stone faced individuals during the ceremony. They seemed uncomfortable at the thought of not being able to enjoy sitting on their perches of the “elite,” but it’s time they realize they put their pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us.
On the other hand, I saw the tears and love for you flow from Jerry and Annie. And that is what we fans demand! Treat the horses with the respect and caring they deserve.
You deserved that award Zenny. I didn’t care if they voted your way or not. To me, you are a horse I will not likely see the likes of again in my lifetime.
Tell Dottie that I heard her comment to the fans loud and clear, and so did many others in the industry last night. I for one appreciates the fact that she realizes that having us in your corner can be very good! LOL
I love you Zenny…and Team Z has my deepest respect and affection.
Congratulations to all involved–INCLUDING MARIO, et al… Too often the grooms are left out. Remind everyone that if they just look at the visit videos since you’ve been at Lane’s End–you are speaking as to who contributed so much to your happiness while you were racing–that’s right, Mario. I didn’t see him at the awards. Was he there?
Shannon
You are some hot tamale, Queen Z.
Joan
Hi there Missy HOY, hope you had a wonderful day.
I just want to make a couple of quick comments:
I read Mr. Haskins article today about you Zennie. You are now a horse, a horse horse. I am so thrilled for you, you are now what a horse is suppose to be. You gave a 100% on the track, to your fans and now it is your time to do what horses are suppose to do. You are healthy, content and have gracefully entered a new phase, like it was meant to be. Lane’s End has done a beautiful job, with early prep by Mr. John, they have transitioned that eagerness to run into a life of even
more calm and gentleness. You can be with your own now in a way you never knew before. It makes me teary eyed to see you in this new phase and knowing you are happy. Thank you Lane’s End, a job well done .Again your Mom and Dad knew what was best.
Next Dottie, how do you get your clothes on each day, don’t your wings get in the way. What you give to her fans and not a dime in your pocket, but you are so generous to do this for us all, to fit us in your busy schedule, thank you so very much.
The last is a quote from Mary Lou Whitney,
” never again will a horse be slaughtered in this country”. People we have been united for Zen for years, WE CAN DO THIS.
If for just one day we didn’t post on the diary, each of us wrote a letter to our reps, we could change the momentum, WE CAN DO IT. You know if ZEN could look us in the eye and speak, she would say YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS, IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO. With her heart and if she could write, she would do the first letter. Just food for thought.
Last, Yeah,Hoy, love you ZEN.
Kimberly
TO THE 102 THAT VOTED FOR BLAME, “SHAME ON YOU”!!!!!!! YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GREAT HORSERACING!!!!!
Liz Tobey
Congratulations, Z. You deserved this award, as you did more for racing than any human or equine in years!

Zenyatta – You did it girl! We have followed your wonderful and successful career since you started and we absolutely love you and respect you and will miss seeing you on the racetrack. Your personality is incredible – hopefully you will pass all your DNA to your offspring. Your jockey Mike Smith deserves alot of respect and credit and you together were the best in the horse racing industry.

I love you Zenyatta. I am so proud for you that you finally got the recognition you deserve from the racing community. Your fans have always loved and respected you. You are the bomb!

I had faith that the racing community would do the right thing. You are a horse for the ages, the horse for all of us: Man O’War; Seabiscuit; Secretariat; and Zenyatta. How lucky we are all to have seen her!

Hope you all have seen the 2010 Zenyatta Tribute in Photography
By Barbara Livingston. I am not technical enough to put the link
here. It is the most breathtaking magnificent set of pictures of the Queen. Very emotional photos. Please look it up and put a Kleenex
Box along side of your computer when you view it.
