Hello Everyone,
Happy Monday! Sophie and all of my friends at BARN 55 are sending ME and all of TEAM ZENYATTA SPECIAL GOOD LUCK WISHES for tonight!
In our family, we love BUTTERFLIES! We think they are beautiful and represent such a free spirit. In reality, we also feel they are very LUCKY.
To keep with this theme, Sophie is dressed in her LUCKY OUTFIT. It has a beautiful beaded Butterfly on the back. She’s ready to watch the ECLIPSE AWARDS with all of my friends at Barn 55. The area around the TV at BARN 55 will have ‘standing room only’. It is getting close!
Fingers, paws and hooves crossed!
With Love,
Hugs to all~

I changed my facebook profile pic to a photo of you! You deserve HOTY, and I so hope you win. No matter how the award turns out, please know that YOU and the rest of TEAM Z have brought so many fans to thoroughbred racing. My family and I are some of those fans. If not for you, we wouldn’t even be following this sport. Thank you for all you have done, and all you have given. There will NEVER be another horse like you, Zenyatta. You are loved beyond words. Hoping for the best tonight, but regardless, YOU ARE THE ICON OF THIS SPORT.
Love You Big Girl,
Kristi

Dear Zenyatta – I love butterflies too, but they are all in my stomach right now. Already – and with hours to go before HOY is announced. We all love you so very much for everything you’ve given us. I will be heartbroken if you don’t win. But losing to Blame will not take anything away from who you are and what you’ve accomplished both on the racetrack and off. You are exquisite. You are majestic. You are magnificent. You are perfect. There can never be an equal to you. The butterflies in my stomach will be flapping their little wings faster and faster as the moment arrives. Win or lose I’m sure there will be tears. I can’t believe you’ve touched me so much. Bless Mr. and Mrs. Moss, John and Dottie and all of Barn 55 who have shared you with us in such a loving way. We are so lucky to have been a part of your life. Good luck Zenyatta. With love, Dani Crawford

Oh, wonderful Zenyatta, how lucky you are to have so many hopes, prayers, wishes and butterfly kisses coming your way. How great that you got to visit with your family and receive special hugs and kisses from them. So, much positive energy in one place will be very hard to beat. I have to say I have found it interesting when I read various articles that a vote for you is emotional and a vote for Blame is logical. Well you bet, a vote for you is emotional, I feel emotional about it and I am proud of that fact. For I believe that emotions are truly what take human lives to the highest peaks. And no matter what is said or written, emotion is one of the main forces at work in the thoroughbred industry. What makes hardcore horsemen work year after year to hold a farm together against economic odds when logic would say to end it? Pride, love, a sense of history in honoring those that came before and will come after. A joy in just being around the thoroughbred horse. What makes owners look at possible breeding matches and try to breed the best to the best? Hope, dreams, wishing this will be the one, this will be the year. What makes trainers and jockeys and the backside workers, put in long hours and hard work everyday? Belief in their abilities, a surety that they are the best at what they do, the money, the fame, a rush of adrenalin like no other or an attachment to one particular horse that understands the game and gives it their all, a need to provide financial support for families. What makes a person place a bet or others write about the ponies or go on TV? Because of the excitement as well as the risk. The desire to bring more people to the sport, to show the positive side. To be able to work at something that truly interests you. Even the dark side of the industry involves emotions, greed and cruelty for example. What makes rescue organizations try their hardest to make things right? A belief that all of God’s creatures deserve the best life possible and that how we treat those that depend on us is a direct reflection of who we are. I am not sure that those who vote for Blame will do so based on pure logic and numbers. I think it will indicate admiration for a very good young colt and carry it’s own links to Claiborne. A one of a kind historical farm run by the Hancock’s for more than 100 years and which many horseracing fans consider a piece of holy ground. And that brings me back to you Miss Z. What makes us, the fans, so drawn to your breed and to you wonderful lady, in particular. A celebration of beauty and spirit. A heartfelt joy deep inside. Feeling good about something in a world where we are often bombarded with the bad. Enjoying a kind and gentle soul, who ran as the wind across our lives and touched everyone in your own very special way. A pride in everything you and your Team Z accomplished, everything you gave, every obstacle you overcame out on the track, everything you did for the industry. Yes, Zenyatta! My feelings toward you are emotional. May you receive the HOY honors you and Team Z so deserve and rest assured that you will be in the Hall of Fame. You will be remembered long after the accolades are gone, because you are loved. I still hold Secretariat and Ruffian and Barbaro and many, many others who still grace us with their presence and who have gone before in my own heart. Emotions are very much present and if they ever cease to be, then that which makes the best of the magnificent thoroughbred and which through the ages has made a special bond between man and horse will be gone forever. As always, hugs and kisses from me to you, Zenny.

Happy Harriet
Queen Zenyatta – you are the jewels in the crown of horse racing. Tonight my phones and internet will be OFF. My door will be CLOSED and a big “Do Not Disturb” sign will be there. My eyes will be glued to the Eclipse awards. Thank goodness your Z Dream Team and YOU are going to get the attention and accolades all of you deserve. You are the w-H-O-L-e package, Zenyatta. Horse of a Lifetime! Since you are a lady under all conditions, you above all will give due credit to Goldikova who is a spectacular and lovely specimen and Blame who is a strong horse with a long nose and a bit of good luck when needed. Let’s all of us remember the graciousness of Blame’s jockey who stood up in his stirrups and saluted Zenyatta OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN after Zenyatta rushed passed Blame in the 2010 Breeder’s Cup. Let’s not blame Blame because his owner is not as well bred as the horse he owns nor the jockey who rides him. Ladies always show dignity and grace under all conditions and your Team will represent those qualities tonight and bring another example to the world of how kind and loving people behave. We thank the Stars and He who placed them there for the Spirit-filled Zenyatta who inspires and motivates all of us daily. Dottie – you are the Daily Diary Diva. THANK YOU!
Eve
Good Luck tonight. You are the best horse ever.
Patti and Don

Oh,Zenyatta you have already won in all of our hearts. The formalities aren’t important! They should ask the American Public to vote – you would win overwhelmingly!
Eileen
Z, you are horse of the year regardless of the vote today. We’ll be watching here in Ma. and wishing and hoping!
Andrea from Germany
Oh my Zenny I wish so much that you will get this award. There is no horse that deserves it more than you. Fingers are crossed.
Rosemary McCauley
Good luck to the Z-Team!
Fran
Lucky butterflies! Z, just so you know that we think you are the Horse of the Ages. I hope, hope, hope you win, but it is only an award-something to put on the mantel. Don’t think it will diminish a thing if you don’t win but keep the faith. No matter what happen, I hope that your fans or Blame’s fans will think twice about making caustic remarks about the other. Free speech is a very good thing, but everyone needs to temper their comments. You will always be the Peoples Horse!!!!! Best wishes and good luck tonight. I know your family is hopeful that you win BECAUSE YOU DESERVE THIS HONOR! I am with them! Love you Z!
