Hello everyone,
It is such a gorgeous morning here in California. I am doing great!
John said I might get to do a bit of jogging today…nothing much…just some fun. He wants to keep me happy and let me stretch my legs. I had lots of visitors yesterday afternoon. Ann came out with her sisters to see me and give me a big hug. Jerry is coming to see me this morning. Lucky me!
A friend emailed Dottie and told her there is a campaign amongst my fans going on to support me in the voting for HOTY. They are writing the NTRA. This makes me feel so special. I truly appreciate all of the kindness people are showing me.
I’m also so touched that so many people really appreciate my efforts and accomplishments. I have tried hard during each of the last 3 years. I have done my very best….and it really makes me feel good that people are trying to honor me for my work and accomplishments!
Wow…here comes Mario, Steve, and John! I’m getting ready to have some fun and stretch my legs.
As I have said so many times…I am one very fortunate horse to have so many of YOU loving and supporting me!
Hugs to all of you~
Z

ZENYATTA’S ROCKETTE by Jan Glover
Zenyatta
In the paddock, on the track,
Her anticipation,
Her Rockette,
Her way of saying, “Y’all ain’t seen nothing yet!!”
Zenyatta
“A gift from God,” Willard says she is,
A living legend, flawless, her perfection transcends.
Known as “Zennie” and “The Queen,”
Magical aura wearing pink and green.
Zenyatta
O Girl Power!!
Horse of the Decade!! Year!! And Hour!!
Un-believe-able!! Cannot Defeat!!
Champion!! SuperStar!! Majestic Athlete!!
Zenyatta
Magnificent creature,
Once you’ve seen her, never will you forget her.
Razzle you, dazzle you, cheer her name,
No doubt about it, racing is her game!!
Zenyatta
She’s a tornado, hailstorm, thunder and lightning without rain,
First to the finish line, always and again.
She brings sunshine and smiles, not a cloud in the sky,
Believe she has wings, catapult of fire, I swear she can fly.
Zenyatta

Tamyatta
Hi Z. My name is Tammi but I dropped the mi and added yatta because I love you and I am so so so proud of you. “Zenyatta” is the most beautiful, classy and perfect name for the most beautiful, classy and perfect racehorse! I almost saw you once but fate cruelly stepped in and ruined it. So I just play youtube and your dvd all the time. There are some outstanding tributes to you…so many people love you so much!I also have a model of you and Mike winning the 09 BCC. I won it on EBAY! It’s on my desk so I can be close to you every day. I look forward to whatever is in your future. I’m sure your family will make the right decision, they always do. Either racing or babies I will continue to pray every day for your health and safety. I’m always loving you!
P.S. Love the webcam idea:)

Simply put – you are the greatest horse of our time – and the last 40 yr. The last 3 yr have been fun and joyful – something that rarely happens in sport. We will have to trust the Mosses to do what is right for you. I hope whatever is next – whenever you do have your babies, you get to keep them close to you so you can teach them to use whatever bits of your greatness you will give to each – as you have used your greatness with its combination of athleticism, heart and soul.

Horse of the year…horse of my heart. I attended my first-ever Breeder’s Cup just to see you, Lady Z. I will never forget. I…am…smitten. Thank you for all you have meant to so many people.
Horse of the year? Of course!!
Paula Higgins
Zenny, tell John to keep jogging you in case Jerry and Ann want to race next year :). Dottie, maybe she isn’t done yet?!
Jane
Hello, beautiful!
So glad you’re home, well and having fun. I wanted to say how much I loved the helmetcam Mike Smith wore while riding you! I hope they make a movie all about you, and you get to play yourself! I wonder if your loving team could post some little video clips of your life down there? Your adoring fans just hate to let you go. Queen Zenyatta, Horse of our Hearts!
Lauren

Dear Zenyatta,
It’s great you arecontinuing to post to all of us…your devoted fans. Now I check each day to see what you’re up to. Glad John took you out for a jog today…do you think maybe…just maybe you want to race a bit more! Just think of all the new dance moves you could work into your great racing in 2011! Remember to talk to Jerry and Ann about finding you Mr. Right in California so you don’t have to leave us and the so cal sunshine. Be Happy beautiful girl!
Becky
Hi sweet girl! We stopped by to see you today, and all I can say is, you are simply majestic! You are, by far, the greatest horse ever! What makes you so unique is not only your tremendous athletic ability, but how you have captured the hearts of people all over the world! Please tell John & Dottie, Jerry and Steve that today was one of the greatest days of my life, and I thank them all so much for sharing you with us today!!! xoxoxo
MaryAnn
Zenyatta, You are the BEST!! Not only are you 2010 Horse of the Year, you are a mare for the ages. You make the world a better place because of how good you make people feel. Love you!
Mary
Zenyatta you really should get to race another year, and I hope you get that chance! You proved to us all that in this year’s BC that you have not even shown us how great you truly are yet (I think so at least!)…You have already proven yourself as an amazing horse, and you are at the top of your game and you obviously LOVE running! I know your owners will do what’s best for you right now, but it seems ashame since they waited so patiently and long for you to finally begin racing! I can’t get enough of your dancing, personality, and charm, and I hope to see ONE MORE YEAR of it! If you race in the BC 2011, there is no doubt in my mind you will not win!
Teresa Jimenez
I hope I get to visit you real soon. You are so much more than just a racehorse. You are a dream come true! I love you Queen Z.
Maria
Queen Z, you’re a magnificent horse, you deserve to win HOTY. What can I do to help so you get the HOTY?
Jenn
Oh Queen Z…NOBODY is ready to let go of you just yet! Not your fans, not John and Dottie, not Mike, not Mario…nor any other important part of Team Zenyatta. Your own Ann, wants you to live in her backyard even. You deserve to stay a West Coast Champion, where the people who surround you, know exactly how to keep you happy!!! Go back to Kentucky to get bred, if you must, but then come home, where you are happy and loved. You tell everyone, you don’t want to be away from your TRUE FAMILY, and forgotten in that “Fairy Tale” land of Bluegrass. It’s cold in KY, it gets humid in KY, and every Star wants to be near Hollywood anyway! You may be Kentucky bred, but you are West Coast loved! Surely, you have won yourself enough money, to have your own “Zenyatta Farm” close to the ones you love and trust the most…those same people who helped get you to where you are today…The Queen of the track and the Queen of millions of hearts!!!
I have a feeling though, that you aren’t quite ready to call it quits, and we will all be seeing you scare off the competition yet again…with fire in your eyes
Love you Z
Jennifer Hodell
Hi Zenyatta… I love you so. Just wondering if Mike has been to see you since the race. I told him to come and see you so you can show and tell him everything is ok. He is not doing so well and needs a nuzzle on the neck and a little nudge from you. Has he been to see you yet?? Love you always…
Ellen Robertson
Dear Zen,
I’ve been wondering if you could go “on tour” – whether you race again or not – to visit people at race tracks or other venues around the country. So many people want to meet you, or just see you in person… You could be both an example of what a well-cared-for thoroughbred racehorse can achieve and maybe also be a spokeshorse for some equine charities. You have such charisma and have become such a celebrity I think you could make a difference in the lives of even more people and horses than you already have if you were to “take your show on the road”…Just a thought…
I know you love to meet people but realize you may prefer to just stay close to home rather than traveling. It just seems you are so much more than a racehorse now; people (like me) who remember Secretariat, people (like me) who lost their hearts to Barbaro, people (unlike me) who have never watched a horse race before are all enthralled by you. If you weren’t a horse you’d be on the talk show circuit right now!
These posts are so much fun to read: I hope you and Dottie keep updating us and including us in your life.
Much Love,
Ellen
Leslie
Thanks for the update Zenyatta! I’m glad you had some fun today.
What you’ve accomplished and done for horse racing is remarkable. Not only are you HOTY, you are the horse of a lifetime!
Love,
Leslie
