Hello everyone,
It is such a gorgeous morning here in California. I am doing great!
John said I might get to do a bit of jogging today…nothing much…just some fun. He wants to keep me happy and let me stretch my legs. I had lots of visitors yesterday afternoon. Ann came out with her sisters to see me and give me a big hug. Jerry is coming to see me this morning. Lucky me!
A friend emailed Dottie and told her there is a campaign amongst my fans going on to support me in the voting for HOTY. They are writing the NTRA. This makes me feel so special. I truly appreciate all of the kindness people are showing me.
I’m also so touched that so many people really appreciate my efforts and accomplishments. I have tried hard during each of the last 3 years. I have done my very best….and it really makes me feel good that people are trying to honor me for my work and accomplishments!
Wow…here comes Mario, Steve, and John! I’m getting ready to have some fun and stretch my legs.
As I have said so many times…I am one very fortunate horse to have so many of YOU loving and supporting me!
Hugs to all of you~
Z

Hey Zenyatta. Sounds like a great day! This is the first place I come every day now to see how you’re doing. It would be great to see you do the father-daughter double at the Dubai World Cup—but I know that all your Team will do what is best for you. Thats the most important thing.
Sheri
Hey there you beautiful horse! It shouldn’t even be a question on who should get HOY! I have asked sooooo many people who they think should be HOY and every single one said “Zenyatta, by far!” I love you! You should go on a world wide tour so everyone can meet you! If you do, maybe consider Indiana… lol love you Zenyatta and I hope you have a filly just like you! Have fun! :)

Every time I see you it brings tears to my eyes and gives me chills, I am not sure why. You are truly something special and helped fill a void when I lost my Mom this spring. I was so worried about you after the BC race wondering what you thought about not going to the winners circle. You did an amazing job and even though you lost by a NOSE, you were the best horse out there, were things reversed Blame wouldn’t have gotten within lengths of you. You deserve HOTY and are the most amazing horse I have ever seen run, and I have seen many. You will be forever in history and in our hearts Queen Zenyatta. Voted also and wrote to Oprah about doing a show about you. If she is smart we will see you there. Please continue to let us know what is happening with you. We love you Zenyatta, and thanks to your owners for being a class act and treating you the way a horse should be treated. Cannot wait to see the babies.
gerry yeager
greetings to you, Your Majesty, Queen Z,
You are the best and keep on enjoying your life and many friends…HOTY to the world of your admirers…and critics(they know you are special whether they want to admit it or not)

So happy I got to see you in person at the Breeders Cup , hope and pray I will get to see you again someday. You are truly a gift from god…

Hey Zenyatta. I hope you’re having a wonderful, relaxing day. I love you, Girl. Until you came along, I didn’t follow the races that much. But you have definitely made me a fan.
I hope someday to meet you. I live in Tennessee and drove up to the Breeders Cup race to see you on Nov 6th. If I come to CA, will your friends let me visit you for awhile? I’d love that.
I look forward to your next blog. Until then, run free…..be happy….and know your fans love and support you always!

Hi Z: I have been a racing enthusiast for around 15 years now. I have been fortunate enough to attend all the big stakes races throughout the years and have seen all of the greats run; however I can say that these past three years have been the most exciting and thrilling by far thanks to you. This Breeder’s Cup was a thrill I don’t think I’ll ever experience again. I can confidently say that you are the most amazing and spectacular horse of my lifetime. You are the horse of the year!!! Luv you Z, you stay safe and happy and thanks you for all the wonderful memories!!!
SELENA

My family enjoys reading your blogs. My wife and I went to Churchill just to see you and you didn’t disappoint. We have signed the petition and are waiting anxiously to learn what’s next for you.
You are a creature of rare beauty and courage. God Bless you and your amazing “connections”.
Ann…if you want to have Zennie visit Virginia we have just the right place for her.

Thank you Zenyatta and your people for the ride of a lifetime. You have thrilled us to no end but that’s just the beginning. You have done so much more. You have transended racing. You have reached hearts and lifted spirits everywhere in these difficult times. You have been a beautiful gift, one of those that somehow seems to come when needed most. I, for one, am truly grateful.
Marilyn
Love ya Z…..stay safe and healthy. You’ll always be hoty in my book

You are horse of the century! You should have gotten HOTY last year and definitely should get it this year, but if you don’t we all know it’s because of politics. Any ways I hope you make your way to Dubai! I know you are not ready to quit racing yet.
Cheryl Heath
You are my HOTY….always. Just a week ago at Churchill, I watched you dance and run like the Queen you are. You and all the connections are amazing and great for the sport.

Dear Queen Z…..Even if the voting powers don’t bestow the honor of HOY on you(I hope and pray they get it right this time)please know that you will always be HOY(or should I say, Horse of a Lifetime) in your adoring fans eyes!! There has never been a horse that has done so much for racing as you have, sweet girl, and you’ll will always have a special place in my heart. Long live Queen Z!!

I have said many times since the breeders cup and will continue to say this, 20 years from now everyone who’s around horse racing will still remember your name and talking about how great you are, while most won’t even remember blame ran in the breeders cup. If it had been just the two of you, it would have been a nascar race where you lapped the field.

Zenyatta I think you need a retirement ceremony like Cigar. It was a great tribute to one great horse like you.Pick some where like Madison Square Garden on the west coast. I hope your owners consider it. He was the peoples horse like you and it gives me chills thinking about it. Zenyatta deserves every credit given to her. Zenyatta you have done alot for my life and I really do appreciate you. I have 11X14 photos, blood horse magazines with you on it, numerous t-shirts, ball caps of you. When you raced I go buy the pretties boutique of flowers and put them in a vase under your pictures on “your wall” in my house. I have prayed to God to a least in my life let me witness one great horse, and I have been blessed because he let me witness you!
I want to know who to write to for Zenyatta for Horse of the Year? Because they need and enlightenment. I really want to voice my opinion because I am a very intelligent horse woman and I feel like I need to tell someone what for.
Pat Cannon
No matter what the so called experts may decide you are Horse of the Year to me and so many others. Good Luck in your retirement and may you pass on your will to win to your babies. Imagine little Zenyattas running – WOW
Kristin Baker
You will ALWAYS number ONE to me!!!!!!!!
Edie Dickenson
Zenyatta, you captured my heart three years ago, and getting to give you a mint last Sunday was so special, just like you. Trevor Denman emailed me, “Everyone knows she was the best horse. Luck in running cost her the win. I still have hope she will be back next year.” I second that, Zenny. You are, without a doubt, the best tonic for racing. I know your connections will do what is best for you. I love you and your great big heart!
Jan
I love to hear from you Zenyatta, but I want to see you too. We need a ZENYATTA-CAM so we can gaze lovingly upon your Zenyatta-ness and ooh and aah at all the little things you do that are so special to us who love you so. Please Team Zenyatta won’t you put up a ZENYATTA-CAM for us?
brandy warman
I got a feeling Zenyatta will not be retired otherwise they would have left her in Kentucky to get ready for her life as a mom
Lynda
Zenyatta, You are so beautiful!! HOTY for sure! We love you so much in Oregon. Keep giving us posts. I watch for them everyday!
Peyton Robertson
I love you Zenyatta!! I was so lucky to see you at the Breeders’ Cup, you are truly an inspiration. I am going to start a facebook campaign to vote you HOTY!!
Jennifer Adelman
Zenyatta you ended with such a remarkable career and no injuries. Glad your retired and safe to breed beautiful babies. Can’t think of any stud that is worthy?!
We will miss your racing but being safe and retired is the best.
Gloria
Hi Big Mama Z! Thanks for the update! Glad you got to stretch those legs…ahhh, that must’ve felt good! Sigh, well, I just now got the latest issue of Blood-Horse magazine in the mail. Dang! Wrong horse is in front, but you should see the “letters to the editor” section, girl! It’s an entire page dedicated to YOU! Then there’s another page on how popular you are after the ‘Classic and it shows all of your fans hanging out with you. And the coverage on the ‘Classic has a lot on you. As it should be. You are awesome, sweet Zenyatta! I know your gang is taking great care of you. Look forward to your next update. XOXO!

Keep the diaries coming — it’s the only way to help us feel close to this great creature if we can’t ever see her in person. She’s got to be HOY this year and for all time. Thank you Team Z for raising and caring for her the way you have — she’s set records on the track and won all our hearts. you did it right. PS Let her run another year. She WANTS to.
Lisa
GO Z. Have a great jog. Boy, I am not ready to see you leave. Even though you would be easier to visit in KY as I live in TN. There is a part of me that would love to see you run again because you seem to be happy doing it. I just can’t believe it is over. But if it is KY were you come I am waiting to visit you then.
