Happy Wednesday Dear Friends,

I have heard that everyone all over the country is PACING, PACING, PACING waiting to hear the news. As of this morning….I have not foaled. I’m not quite sure when it will happen. This is such a new experience for ME!

My dear pals at BARN 55…Mario, Steve, Michelle…and ALL of the others are anxiously waiting for the updates.

I must graciously say…so are YOU. I am extremely proud to announce that we have now passed the 100,000 mark in Face Book Fans. This is truly quite an accomplishment…and I want to THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! This number has more than doubled since I retired from racing and arrived at Lane’s End Farm. We have all come a long way together and have been blessed to share quite a fabulous and amazing journey. Again…THANK YOU!

As for my physical well-being….this morning’s reports are that I am doing great! I guess you could say I am taking my own sweet time to foal. You know ME…I have a tendency to keep people in suspense…on the edge of their seats…waiting to see what happens. That was definitely my racing style…and I gather it is carrying over to my new career in becoming a MOM!

I am happy, healthy, looking quite good (Blush, Blush…if I say so myself)…surrounded by people who adore ME. I genuinely feel all of the LOVE you all have for ME.

    I have been a nervous wreck all day….anxiously awaiting news: ) LOL FB to Twitter over and over and over again. Last night the same thing after Mr. Mikes post cause I am so determine to be sitting right here so I will know the minute it is posted. 1:21 am and here I am ….the suspense is killing me: ) but it is also kinda fun. I just wish we would here something! The most important thing is that you are okay. I know you are with all your loved ones there looking after you not to mention ALL of us out here in the world patiently waiting and waiting and waiting (lol) : ) I am sleeping on the couch for the 2nd night with the computer on..if like last night I will randomly check on you alnight . I love it ! Going to lay down and I will whisper a prayer for you to have a safe and easy delivery and for the precious little filly/colt to be healthy. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday now and always. Sending all my love : )

    Kari’s Daughter Ashton, let me begin by telling you how very sorry I am about the passing of your Grandfather. To have two such losses in your family so close together is heartbreaking. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I loved your description of you dear mother, our Kari, riding Cloud Man and watching over Zenyatta. Love such as that which your mother had for you her family and Zenny can never die, it simply takes on a different spiritual life force. I love seeing your posts. You continue to share your mother’s joy with us!! I saw your name appear on my e-mail a few nights ago saying that Ashton Bussell liked the photo of Secret of the Sea that I posted on Zenny’s Facebook. It made me very happy that you had enjoyed the story and picture. It is wonderful to have you as part of our family!!!

      WOW – Thanks. I did the campaign – Her fans did the rest :)

      It’s my job – I would watch her races before too many people knew about her… and everywhere I went I would show her picture to people – my cellphone wallpaper and photos I had taken of her…. I would say “this is Zenyatta – she’s awesone. I would go watch her works with John and met the Moss’s there and I brought I friend to go meet Zenyatta – it was such a thrill.
      Then people started to notice and would come to the tracks to see her race – TVG would have video give a ways and that was fun.
      I miss her so much!!!! Maybe one day she might return to California – Dreaming *she’s my horse* Dreaming again. She’s the world’s horse Queen Z

        Gloria Jeanne, that is amazing my friend. What golden times you all had when Zenyatta was in California!! Those are definitely forever memories! Isn’t it wonderful that you are still getting to create new ones everyday with Zenny. She is your horse and my horse in our hearts, but at the same time she is the world’s horse. Deep down she is to each of us what we most dream about and admire! Have a fantastic day!!

    Zenny, here’s the second Z-ster’s poem.

    A Birthday Poem for Stephanie in San Diego
    (March 8, 2012)

    Almost from birth
    Stephanie
    Did see
    Horses as God’s gift on earth.
    Through all her years of school,
    The Quarter Horse for her did rule!
    She rode
    And showed
    All over this land
    And found it all grand.
    When she
    In college
    More knowledge
    Sought,
    She two horses
    Along with her brought
    And spent more time with the horses
    Than on her courses
    Some would allege.
    Her whole world
    Around horses twirled,
    And she thought
    ’Twould ever thus be.
    But marriage and a lovely family
    Changed
    That projected history.
    Her focus on the equine
    Was for a time
    Forsaken.
    Now her dear daughter Ashley
    Is out of the nest
    And in a short while
    Will have taken
    A walk down the aisle,
    And Steph does find
    That her mind
    Has in part turned
    To what she once loved best,
    And Z
    Especially
    Has earned
    Her interest.
    Through Z,
    Stephanie
    Has learned
    To treasure
    The Thoroughbred,
    And Steph now takes pleasure
    In planning a return
    To the state of Kentucky
    Where she had been so lucky
    As to live when very young.
    She thinks it would be fun
    In retirement to continue

    To our Sarah in San Diego,
    Who has a Thoroughbred
    By the name of Sprout,

    @ Aunties and Uncles and Grannies and Grampies: It is March 9 on the other side of the date line (hear that, Auntie Judy?) March 8 in KY; and still March 7 in Hawaii. I’m going to sign up on Twitter on my computer, then – – – go to bed. Turning over virtual foal watch to certain Zombies (hear that, Granny Karen?) and trusting twits will tweet me or the cell phone beeps or – – – I awake from this totally crazy dream and find out I’m a normal person, not a looney tune over a horse, of all things – – – :-) NOT!

      Sorry, no. It doesn’t work that way. There are only 24 hours to work with, so you can’t have three different days going at the same time. At 12:35 a.m. Pacific time (when you posted), it was 8:35 pm. just west of the dateline in the Kiribati Islands. In Hawaii it was Wednesday, March 7 at 10:35 p.m.

        It’s still 9:35PM in California on the night of 3/7
        Heading further west, across the dateline, isn’t it the next day? oh wait – RATS – 3/8 – – – sigh. I thought I had something going there.

    Dumplings….. I just woke up from a 2 1/2 hour nap. I’ve been trying to look at the Moon but, it’s behind the tress still, somewhere! LOL However, earlier I was told that it was astonishing to look at. Hmmmm, Maybe tonight is the night? I don’t think anything will be known until morning. If it wasn’t for Mike’s fb last night, I would not have stayed up all morning long! Mikey, if nothing happens soon, you’ll have alot of Dumplings making you blush and not for a good reason. Just kidding. :)

    BTW… Way earlier someone mentioned the “bag” on Zen’s stall. I went back and looked at some of the pics and what I can tell you is this: those are a bag containing “gloves!” That’s why they’re outside every “foaling” stall. I’m sure there’s several pairs in that baggy so that the Nightwatchman and whom ever can check the foals position, if needed. I hope that puts everyone who asked, their minds at ease. Also, I’m up listening to oldies (90’s) LOL… Dancing myself crazy.. Trying to where myself out. yah, like that’s going to help much, right. I can say this, I’ll be sore in the morning.

      I think you are comparing kiwi fruit and cannonballs, one does not really depend on the other. Now NUTS, is another subject, Ican feel myself moving towards that end. How come when younger we could work at least 8 hrs a day, and stay up another 14hrs

    Just got up and hurried to my computer to see if any news yet.
    I flaked out at 1:00 am EST this morning. Today could be the day.
    Hope all you “Sleepless Nuts” don’t make yourselves sick but
    when the blessed event occurs your adrenalin will kick in and
    euphoria will take over.
    Like most of you I bet our dear Zenny is sleeping peacefully being the
    intelligent creature she is and getting her rest to get ready to accomplish the “foaling announced around the world!”
