Dear Friends,

Today marks the end of another year! In my lifetime, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have several very wonderful years filled with the love, kindness and thoughtfulness of so many people.

December 31st can also be a day of great reflection. Often people review the year mentally …and the different paths that took place in their lives. For ME, this was definitely a year of CHANGE. My life and career went from one amazing stage to another…from being the very accomplished professional athlete that I was…to now becoming a broodmare. Hopefully, though, throughout all of these life changes for ME one thing has remained constant….that I have continued to be a TRUE FRIEND to ALL OF YOU….the wonderful people who have shared so many of these experiences with ME!

Additionally, 2011 will always mean a great deal to ME personally for another reason… thanks to ALL OF YOU, MY DEAR OWNERS, and MY DEVOTED FRIENDS AT BARN 55….I became the 2010 HORSE OF THE YEAR last January! I will always celebrate this moment and cherish it! In all sincerity, it did mean the world to ME to be recognized for ALL of my racing accomplishments with this honor. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your part in helping to make it possible!

I know many people are celebrating tonight and making their 2012 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS! Mine are quite simple yet specific….I want to eat right, stay healthy, and become a terrific MOM! I also want to be a loving friend to ALL of YOU and a great role model and inspiration for MY SPORT! It is so special to be able to ‘give something back’. Each of these goals encompasses a very high level of importance to ME!

TASTY and I, TEAM ZENYATTA, BARN 55, and our LANE’S END pals, ALL want to wish EVERY ONE of you a GREAT 2012….blessed with lots of love, great health, happiness, and the joy of realizing your dreams and cherished special moments.

Oh, this is TOO CUTE! We also wanted to start the NEW YEAR with a HIGH HOOF to celebrate our BRAND NEW WEBSITE DESIGN. My dear ‘tech’ friends, TYLER and KYLE, are working on the final details of it at this moment! The site will be down for maintenance for some time on Sunday. Depending on your timezone, the new site will be online Sunday night or Monday morning. I must say, I think it is going to be ONE FUN and VERY EXCITING NEW YEAR!

    Dottie – my hat is off to you with special appreciation for how well your words represent what Zenyatta would surely say if that were possible! It’s been so touching and exciting to be a small part of this big year of change for Zenyatta, especially to anticipate the birth of her foal. I’m sure all Zenyatta connections are eager for a safe delivery and healthy foal. THANK YOU always for sharing the incredible QUEEN of thoroughbreds with us!!

    Dearest Zenny,
    This past year has been blessed with daily visits and updates from you and everyone here. Thank You for being such a joyful part of 2011!! I love you and look forward to what 2012 will bring for all of us…especially on March 8th (LOL JAG xoxo). Seriously…can’t wait to see you with you precious foal, healthy and happy. A baby could not be born into a more loving family.

    Happy New Year to everyone! Yes, I and I am sure many others here were all over the internet campaigning for you last year for Horse of the Year. You deserved it and so much more. I will love you forever! Thanks so much to Dottie and Team Z for taking such good care of you and letting us be part of your life. Now if we can just talk Dottie into a visit :)

    Thank you for the last posting of the year with the picture of your wonderful John adoring you. You look like you are blushing. It will be a great year and in a few months you will be a Mom, and as John says, you are exceptional at everything you do, so we know you will be an exceptional Mom.

    My Dearest Zenyatta, Love you with all my heart. I hope you have a wonderful New Year. I think the best thing that I can do for you and I do it with all my heart, is pray that the good Lord will keep you healthy and you will have a wonderful healthy foal. I pray that God and all of his Angels will be with you and your foal where you are and take care of you both.
    Now, I have to get a little funny here too. I know your a southern girl too so I have to ask, what do you think of this tradition of the Black Eyed peas for New Years, Well you know there suppose to make you healthy Wealthy and Wise. But, listen as someone else said earlier I think it might have been Kari. I do think you better stick to the Carrots and Pears. Or was that Barbara, well Zenny someone was talking about it. Listen I have done had some Black eyed peas tonight and they are good.
    Speaking of Southern Food, I read don’t know if its true, but this is too cute, Someone said that Funny Cide liked Cracker Barrell Bisquits. They said they would let him have one once in a while, I just thought that was too cute. ( I am stealing a line from you guys.)
    Zenny, I just don’t know about that. Do you think bisquits would be good for you horses????????
    Anyway, I’m tearing up now, thinking about you and the video of A. P. Indy. Just love that boy so as you. Just think he will be your baby’s GrandDad. How Wonderful. I love You.

    Zenyatta, you will be ‘Horse of All-Time’ in the hearts of your fans. There may be new horses that come along that we watch and enjoy, but you will remain forever in our hearts.
