Happy December 23rd!
In the midst of all of the pre-holiday rush, it appears that SANTA was so busy and moving about so quickly that his hat flew off. Luckily for him, STELLA and VIOLET found it!
Dottie told ME that Ann and Jerry are going to set it by their tree immediately to be sure DEAR SANTA gets it back as soon as possible! We’re sure he’ll be needing it to complete his CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES!
It has been a very special year for ME and the people who are so, so close to ME. We can’t thank ALL of you enough for the kindness and loving spirit you have shared with EACH of US throughout ‘my countless adventures and racing career’.
We’re all sending you one big HIGH HOOF!
With Love,
Hugs to All~(This is TOO CUTE…Stella, Violet, Ann and Jerry add their HOLIDAY CHEER to ALL!!!!)

@JAG — BRAVA,JUDY! Thank you for finding/posting the video of Eblouissante galloping. What a thrill! Those big, beautiful ears! Long, graceful neck and silky mane! She is a beauty and so professional. We just love her and must visit her again soon.

@Dawn Conrad — Mad for Smarty — what a beautiful, heartwarming story. We were especially attached to Smarty Jones and finally got to see him during a visit to Three Chimneys in November 2010 shortly before he was moved to stand in PA.

@Kari — We agree that Beethoven’s Ode to Joy along with Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus are the two most beautiful, inspirational compositions ever written. Never tire of hearing them.

@signofthetimes — Just love those Clydesdales. We miss seeing them at SeaWorld. SeaWorld always had a mare and foal in residence as well as the gelding team that pulled the wagon. One of our most memorable experiences was observing a mare and her young filly in the paddock as the team was being prepared for the daily show. The filly was at the fence watching all the activity with great fascination. One could only anthropomorphize that she was thinking, “That’s what I want to do when I grow up!”

@Barbara Grimaldi–I second every word you said. Can’t think of a thing to add.
Elizabeth in NM–thank you, and please stay safe in that bad weather.
@All Dumplings going on the road–please be careful and come back safely to us!

@Abigail in Montreal– our grandhorse is actually an Appendix QH–that’s what makes his pedigree so fascinating to me. Like you, I love the stories of the “old” ones who have gone before. I have 2 notebooks of articles about them, many from your columns. Thank you for making those available!

What an exciting ride on Ebby!!! She is just so gorgeous and obviously the new “in resident princess” Thanks for the you tube link and Karen you went and saw Giacamo – I have to go too. He was my favorite boy along with Closing Argument the year Giacamo won the KD. A super fun 1-2 punch to my disbelieving friends and relatives.
All links today, too many to mention but thanks so much. It’s been fun to come hide out and be with my Zenyatta virtual friends and Zenyatta. Hugs to all.

@Elizabeth in NM! Wow you do have a White Christmas going on don’t you? Been to Taos and Angel Fire in late September when we got in a snowstorm/flurry. Beautiful country.
I have an unusual name, it’s Delrene –
my Mom and Dad’s together!
Merry Christmas to you and all the posters!, Zenyatta, TT and all a blessed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
