Dear Friends,
This is truly the season for GIVING and SHARING!
MY JOHN captured this photo of my dear baby sister, EBLOUISSANTE, while she was trying to encourage STEVE to really get into the “spirit of the season” and share his sandwich with her.
Steve not knowing E’s taste in these types of things was taken a bit by surprise! A horse…wanting a sandwich….HMMMM!
After chuckling for a bit, and acknowledging the fact that this type of ‘people’ food might NOT be the best for “E”….he was prepared to give her her favorite treat having a big bag of carrots by his side.
“E and STEVE” you are both TOO CUTE!
I so enjoy SHARING so many things with ALL OF YOU each day! Thank you for allowing ME to be a part of ALL OF YOUR LIVES!
With Love,
Hugs to All~
Z
Dottie and John want to THANK YOU for the numerous Anniversary greetings! Your kindness is deeply appreciated. SOPHIE also wanted ME to tell you ….she loved all of the “SHE IS TOO CUTE” comments as well! Again…many thanks!

Such a sweet picture – Steve did look a little surprised there!! I’m sure “E” was just as smitten with a carrot – I see that big bag he has by his feet!!
I’ll bet there will be some carrots in your Xmas stocking this year!! Happy Day to you!

Dearest Z–what an adorable picture of Ebby! She is loaded with personality just like you, I think. Thank you so much for sharing.
I just watched the YouTube video sent out by our John. It is of Morning Line being ridden at the main track. He is so beautiful, and no wonder–he is a son of Tiznow (one of my heartthrobs). Wishing him all the best and good health.
@Terry Crow–too funny! Duly noted that I am NOT to ask you for any Lady Bear, football Bear, or any other kind of Bear endorsements.
I had thought Steve had retired? Was that wrong information? Maybe someone can fill me in.

@Zenny: Your sister’s beautiful head and long elegant neck just blow me away! Now if that sandwich had dandilion greens and water cress in it, that would be a tasty treat to steal from Steve!

Z, I brought you some hachiya persimmons last year when I visited with you and explained to Steve how they should ripen before he gave them to you. I’ve wondered what happened to those persimmons and if you had a chance to eat one. They are SO GOOd and I have a bumper crop of them this year.

EBLOUISSANTE is so sweet! She gave me a kiss when I was visiting her….and I have the picture to prove it!

What a TOO CUTE picture of your baby sister, Zenyatta! I bet Steve would love to share his sandwich with her but knows that she can only eat the good stuff that John wants her to eat. I missed reading your post yesterday, so I didn’t get a chance to wish John and Dottie a Happy Anniversary! And I wish them many, many more years of happiness!

Vertingeux is SOME HORSE!! She produces the most beautiful girls in all the world. Much love to Zenny, Tasty, and Ebby!

Zen, Dottie, John and all….With the hussle bussle of the season, I wanted to say Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! I know that it won’t be long now Queen Z that you will be hearing little hooves bouncing around. You, Dottie and John have so brightened not just my world but so many that love all of you. The world is waiting for the first glimpse of that precious baby that we all already love! Sit back and enjoy the season. I want to share a verse with you…”And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True and in righteousness He judges and wages war. (Revelation 19:11).
I believe God loves horses cause He chose one for Jesus to return on….
Merry Christmas!
Randy
GREAT picture! My horse used to eat anything she saw us eating and that included politely taking food right out of our hands if we weren’t careful. We could never let her come into our backyard when we were barbecuing or she would’ve been in that as well. She used to chew gum too. She was a serious hunter/jumper in the show ring but a total clown at home. How I miss her.

@Laura J
Don’t think John would be very happy about a
Sandwich. Oats, hay and other delectable veggie
things are his basic diet. Steve has been know to
Let Zenny “act up” a little on gallops, but John calls
Him on it. Don’t think he would be wanting to make
“any diet” additions.

No thank you Z, Lanes End, Barn 55 for letting us be in your lives, we would be lost without all of you. Got to love the photo of Eby and Steve :) Steve is such a wonderful man, I hope alot of you have had the chance to meet him. Thanks for all the updates you give us. A bunch of us are planing on being there at the track when Eby makes her her first start, this coming year, look so forward too it.
Jenna
Oh my goodness. We have another hot ticket on our hands!
Yay!
Jenna
Question: Is E in Z’s old stall?
Casey
my draft horse Buddy, used to surprise me by grabbing a bite of a cheeseburger I’d be eating. He seemed partial to IN n OUT, especially their french fries.. Man, I miss him… Such a clown he was, and so very smart- and even taller than you, my Queen lol

Hey Big Mama Z!! Thanks for that info on “E”. I can’t wait to see her run. So excited about that. She is beautiful. She takes after her big sister. Hope you are doing great. XOXO!

I love this picture! It is so adorable. I hope everyone is having a safe Christmas, Huanakah (sorry if it’s mispelled), or Holiday season and safe travels to all!
–When will “Ebby” have her first race does anyone know yet ?
Good day to all,

Yes, Ebby is in Zenyatta’s former stall. Barn 55 left a copper type name plate just above the door: “ZENYATTA”… no way would they forget Zen resided there :D
