Dear Friends,
This is truly the season for GIVING and SHARING!
MY JOHN captured this photo of my dear baby sister, EBLOUISSANTE, while she was trying to encourage STEVE to really get into the “spirit of the season” and share his sandwich with her.
Steve not knowing E’s taste in these types of things was taken a bit by surprise! A horse…wanting a sandwich….HMMMM!
After chuckling for a bit, and acknowledging the fact that this type of ‘people’ food might NOT be the best for “E”….he was prepared to give her her favorite treat having a big bag of carrots by his side.
“E and STEVE” you are both TOO CUTE!
I so enjoy SHARING so many things with ALL OF YOU each day! Thank you for allowing ME to be a part of ALL OF YOUR LIVES!
With Love,
Hugs to All~
Z
Dottie and John want to THANK YOU for the numerous Anniversary greetings! Your kindness is deeply appreciated. SOPHIE also wanted ME to tell you ….she loved all of the “SHE IS TOO CUTE” comments as well! Again…many thanks!

Dearest Zenyatta,
Love the photo! Looks as though your little sis, Eblouissante, has your inquisitive personality. You must be so very proud of her! Let’s hope she has your fabulous legs, too!
Have a lovely day in Kentucky with Tasty and all your pals.

Dear Zenny – I saw your little sister this past Sunday and she is certainly taking after YOU! She quite enjoys your lawn and your stall #85. Besides her grace (for a baby :) ), her presence (those ears and hind quarters!), and her interest in EVERYTHING going on around her – she poses just like YOU! Head over to one side and looks straight at you. Like YOU, she is BEAUTIFUL – sisters are so special!
And speaking of relatives; your previous neighbor, Violet Rose in the stall next to you, shares your Dad – Street Cry. she is quite the LOVE!
Dottie & John – hope YOUR day yesterday was spectacular!!!! Love, Linda & George

I love that you are about to embark on the journey of being a mom but gosh, Z, I sure miss you on the track! You moved me like Secretariat moved me… And the only other horse that came close was Barbaro – we never go to see his true greatness but I’m so glad I got to witness yours! You are perfection breathed into equine! Love you girl!
Jan
Very sweet! Thanks for sharing your family with us Z!
Barbara
SO cute!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the photo!

I remember our stallion, Delta Quick Blow, eating whatever my son would eat…including a baloney and horseradish sandwich! And eating his half! Loved that old horse….

I thought Steve had retired? Or did he just have to stay around for your little sister “E”? Whatever the case – it’s great to see his photo. He was so nice to us at Del Mar when we saw you the morning after the 2009 Clement Hirsh (remember how you almost caused the entire crowd to have heart failure?).
Everyone associated with you is such a “class act”.
Happy Belated Anniversary to the Shirreffs!
Looking forward to seeing “E” at the races.

Dear Z,
Your Little Sis, E, seems to have the same curious, playful, people friendly, carrot loving personality as her Big Sis. What wonderful traits to pass down to Little Z. Love you and love to all of you, Judy and Russ

lol…remind me of when my horse Treasure sneaking over my shoulder one time and eating my sausage biscuit when my head was turned!! Then after that, I just let her drink my orange juice too to help her “wash it down.” Imagine my surprise to learn she loved both the biscuit AND the orange juice!

Zenny, your mom sure had some beautiful babies! I’m so happy to see your Steve again. I remember him saying he retired from riding after your last race but remains as part of John’s staff at the Barn. Good for him…good for all the horses who get to experience his wit and personality. I’m also curious, Queen Z. What IS the most unusual thing you ever tasted?
sue and Tony
@Misty, your post is just “TOO CUTE”. We love hearing from other horse owners who share stories about their animals. Zenyatta, your Steve no doubt is enjoying himself just being around Barn 55. Such good vibes reside there…and your little sis seems to have settled right in. It’s a great pic of the two of them.

Such a cool pic of Steve and your sister, Eblouisante. Sure looks as if she is very inquisitive and interested in whatever food is around. Thank goodness for the bag of carrots.
