To all my dear, loving fans,
I want to THANK all of you for your support, encouragement and love.
I gave it a good GO in the Breeders’ Cup Classic…and tried my best! I’m home now at my Hollywood Park Barn. The flight back to California was great. My friends, Mario, Frank and Harmonious, traveled on the plane with me. It was a smooth trip!
The last week has been exciting and thrilling! I had a great time in KY and everyone was so kind to me. I posed for hundreds and hundreds of photos yesterday alone with so many fabulous fans. They brought me Z cakes, apples, peppermints, and carrots. They hugged me, kissed me, and made me feel so special. I am one lucky mare.
Then when I got back to the barn there was a great WELCOME HOME ZENYATTA sign hanging at the barn. People signed it with such sweet messages for me! Everyone makes me feel so special.
Today, I’ll walk and relax a bit and, of course, GRAZE! LUCKY ME!
Hugs to all…and again…THANKS TO ALL OF YOU for being so loving and supportive of me and all of TEAM ZENYATTA.
With great appreciation…
Love,
Z

Congratulations Zen!!You ran the race of your life. I was so proud of you when I calmed down enough and watched the replay. You were not used to the dirt in your face and you put it behind you and dug down deep and finished like a champion. DON’T RETIRE!!You are obviously at the top of your game and you love the spotlight and all the people. I am going to come see you in a couple of weeks from Arizona if John will let me.

Dear Zenyatta,
We cannot begin to express the joy and happiness you have given us. Your charm and personality were only enhanced by your unbelievable ability on the race track.
There never was, nor will there be, a more talented, deserving champion.

Dearest Zenyatta, I cry as I read your letter to your loving fans. I am so heartbroken that you did not get your 20th win by winning the Breeder’s Cup Classic. Who can we send emails to, that you should win Horse of the Year? You are the reason horseracing attracted more fans than ever this year. You won our hearts and love, not just now, but forever. Queen Z, please let us know when you will make any public appearance(I live in WA state, so have to travel). Please keep writing to us on this site. All my love and prayers for safe racing, and grazing. Mary

Thank you so much to team Zenyatta for sharing her with all of us. Although we wanted the win with all of our hearts, we know that you ran with all of YOUR heart, and we are so proud. I hope Mike doesn’t take it too hard, because he let Zen run the race she wanted to run, and he has done such a good job in helping keep her safe. Thanks for being the best horse with the best team in the world!

Zenyatta you were the best in the Classic day. I think you should have trained on the dirt and got used to the dirt hitting you.
You were the best that day! We love you. My family is very proud of you!

Dearest Lady Z,
I have enjoyed watching you run for the past 2 years. Saturday was such an emotional day for all of us fans. You did not disappoint! I cried at the end both tears of sadness and tears of joy. Sadness because you only needed one more stride. Joy because you lifted the sport of horse racing. I look forward to watching your babies make their attempts at your greatness. You will always be the greatest horse of all time in our house.
Love,
The Townsends

Z,
You need to convince the people you own, Mr. Shireffs and the Moss’, to take you to Dubai so that you can win the World Cup!
Heather Myers
Dear Z: All you needed was one more jump. You ran in your usual gallent and beautiful fashion. It has been a privilege to watch you. I have seen all the great ones from Citation on, but none are greater than you. I love you like you belonged to me. I wish you a long and happy life. If you retire to KY, maybe I will surely drive from CT to KY to see you. It would be a thrill of a lifetime to just touch you one time. God bless you, Jerry & Ann Moss, John & Dottie Sherrifs and Mike Smith for giving a 73 year old lady so many thrilling moments. Stay well and happy, beauty.

You flew before the wind with grace and majesty, and we are so very deeply proud of you.

Your the greatest. I will miss your little dances!
Shirley Scott
If racing wants to please the fans, you will be horse of the year like you deserve. Or they can boost the stud fee on Blame by giving it to him. Who does more for racing. TheFans.
Chrissy
Hi Zennie….Your fans are so very proud of you….especially me. I admire you and I want to wish you the very best in your retirement. Please promise me one thing…don’t ever stop dancing! I hope you continue to dance for many years.

Great effort, Zenny! You and your whole team are a class act and I wish you all the best!! (and if you feel like running some more, tell Mom and Dad that your fans wouldn’t mind either!!) Whatever the future holds – know that you are the Best!!
Louise Bland
Thank you, darling “Z”. I cried for you, because you actually won. No horse outran you. Mike, was right, he waited a second too long before letting you go!
1/2 second…can you believe how fast you ran to the front of the line? — that in itself was like a flash! YOU’RE THE BEST RACE HORSE IN THE WORLD!
When you dance and tell us how much you love us, it brings tears to my eyes.
xoxox
Until then,
Louise
