To all my dear, loving fans,
I want to THANK all of you for your support, encouragement and love.
I gave it a good GO in the Breeders’ Cup Classic…and tried my best! I’m home now at my Hollywood Park Barn. The flight back to California was great. My friends, Mario, Frank and Harmonious, traveled on the plane with me. It was a smooth trip!
The last week has been exciting and thrilling! I had a great time in KY and everyone was so kind to me. I posed for hundreds and hundreds of photos yesterday alone with so many fabulous fans. They brought me Z cakes, apples, peppermints, and carrots. They hugged me, kissed me, and made me feel so special. I am one lucky mare.
Then when I got back to the barn there was a great WELCOME HOME ZENYATTA sign hanging at the barn. People signed it with such sweet messages for me! Everyone makes me feel so special.
Today, I’ll walk and relax a bit and, of course, GRAZE! LUCKY ME!
Hugs to all…and again…THANKS TO ALL OF YOU for being so loving and supportive of me and all of TEAM ZENYATTA.
With great appreciation…
Love,
Z

You’re the best girl, you gave us a great run and made us all very proud. Like a Champion, you put your whole heart into your every performance. We adore you and will always consider you to be our Champion. My hats off to you; a very fine and respected little (ha – big) girl. We love and admire you.

You did a great job Zenyatta. Rather you home in your barn then injured by pushing to hard. It’s not over yet- you have alot of race left in you

I had to go to the Breeders Cup this weekend to see you in person, after being such a fan for so long. I waited on the rail in the paddock for close to 3 hours to catch a quick glimpse. What an experience to be there with so many thousands of people, all just wanting to see you. What a thrill you have given us! Thank you for being so fabulous! I pray that the Moss’s will send you to live at a farm that will allow visitors to come see you. It would make my heart smile to see you living happily in a beautiful farm with all the thick lush grass you could want and people adoring you. I wish I could wrap my arms around your neck and give you a big kiss for all the joy you have given us! Much love to you!

Queen Z, You will always be the queen of racing. Not just for how you have raced but for what you have done for racing. You have added breath to a dying sport! Thank you for everything!

You are true beauty and grace, especially as you race along the track. You are a true champion, running with the heart and spirit of all your adoring fans. We love you Zenyatta!

You are in a category all by yourself, I have never seen a sweeter, more majestic, amazing race horse. You so have my vote for HORSE OF THE YEAR! You have done more for horse racing in the last couple of years than any horse or people! Way to go to Jerry & Ann Moss, John Shireffs, Mario and all who help in her care and training, and to Mike Smith you have been incredible. Much love to all and hopefully we will always be able to follow Zenyatta in her life journey from here on out.

WELCOME HOME QUEEN ZENYATTA. I know from the bottom of my heart that you gave it your Best and I admire and respect you for that. You beat the boys 19 out of 20 times. Who else has that record? And you know what? I am not perfect and to expect perfection from you is unfair and inhuman (or inhumane). I think of all your winnings this year and all the intangibles that you brought to horseracing-the excitement, thrill and the famous strut. You deserve to be “Horse of the Year”.
Eryn
P.S. I do hope you will get to race again, at least once more. You and Mike deserve it so much.
Much love,
Jennifer Remazki
Beautiful Queen Zenyatta,
What a remarkable career, what a valiant effort in the BCC. No horse could have pulled off what you did coming from 20 lengths back. You are magnificent, awe-inspiring, sensational and transcendent. I love you girl. No one can diminish the incredible achievements you have accomplished and the thrills, chills and love you have shared with your ever-increasing fan-base! And you have the most awesome team…kudos for all your have done for Zenyatta and the sport. You are more than Horse of the Year in my book – you are one in a million. The Horse of a Lifetime! xx

You and your connections are the ones to be thanked by us fans. You provided us with both thrills and amazement. Anyone lucky enough to have seen you run or just pose, will carry the memories of those moments for the rest of their lives. So thanks a million you big, beautiful mare!

Congratulations on a terrific race! Didn’t like the dirt in your face, did you, Pretty Girl?! I was so sorry you did not win but you proved you can run on dirt and beat the boys. Blame was lucky to win. Would you consider him as a father? I hope I get to see you in person some day.
Dana Davis
You remain the best horsie in my book! We should be the ones saying Thank You Z!!!
Kathie Gibson
You were so exciting to watch!

Maybe it was her majestic beauty.
Maybe her size.
Maybe it was the way her jockey’s eyes would light up when he talked about her.
Maybe it was how she danced for the crowd.
Maybe it was her heart.
All Iknow is that horse captured and inspired the hearts of people who don’t follow horsing racing(like myself). She and Mike gave us something to hope for and be excited about during very difficult and hard times.
I wanted to thank her and Mike for that special gift. If she had won it would of been wonderful. But the fact that she beat 10 males and came from so far behind tells me that she had so much heart I am still inspired by her. And gratful for the days of hope that preceeded the race.
She is absolutely lovely. And so lucky to have been purchased, polished and protected by all of you.

Team Zenyatta is truly a gift from GOD and I am so thankful to have been a witness to true and honest greatness that is second to none. Zenyatta,
Only you can turn defeat into victory.
You have proven in defeat what many horses cannot prove with a win.
And HOY or not, you still hold the bigger title, awarded not by a small group of people, but by the entire racing industry: Racing’s Queen.
You absolutely rule!
susanne conway
Glad you are safe and home. Thank you all for everything.

I know you’re glad to be back home where there’s lots of green grass without all those nasty-tasting dry brown things!
You may not have won, but God answered many prayers that you’d have a safe trip in the race, come out of it sound, and a safe trip home! We love you, Zenny, and we’re gonna miss you terribly!
