I want to THANK all of you for your support, encouragement and love.
I gave it a good GO in the Breeders’ Cup Classic…and tried my best! I’m home now at my Hollywood Park Barn. The flight back to California was great. My friends, Mario, Frank and Harmonious, traveled on the plane with me. It was a smooth trip!
The last week has been exciting and thrilling! I had a great time in KY and everyone was so kind to me. I posed for hundreds and hundreds of photos yesterday alone with so many fabulous fans. They brought me Z cakes, apples, peppermints, and carrots. They hugged me, kissed me, and made me feel so special. I am one lucky mare.
Then when I got back to the barn there was a great WELCOME HOME ZENYATTA sign hanging at the barn. People signed it with such sweet messages for me! Everyone makes me feel so special.
Today, I’ll walk and relax a bit and, of course, GRAZE! LUCKY ME!

What a thrill to watch you, Queen Z. I travelled to the BC @ Santa Anita last year and saw you in person for the first time. Wow. I became a believer instantly unlike many here on the East Coast. You sure showed them what you are made of on Saturday, though. You showed how powerful a smart girl with an attitude can be. I was there and you were great. Courage, heart, and talent. A true champion. A real beauty, too. You and your team gave us so much. Thank you. We all loved the ride. Relax and enjoy now, big girl.

Zenny, beautiful girl – Just because your wonderful nose didn’t cross the finish line first doesn’t mean that you are not a winner. In my mind you were the winner of that race. To come from so far back to where you finished was a feat unmatched by any horse in history. Some would say it was impossible – but you did it. You are the most amazing creature I have ever seen. You are big, you are beautiful, you are insanely charismatic and you have so much heart. You charm everyone who meets you and everyone who watches you. You have so much personality and intelligence. You are more ‘human’ than many people I know. To say you are adored by millions is an understatement. The fact that you have never, ever been passed by a single horse is incomprehensible. Even race horses with winning careers and the most famous and adored race horses in history cannot say that. But you can, Z. There has never been – nor will there ever be – another horse like you, Z. You are one in a million! I know your owners will enjoy taking care of you and pampering you for years and years to come. I will enjoy reading and seeing anything about you that I can find. Zenyatta and ALL her connections are simply THE BEST! First off, thank you, Zenyatta, for being the spectacular star that you are, and for giving your adoring fans so many wonderful memories! And many thanks to John Shirreffs, Steve Willard and Jerry & Ann Moss for being so generous and kind about sharing Zenyatta with those who love her so much. I was lucky enough to visit her at Hollywood Park during two of her morning workouts and hope to have one more chance to see her there before she goes to her new home. Finally, a huge shout out to Mike Smith — a fantastic jockey with a heart of gold who deserves tremendous praise and accolades for guiding Zenyatta to so many amazing victories & who helped her pull off a near-win against the very best MALE horses in the world on Saturday!!! My name is Ella & I am only 5, but I think you are the most beautiful & strongest horse I have ever seen. I also love watching your videos of you dancing & prancing on you tube. I asked my mom to buy me one of your TROTT t-shirts for christmas. After watching you at the Breeder’s Cup Friday, I convinced my Nanny to pay for riding lessons for me. Been a fan of horse racing for years and you are truley a remarkable horse.Im not gonna sit here and debate horse of the year because there is no debate. Two years from know noone will even remember Blame. Who won the B.Cup classic 2 years ago, actually I forgot, so there is my point. You are truley AWESOME and no horse since Barbaro has captured racing like you. You are still at the top of your game, you are like a rock star, and the fans still want to see you, the jockey still wants to ride you and your trainer still wants to train you, and your owners don’t want you to go Kentucky. So the selfish part in me says run in 2011, as the Tina Turner song goes “Simply the Best” and thats you!!
