To all my dear, loving fans,
I want to THANK all of you for your support, encouragement and love.
I gave it a good GO in the Breeders’ Cup Classic…and tried my best! I’m home now at my Hollywood Park Barn. The flight back to California was great. My friends, Mario, Frank and Harmonious, traveled on the plane with me. It was a smooth trip!
The last week has been exciting and thrilling! I had a great time in KY and everyone was so kind to me. I posed for hundreds and hundreds of photos yesterday alone with so many fabulous fans. They brought me Z cakes, apples, peppermints, and carrots. They hugged me, kissed me, and made me feel so special. I am one lucky mare.
Then when I got back to the barn there was a great WELCOME HOME ZENYATTA sign hanging at the barn. People signed it with such sweet messages for me! Everyone makes me feel so special.
Today, I’ll walk and relax a bit and, of course, GRAZE! LUCKY ME!
Hugs to all…and again…THANKS TO ALL OF YOU for being so loving and supportive of me and all of TEAM ZENYATTA.
With great appreciation…
Love,
Z

I know I am just one of millions of your fans..I just started following you the beginning of this year but have seen every one of your races on computer. My sister in law took me to Keeneland after my husband passed and then told me about you. I am not a gambler but I do appreciate beautiful animals when an exceptional one comes along.thanx for the ride..Now you deserve to lay back and just have babies..God’s speed and enjoy..It has been a real pleasure watching you…

Zenyatta,
You have revitalized the industry, given us years of wonderful racing, proven you could run with the best, and are one “class act” – a horse with great speed as well as great heart. You are “Horse of the Year” in my book!
Susan
Welcome home Zenyatta. This race showed your true heart and magnificence—you were incredible. Thank you for everything.

I have never been interested in horses whatsoever..but after hearing about Lady Z on 60 minutes, I can’t get enough of her! still upset about kentucy derby – she so should have won!

I love you Big Z. You’re such a brave, beautiful, fantastic racehoss. We all aspire to be just like you.
It’s awfully hard to be perfect that’s why you left a little flaw in your perfect perfect life.

Dear Z: I have followed you whenever and wherever you ran. You are the most spectacular thoroughbred I have ever seen. As a former Florida-based owner and breeder, I know how hard it is to find perfection…and you are it! I feel so blessed to have seen you and enjoyed every thrill you gave me and race fans. What you have done for the industry in general is wonderful. I think it would be a travesty if you were not awared Horse of the Year…as you are truly the Horse of the Decade…perhps the best ever!!! I hope you will let us know where you will retire, as I will surely plan to come and visit…and bring apples, of course! I will miss you…racing for me will never be the same again. All my love, Patricia

Zenyatta, you will always be the winner, no matter what. You are so beautiful….you reminded me of Marilyn Monroe when you were being brought from the barn to the racetrack, the way the cameras loved you and the way you were showing out when people cheered for you. I love you and keep us posted on what you are doing!
Diane Martin
I love you Zenyatta. You are the greatest. That stretch run was incrdible. I was so blessed to be able to love on and sing to you a bit on Sunday. That was the absolute best time I had and made the trip from California to KY so special. You will forever live in my heart as the QUEEN.

Zenyatta has done so much for us all and now its time for her to relax and enjoy the retired life. We will all miss her and miss seeing her run but hope to see her in retirement. I wish I could have been there in Kentucky to give you some treats and a big hug and kiss. Thank you team Zenyatta for allowing us to share her with you.
Mary Hale
You are awesome. In my book, you were the winner after making up that distance and getting out of traffic. Give Mike Smith a big kiss — I could tell he was devastated but he was awesome as well. What a team!

Dear Zenyatta,
You are such a wonderful, incredible horse. I am so proud of what you did in the Breeders Cup. You are Horse of the Year, certainly! I really hope that you can convince people that they need to make a movie about you. I can hardly wait to see it. Please enjoy every minute of your well-earned retirement!!!!
Yvonne and Maurice Kirby
Hi – I have been to most of your races, even fortunate to be allowed to be in the winner’s circle at your 19th win in Hollywood Park. You were awesome in the Breeder’s Cup Classic, a true champion. Please let your fans know when you will have a ceremony at Hollywood Park. My husband and I will be on the first flight out to see you. With all our love,
Yvonne and Maurice Kirby

You enjoy your grazing, girl. You deserve it. You deserved that win, too, but 2nd is nothing to shake a stick at. Keep at it big girl. I can’t wait to see your babies :)
Carolyn McFall
Zenyatta, you took your fans with you on every ride. No racing team could have been more accommodating to the fans. No one ever let the fans be a part of the process. You made us FLY! Thank you.
If you do not win HOY this year, I think your fan base should have a giant party online to celebrate your career and your life. We could put the HOY celebration to shame. Thank you from the little 9 year old girl who still lives within this 67 year old woman. You are her hero.

Zenyatta, thank you for giving us all such memorable moments that will live in our hearts and minds forever. We wish you could race on for years to come but we know that all good things must end. We love you and hope that we will still be able to see you when you go to your new life. There will never be another Zenyatta.
Kathleen
You’re still the greatest, and have done so much for the sport. Love you. I hope you will be Horse of the Year this year; you are the best, and that can’t be overlooked. If HOY automatically goes to BC Classic winner, you were robbed last year. Hope the voters make amends this year.
Robin Barnhill
Hope you will post and keep us up to date on her activities. Love this horse – and would like to follow along with her retirement activities.
“Long live the Queen!”

Zenyatta,
I was at Churchill Downs and watched you run, you were magnificent, one more stride was all you needed to win. You are the greatest I have ever seen! I also saw you grazing by Barn 41 and took your picture over and over again. Just saying your name gives me chills. I will forever remember my trip to Louisville just to see YOU run! I brought home Zenyatta caps for all of my friends. When we ride with our caps on we will know as the Zenyatta Gang! Have a wonderful retirement and enjoy your grazing.
William
i haven’t been a horse race fan for very long only because I don’t have cable or sat. I am so greatful to see so many people care for Zenyatta! I have been able to see her race at the local racetrack and she is so amazing!! She is such an inspiration and I would love to be able to meet her some day! Thank you for allowing me to send an e-mail!

I was at the BC. I am “older Z fan” but the most amazing was a woman at least 90 yr old who waited(standing the whole time) in the same spot by the paddock for at least 6 hours I know of. THAT is love and devotion.
I also went to Fasig Tipton sale next night and saw a horse who had won in the Juvenile division at BC sold for 1.1 million – and he was scared, licking his lips. Z’s owners will care for her and for this I am grateful.
Please let us see Z in future when she is not on track. She is loved for who and what she is.

Thank you Zenyatta!

We love you Z. You are the best ever. We hope to meet you in person some day. We would love to see you run again, but will understand if you don’t. We would sure miss you. Much love.
Linda Weiss
Love you Zenyatta!! Thinking of you everyday.
Jill
We were one of the lucky ones to have met you the morning after you raced and got some great video and photos. I wish I had known you loved bananas so much! We would have brought you a few, Thanks to Mario who was so patient with all the adoring fans too! We feel so honored to be part of this history and to have seen you in person this year AND last at the BC!
As a side note, we were thinking you should be bred to BLAME and the baby should be called Dontblamethejockey. LOL!
