Good Morning, Everyone!

I truly love to stand in my paddock and GREET all of my Lane’s End Pals as they are busy driving around the farm and working. I must say that is one of the greatest parts of where TASTY and I have our paddock…we are right in the middle of everything. It is absolutely fabulous!

Chris Balmes asked yesterday in the Diary Responses if TASTY and I will continue to be together once we have our foals. The answer is YES. The normal plan is to keep ‘foaling mares’ who are due at the same time together. Once their babies are born…they are able stay together as their foals are approximately the same age. Obviously, MOTHER NATURE plays a part in all of this…but that is the plan at this time.

My FARM FAMILY is so forward thinking. I believe this is one of the reasons they wanted TASTY and I together from the beginning. Not only do WE get along fabulously and our personalities blend together extremely well…but our paths in life are very similar. We are both ‘maiden’ or first time mares having our first foals. We were bred and conceived on exactly the same day…which I personally think is TOO CUTE. Thus, our babies are due at exactly the same time. All of this establishes a wonderful pattern which should allow US to remain friends for quite some time. LUCKY US!

On another note, when I wrote the entry for yesterday’s Diary, I did not know about the passing of INDIAN CHARLIE. ALL BLESSINGS to him! What a wonderful racehorse and stallion! HE will be deeply missed.

I imagine all of this is truly a reminder that LIFE is so very precious. It is important to treasure and appreciate each moment as it is happening…and the FRIENDS you are sharing these special times with each day!

    Dearest Zenyatta-you are absolutely gorgeous and are looking like the optimum of health these days. Of cocurse, you have always looked so good and healthy. So glad that you and Tasty Temptations have so much in common and that you both get along so well. I do sincerely hope that it continues on that you are both together throughout your pregnancies, birth and afterwards. So neat that your foals are to be born at about the same time and they will be able to grow up a bit together.
    Life is so precious and we have to be so thankful for each and every moment, you never know what tomorrow brings. Take care Zenyatta and keep on shining and sparkling brighter than any star up above. I love you so very much-sending my Love & Blessings with lots of hugs and kisses to you!

    so happy to learn that Zenyatta and Tasty will continue to share space after the foals are born. Can you even imagine the sight as those 2 gorgeous mares and their foals nuzzle and bond. Oh to be there in person. . .

    Yes I agree with Barbara above….what a wonderful diary post once again. I am glad Z that you and Tasty are such BFF. I cannot wait to see you two with your foals…I am sure it will bring tears to my eyes to see such beauty and joy. I love the picture of you…you still love that camera…and that is one of the things us fans have adored about you…so outgoing…dancing…and love the picture taking. Hugs to you Z….

    I love how you and Tasty have become such great friends, Z! You have a great home at Lane’s End. On the unfortunate end of things, it is so sad that Strike the Gold and Indian Charlie have passed…

    My Beautiful Zenyatta~ Thank you for another sweet and poignant post. You never cease to amaze me. I am so pleased to hear that you and TT will remain together once your babies are born. You both have formed a special connection….and we would hate to see you seperated. I love you Zenyatta…and Tasty!
    @Eastcoastkid~ thank you for sharing the response from your state representative. I, unfortunately, can’t say the same for my state reps….I can assure you, they will not be getting my vote in 2012.

    Great response on post #398, Zenny/Dottie wants us to have fun and enjoy each other and your jokes and all the other joke tellers really make my day. i was never very good with jokes, but now I am really looking for the good ones to transcribe.
