Good Morning, All!
Thank you so much for all of the sweet responses yesterday in relation to my 2 pals…Michelle and Rapid Redux. Michelle called Dottie and commented how extremely touched she is by all of your kind wishes and thoughts. I know she wants to thank you as well…and is writing a POST for you.
As you can see, TASTY and I are doing fine. You can see her grazing in the back of this photo…and her ‘baby bump’. M. Kern and Marshall both asked about US yesterday. WE are doing great and both due in early March! As many of you may remember, both TASTY and I were bred on the exact same day last April. How exciting is this! WE have so much in common in so many ways. She is my very dear friend!
The Holiday rush is definitely upon US. There are some new photos of ME in the SHOP now…just going up today. (Blush, Blush) The ZENYATTASHOP elves are busy getting everything shipped out as soon as possible filling your orders. They want you to have your items in a timely fashion before the holiday.
Blessings to STRIKE THE GOLD! He is in all of our hearts and thoughts!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

@Michelle; What wonderful comments you shared. There will never be another great racing mare like Zenyatta. She has lifted me up more than others (other than horse Z fans) could ever understand.

Dear Zenny,
Your ornament came today – I am SO excited to have it. I don’t have a tree up yet (have to wait for a friend to bring it up from the basement – still having problems with stairs after knee surgery), but by sometime this weekend, you should be in a prime position!! It was so nice of John to sign the boxes (in gold yet!). I really enjoy the photos of you and Tasty – looks like there was a bit of frost on the ground. Take care!
Love from your Ohio friend, Sandy
@Anyone – can you enlighten me on the “Newsletter Signup” window at the bottom of the screen? Every time I try to sign up, nothing happens. A little circle just keeps going around, and around, and around. I think I tried this a long time ago and got some sort of “welcome” response, but then – no “newsletters” ever appeared.
Sally B. (Wi)
@Keta; Ohhhhhh poor Indian Charlie, so sad to hear he died. I was fortunate to see & touch him while visiting at Aire Drie Stud this past early Nov. This saddens my heart.

@Dottie
As a fellow educator, you have got to be cracking up at all of this. I commend you at your tactfulness and respectful comments toward us. Speaking on behalf of Zenyatta you are a great example of dignity and class. We all should follow your example.

Dearest Karen Gogue,
Thanks again for send another lovely christmas greeting with photos of Zenny, expecially with snowy whiskers and before and after Bernie. These smile boxes, are so much fun to receive and love the music, too. Thanks so much for keeping us posted on CA happenings. It is so good to have all of you out there.

@-Erin- the “correlation” Is obvious to most everyone…but I’ll be more than happy and proud to inform YOU….It is they BOTH give JOY!!!!!
Also , the time to have said something about them would perhaps have been a year or so ago when this site more or less adopted the jokes as part of that which gives JOY….really, I sincerely don’t understand ….what the BIG deal is…
Sally B. (Wi)
@Kari Bussell, I agree whole heartedly. Terry is spreading fun & joy. I laugh at myself all the time!

Dear Zenyatta another beautiful picture. Thank you Miss Sarah :) I am sad to hear about Indian Charlie. I never got to meet him. I wish I could have. Zenny I hope you and Tasty enjoyed time outside today. I walked the dogs tonight and it was 54 out. I wish it could be like that all winter. Well off to do homework :0 Sweet dreams Zenyatta. Hugs and Kissses. Love, Shari XXXOOO
@ Loved the video of the owl and cat. I will show the class tomorrow. Thank you JAG
@ Madame Mistletoe our class Racehorse does not like peppermints. She likes sugar cubes :)

@Erin, if you’ve been following this diary for any length of time, you will have noticed that there is sometimes a great deal of conversation that is not relevant to horse racing. Terry’s been posting those jokes for months now, and there’s always a chorus of “more, more!”. If a post doesn’t interest you, skip over it. I do. Sometimes there is material that I don’t think is especally appropriate and would rather not read, but I figure it isn’t up to me to decide what’s kosher and what’s not. People who post really offensive or hurtful stuff get slapped down quickly. Other than that, we all tolerate each other’s diverse interests and viewpoints. So, what would you like to talk about? Got any predictions for the Eclipse Awards?

Hi Zenny: This is a beautiful picture of you and Tasty. You both look so content.
It is very sad to learn that the oldest Kentucky Derby winner, Strike the Gold and also the great Indian Charlie are gone. Blessings to them both and may they RIP.
@Michelle: Congradulations on receiving your Masters. It is quite an accomplishment! Wishing you the very best in all your future endeavors.
Erin
@Kari
I initially responded to Joy’s comments as a first-timer here. Felt badly this issue prompted her to post. I simptly agreed with her and wanted her to know. Your aggressive response is why others choose not to say anything. I have been coming here from the beginning and have seen people chased away by negative or insensitive remarks even innocently.Why don’t you ask Joy how she feels? She began the dialog.
Sally B. (Wi)
My sweetest Z; I love this early morning picture of you & Tasty; I know you are never alone with such a friend as she!! I realize you have alot of friends; and any friend of yours is a friend of mine!
I feel badly at the loss of Indian Charlie at 16 years. I just saw & touched him in Nov. Time is precious. I will be counting the days & praying for the best for you & TT.
love you with 2 kisses on your soft nose, one for baby z

Queen Z,
Thank you for remembering Strike the Gold. We also lost Indian Charlie, Uncle Mo’s daddy. Your foal and Tasty’s are all the more precious in the wake of losing these wonderful racehorses.

Yes, was saddened to hear about Indian Charlie and Strike the Gold. Very sad. Hope all of you will consider Rapid Redux when you vote for the Vox Populi Award :). Yes, I am soliciting votes LOL. Really like the little guy. But it is also true that all are worthy candidates. Love this site because it is warm and fuzzy almost all of the time and because we all love The Queen. There is room for many different personalities. If someone wants to tell a joke we can either laugh at it or skip over it. I come from Jeff Foxworthy country myself and think the redenck jokes are funny. Many topics are discussed on this site that have a tenuous connection to The Queen. But that’s o.k. Lets be respectful of each others differences and embrace them. That’s truly what makes us different from other horse racing sites.
Yvonne and Maurice
Hi Zenyatta. What a wonderful picture of you and Tasty – gorgeous lighting. Zenyatta, who was Tasty bred to? Sorry if I missed it. Don’t know if you got a chance to see Margano, Barbaro’s little bro win at Gulfstream. He looks so much like his brother – what a handsome fella! Our sympathies are with all of the connections of Strike the Gold and Indian Charlie. How sad. I understand Indian Charlie was battling cancer – that is how my all time love, Lost in the Fog, died. I will never forget how my heart broke in so many pieces when I heard he had been euthanized. Again, sympathies to all connections. Gorgeous Zenyatta, stay toasty, eat well for two, have a great time grazing and spending time with Tasty. Love you, Angel.

@Joy–thank you for your lovely post about Mario and Z. Many of us enjoy the redneck jokes, so for those who don’t, just skip them and go to something else. Due to time restraints, I often have to pass up the links that I would otherwise enjoy. There is something here for everyone. Believe me, when you have a steady diet all day every day about horses who need our help, the redneck jokes are like manna from heaven!
I wish I could take back my vote. I did it hastily and should have voted for RR. Mea culpa–I repent!
@Debbie G/KY–thank you so much. The word this morning was 4 jacks left, all others placed. The main thing is that they have been removed from their suffering. Thanks to all who have cared about them.
@JAG–thanks for the BLM link–done! Also, thanks for posting the Freekibble links. I do that and the animal rescue site donating first thing in the morning before tearing out of the house, so you save me time when you post those.
Kari Bussell/sending prayers & love from Tn.
@Erin- I was in no way aggressive to anyone. I spoke of JOY & LAUGHTER. It is well documented that Zenyatta has a wonderful sense of humor. You addressed me in a comment and ask a question of me …I simply answered you. It is rude not to answer someones question…At this juncture in my life, my time is far too precious to spend one more second on this.I will not go tit for tat with you… I have as much right to speak my mind as you and Joy do..I will stand up for what I believe in (en-JOY-ing life) , laughter and for my beloved friends any day of the week….Qualities I learned from Zenyatta and Team-Z!
Wishing you nothing but JOY,
Kari
Life is far too short to allow yourself to become so stressed over silly jokes…that do give JOY & Laughter to so many here..Both joy & laughter heal the body & soul ….trust me…thanks to Zenyatta, I know!

Have any of you done any comedy writing? I have, and it is dang hard. So coming up with redneck jokes every day that are really GOOD is a very tough challenge. Zenny is a reflective and deep horse, but after a Guinness or two, I think she’d smile and whinny and enjoy the company and the laughs!
Kari Bussell/sending prayers & love from Tn.
@Trina N- Your poem detailing Kim’s heartwarming, inspirational story is one of your best.
@Abigail in Montreal- I got behind in yesterday’s comments. You need to be sitting down for this, my beloved, last and youngest grandchild to my only daughter shares his birthday Dec.18th with you. We call him Nicco. It is his nickname. I am blown away about all of the little “things” we share.
@DJ-I miss you.

@Cynthia H- Get well!! You are loved! 12th-heart-eternity.
Good night precious Zenny & Tasty I hope you have wonderful horsey dreams.

MLV–about your point concerning horses and cancer, I’ve been wondering the very same thing about dogs. It almost seems to be an epidemic.
Good night, precious Z. and Tasty. I’m so glad your paths have crossed in a way we can all celebrate.
@Barbara Grimaldi–welcome, Juliet, to Z’s diary!

Truly sad about Strike the Gold and Indian Charlie. They have added to the sport with their time here on this earth. RIP you have both earned it. Best to you Z and Tasty as always.

Dear Z and Z Fans:
Z, beautiful silhouettes of you and TT. As I’m not up to date on news, didn’t know about Strike The Gold or Indian Charlie. May they rest in peace. Congrats to Rapid Redux. Love you and love to all of you, Judy and Russ
