Good Morning, All!
Thank you so much for all of the sweet responses yesterday in relation to my 2 pals…Michelle and Rapid Redux. Michelle called Dottie and commented how extremely touched she is by all of your kind wishes and thoughts. I know she wants to thank you as well…and is writing a POST for you.
As you can see, TASTY and I are doing fine. You can see her grazing in the back of this photo…and her ‘baby bump’. M. Kern and Marshall both asked about US yesterday. WE are doing great and both due in early March! As many of you may remember, both TASTY and I were bred on the exact same day last April. How exciting is this! WE have so much in common in so many ways. She is my very dear friend!
The Holiday rush is definitely upon US. There are some new photos of ME in the SHOP now…just going up today. (Blush, Blush) The ZENYATTASHOP elves are busy getting everything shipped out as soon as possible filling your orders. They want you to have your items in a timely fashion before the holiday.
Blessings to STRIKE THE GOLD! He is in all of our hearts and thoughts!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Zen! I cannot believe we are almost at the 400th post…WOW! Dottie may need an assistant once your foal is here, to help keep up with the updates, for there will be so much exciting news! Thinking of you today made me feel so good inside.
XOXO
Pam
Dear Z, I always love to see photos of you, especially when they include Tasty. I can’t wait to see you girls out in your paddock with your babies. Michele, congrats on your fantastic accomplishments. That’s something to be very proud of. And I love the photo of you riding our Queen Z. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Strike the Gold and Indian Charlie. What a sad loss.

I missed G TEN’s race this afternoon, but I see in the results he came in 4th! GIACOMO’s son :D (Moss/Shirreffs/Mike combo)

So sad to hear about Indian Charlie losing his battle with cancer. I lost my horse to cancer in 2005. At that time my vet told me it was not a common thing for a horse to get cancer. But lately I hear about it more and more.

Thank you for having the grace and courage to speak out against the ongoing redneck jokes. Your comments were well thought out and respectful. Some of us can come across as being a bit eliteist sometimes forgetting there is a cross-section of the population that visits here. Choosing a single “group” to joke about could be hurtful though not intended. JefFFoxworthy’sstanduprou

Correction from last post..Jeff Foxworthy’s standup routine was funny because he was making fun of himself. That is much different.

What an absolutely beautiful photo of you and Tasty! I just checked out the new photos in your shop…had to get the Momma Z by Jaime Corum. I was lucky enough to be at your Breeders Cup celebration and had The Queen’s Dance poster signed by Jaime and all of Team Z!! I just got it back today from the frame shop..it has a place of honor over my fireplace. You are truly The Queen!! I did a little research on Tasty, she had quite a career in Canada!! I’m sure you two can swap some good racing stories. Hugs sweet Zenny, sending love your way. Hugs to Tasty too and all of Team Z.

Dear Great One,
I love the photo of you and TT. You both look lovely in relief against the Kentucky sunrise. I hope you are both having a wonderful day. It is a day to reflect on one’s mortality with the passing of two such greats as Strike the Gold and Indian Charlie. So many other great ones are gone now too. But YOU and TT aren the keys to the future with what lies beneath those beautiful baby bumps we are so fond of noting. The best to you both!

Just love the pic of you Zenyatta and Tasty in the hearly morning. You both are so lucky to be such good friends and have so much in common. It is great to have someone to share things with for sure and you both have each other.
Glad that the elves are keeping up in your shop and seeing that things are going out quickly for the holidays, there are going to be some very happy people I am sure this holiday when they find themselves proud owners of Zenyatta goodies.
And in a moment of sadness, have to send out extra love and blessings to all those who have lost their special horses, Strike The Gold and Indian Charlie. It is such a heartbreaking event to lose someone that you love. May they both rest in peace and find themselves enjoying the luscious green pastures in Heaven. Sending my sympathy and condolences to their connections.
Sending my Love and bunches of hugs and kisses to you Zenyatta and keep on sparkling and shining brighter than any star up above. I love you lots!

First Strike the Gold and now Indian Charlie. What a sad couple of days. May they both rest in peace.
@Barbara Wood – I’m so glad to hear the good news about the animals at Panhandle. I just made a donation.

Thank you for remembering Stike the Gold. He was by Alydar and carried his looks in the Derby. I loved Alydar. Another gone before his time.

I love that you’re the one at the fence, as always, ready for a chat or a pose or a carrot. This pic is lovely in its composition with you looking back toward a grazing Tasty. Wonderful!
SO sad about Charlie. Love him and his progeny.
And love you always, Z.

To those attacking Terry Crow and others over the “RED NECK” jokes:….I am from Dayton Tn. also known as “Monkey Town”….home of the Scopes trial..it is as backwoods/boondocks as it gets….I have laughed until I cried at ALL of everyone’s jokes…WE ARE laughing at OURSELVES.. I am also one of many who has very much encouraged the jokes to continue…If you will note, Terry always addresses them to individuals not the group as a whole ….You can choose not to read them….With ALL sincere due respect I find your attacks on Terry & others just laughing with JOY and having FUN offensive.
If we can’t laugh at ourselves…then what do we have left….
@Terry Crow & others of the Red Neck Club- you have given me nothing but JOY!
Rosemary McCauley - Southern California
@Barbara Wood, Texas – glad you liked the redneck humor.
Beautiful photo on today’s post. But with subjects like this, it wouldn’t be anything but. Thank you Dottie, for giving Zenyatta her voice. When the foal comes, will he or she post once in a while about how he or she views the world as time goes by? Just a thought …
Erin
@Kari
If Zenyatta could speak ya think she might be thinkin’ what the heck is ya’ll redneck jokes doin’ on my website about Me and the horse racing industry? In other words , what is the ” correlation” ?
Debbie G/Kentucky
@Terry Crow and Rosemary McCauley – I love your redneck jokes!
