Happy Thursday,
It is so pretty outside this morning. It is cool, brisk…yet totally comfortable and gorgeous! This is my second December in Lexington…so I gather this is their normal weather pattern for this time of the year. I rather like it!
Please note how my paddock fence is so white from the frost!
If I say so myself, I look PRETTY AS A PICTURE! (Blush, Blush!)
Sarah just stopped by to see ME a few moments ago…and I was giving her tons of kisses. She was on holiday for a few days recently…so I wanted to be sure to personally ‘welcome her back’!
People are quite busy now getting ready for the holidays. In the main office here at Lane’s End…the staff is decorating and putting up the Christmas Tree. Hmmm! I wonder if they will have MY ORNAMENT on it? Hope so! I’ll have to check this out!
Wishing you a lovely day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

This is my first post – I enjoy reading all the comments everyday. This is how I spend my lunch hour. I can’t wait for the Baby Z to be born. It is such a fascinating time – they are so much fun to watch. I have been a Thoroughbred Owner for 30+ years and have raised 5 foals. It is amazing how fast they grow. Thank you Team Zenyatta for sharing all these special memories with your loving fans.

@Joanna from Texas–Glad you enjoyed the joke. @Barbara Wood–I’ll do my best. I went off the road for awhile, but I’m back. @Sue Fredrick-Oregon is a good team but the Badgers will have a lot of time to practice to get used to the pace of the game. I have a friend who went to school in Milwaukee with Liberace. If Diana S and I ever teamed up, we would probably argue about who should get top billing. It is show business tradition that the straight man’s name is listed first. Abbott and Costello. Martin and Lewis, etc. Who do you think should be listed first? @Debbie G, Marshall and Kim S-Thank you. @Kim S-Actually, I’m back. No more wanderings for me. I did get to see a lot of historical places, though. @Trina Nagele-Right. Helen has not yet accepted the presidency of the Michigan chapter, so you are still in the California group. @AngelafromAbilene-I could never make up a redneck joke that is better than your actual wedding. No, we have not met, but I would consider it a honor if we did. Is your Abilene in Kansas or Texas? Keep January 27 open. @Kari Bussell-It is an honor to be considered your friend. Have you seen The Shootist yet? I think that the young woman who rides in the street car with John Wayne at the end is exactly like you. @Rosemany McCauley and Diana S, charter ,embers of the Arizona/New Mexico chapter–You might be a redneck if your wedding tuxedo/dress was John Deere green. @Judy Berube, president of the New England chapter-You might be a redneck if you negotiated the pre-nup agreement between your nephew and his hound dog. @Susan in TN and Kari Bussell-You might be a redneck if you buy neapolitan ice cream for the vanilla. You might be a redneck if you’ve ever driven 30 miles out of the way for a one-cent discount on unleaded gas. You might be a redneck if one of your funeral requests is to have dueling banjos played on the bagpipes.

@Tiffany Vaughn–thank you so much for the update on Krystal. I am so glad the crisis is over, but we’ll keep praying that her long road becomes a shorter one as far as recuperation goes.
I must have missed to post about Uncle Mo. Will try to find it.
I think it should be Stuart & Crow, not because Diana’s jokes aren’t funny (they’re hilarious!) but because of the sheer number of TC’s. They make my day.
RIP dear Kingston Rule and Shahrastani.

We need some baby bump pictures!!!
PLEASE!!!!

@ TIFFANY: So glad to hear that your sister is doing better!
@Judy Berube: So glad to see that you’re back with us. Sending love & hugs! PS : I did try to emulate your postings here for all of us but was just not able to morph into OUR JUDY!!!!
@ Delrene: Thanks for birthday wishes to December babies — that’s me too!
@ Kari: This is most BEFITTING our SACRED connection. If you would like to see a photo of our “new baby” please head off to THE VAULT + click on ABOUT on the main page. The Doodlebug is posted!!!! (Daisy is between 18-24 months and an SPCA rescue. As I posted earlier, Jericho in Hebrew means “fragrance of flowers” and as I wrote in my story about my Spirit Dog it was Daisy Bearskin Hirodier who christened Jericho as my Spirit Dog…so the fact Daisy appeared on my Facebook page spoke volumes! My son & I think of her as still another gift from Jericho, although Doddlebug is a gift regardless…..)
Miss Zenyatta & Baby ZeeBee: Kisses — and then MORE kisses!!!
@ ALL: WELCOME to our new family members — LOVE to all — and loving the GREAT posts and all of the links!!!!

Hello, gorgeous.
I hope someone’s watching so she doesn’t slip in the snow! She’s carrying precious cargo. She’s beyond precious all her own.
Thank you Dottie!!

@Kari Bussell – That UK/UT baby picture I sent you is pretty hilarious. I’ve had three different people send it to me! It’s really making the rounds. And I don’t think it’s possible for you all to play Rocky Top anymore than you already do! LOL Did you know that Pat Summit is on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week? She was voted sportswoman of the year. How cool is that? Speaking of which, our UK women actually have a good team this year. They’re ranked #10, and they’ve beaten two Top 10 teams in the last week. Sounds like we might actually give you all some competition this year for a change!

That is a really nice photo.

What a beautiful picture of you Zenny. Have you bought “your John” a Christmas gift yet???

Zenyatta, you’re absolutely right that they are busy decorating Lane’s End Farm for Christmas. I hope they do put up the ornament of you on the Christmas tree. I will get an ornament of you of my own as soon as I find out how to get one. I’m glad that you’re adjusting so well to Lexington, Kentucky weather.
