Good Morning,
Often while I’m out in the paddock relaxing with TASTY, I have a great deal of time to THINK! It suddenly occurred to ME yesterday that ONE YEAR has passed since I was at BARN 55—-stretching my legs and doing my ‘last lap under tack’ with Steve around the training track.
One year…..WOW! It seems like just yesterday!
It is truly amazing how quickly time flies by. I imagine that is why people always say it is so important to enjoy and appreciate each day. I am really trying to subscribe to this philosophy. Each day is so special….and TASTY and I treat them as such.
A mare is ‘in foal’ for approximately 11 calendar months. Look how quickly this time is progressing for ME. I am due at the beginning of March…so just a few more precious months to go! I am eating properly, getting the appropriate amount of exercise each day….and truly enjoying each moment. LANE’S END does monitor my weight carefully….and I am gaining the perfect amount of weight each month now for a MOM-TO-BE.
MY FOAL does like to ‘move about’ quite a bit. As I understand it, you can actually see my tummy ‘wiggle’ when the baby does so. This is TOO CUTE!
Wishing you a wonderful day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Wonderful news! Thank you for brightening our day here in Arcadia. We’re still without power, and it’s cold, but Zenyatta news is always warming. Stay healthy, big girl! And prayers for Dottie and John. Hope we have power soon! Laurence

That’s me in the green Oak Tree sweatshirt right “in front” of your head! That was a great, but sad, day. We miss Zenyatta in CA. Hope you come back someday like Giacomo did.

Just a year ago I was stressing thinking of the withdrawals I would go through with Zenyatta far away in KY. God bless you Dottie and the rest of the Team for keeping us all connected. You recognized our need and met it. Thank you a million times over!
Bridget
Hi Dottie, how about this boy for Zenyatta? He’s got a lot of things going for him!

Zenny-One year ago today (12/6) I was among the 1000 or so brave souls at Keeneland waiting in 18 degree weather to greet our Queen Z. I can’t believe it’s been a year. That night was the most exciting thing I have ever done in my life, and I still look back upon that night with a smile on my heart. The only thing that would make my heart smile more would be a few personal moments with you at some point. I want to kiss and hug you like I did Rachel Alexandra this past March. Like I did Havre de Grace last month. I so hope to have that opportunity some time. Everything about that night was magical and I can bet not one person felt the cold; we were feeling too much love for you, Zenny. I hope you have a wonderful day. I bet your pasture is muddy after all the rain we’ve had. Have yourself a good roll and get a mud bath!!
Love you, Big Mare

I wish someone would stop this fraud on ebay. He is attempting to sell a TVG giveaway reproduction Zenyatta saddle cloth, using what appear to be unauthorized photos, and language that hints that this may be the real thing: “Only the owner of the horse can authorize the production of a saddle cloth that bares the Breeders Cup Logo. This item came Fed-Ex from TVG bearing signatures. Thje other signatures were obtained at Santa Anita Race Track during the Zenyatta, Secretariat Lithograph signing day. The Moss family was more than happy to sign this. I cannot stipulate if this item was race worn. That is like saying here are 4 new quarters, now which one was minted first?”
He KNOWS this is a duplicate souvenir saddle cloth obtained through TVG. This sort of thing in my opinion tarnishes the image of Zenyatta. What if some unsuspecting new fan bought this and later found out what it really is. Please stop this. http://tinyurl.com/Z-Scammer

Dear Great One,
Why am I not surprised that all is going PERFECTLY with your pregnancy? You are PERFECT! I would love to put my hand on your tummy and feel your baby move. Wow! What a treasure for us that you are sharing these wonderful experiences with us. I hope you and TT are having a wonderful time, savoring each day. Please give my best to YOUR JOHN and DOTTIE and my wishes for a speedy return to normalcy in their windswept lives!
Your humble J

I have returned from occupy Fort Worth and occupy Santa Fe to right back where I started from. Yes, I’m back in California at the same old stand, just in time for all the problems. My timing, as usual, is perfect. Thanks to all who expressed concern for my well-being.I have decided that this is where I belong. The fact that no one would take me in has nothing to do with it. @Kari Bussell-Great to see you posting. I am back at the same location so you know where to find me. Sorry about the Vols. Losing to Kentucky? Think that Oklahoma State belongs in the championship game rather than Alabama, though. Joke of the day–Alabama’s new state quarter is two dimes and a nickel taped together. @Diana S and Rosemary McCauley, charter members of Arizona/New Mexico chapter– you might be a redneck if you think asphalt is a butt disease. @Judy Berube, president of New England chapter–you might be a redneck if you were a pallbearer for Colonel Sanders. @Susan in Tn and Kari Bussell–you might be a redneck if you’ve ever eaten a scoop of ice cream after dropping it in the cat litter. You might be a redneck if you’ve ever given road kill as a wedding present. You might be a redneck if your bologna has a first name, its B-L-O-W-F-L-Y. Great to be back with my Z friends.

I think I would pay $ to see a video of your belly wiggling(sp?) as baby rolls around. Glad to hear you are doing well Zenny. Hope to see some recent pics or videos soon!!
Lorie
I’m very curious if the Mosses have decided who your next “date” will be with once your foal arrives.

Zenny, Zenny, Zenny ~ Yes, how time flys! My memories of visiting you at Barn 55 are forever in my heart! I was smart enough to take home videos during some of those visits ~ I sound so silly in the background, but I wouldn’t change a thing! :-D

I was just thinking last night how your adoring fans descended upon Barn 55 to get a last glimpse of YOU, Our Queen… before leaving for Kentucky and Motherhood… I miss you, Zenyatta. Thankfully, I have pictures and lithos and posters, etc. sharing space with John Henry :-P

Blessings and {{hugs}} to YOU and Baby B/Z XOXOXO

I remember when my mare was in foal and you could she the baby and feel her moving all over. It is so exciting to feel that. Then the day came and there she was all legs and HUGE ears! I could see those ears from the back door of my house! I cant wait to see your baby I know that it will be beautiful and kind just like her mom and dad.
Shannon from Cool
Your foal is probably already dreaming of being a great champion just like YOU.

Love the progress you are making.

I cannot imagine you being retired and just gone like so many of your friends. Thanks to all of you. It won’t be long now till that ever so special foal will be here!!! I can’t wait! What a great day that is going to be : )
