Dear Friends,
I sincerely hope each of you had a very peaceful and loving holiday. The time we spent at the farm visiting with everyone was wonderful. I am overwhelmed by all of your support, love, and warm wishes to myself and MY TEAM.
I will forever be grateful to each of you!
In life, things may often travel an unexpected path. Sometimes, the surprises are wonderful and joyful. Other times, no matter how hard you work and no matter how hard you try, the result is totally out of your control and not as positive as you would hope.
I’d personally like to thank each of you for the concern and love you have expressed for CLOUD MAN. He definitely ‘knows’ how you all feel and the many candles and prayers you honored him with yesterday.
Needless to say, it is a very sad time for MY TEAM. They loved him very, very much…and he will be greatly missed.
Your kindness and thoughtfulness, as always, is deeply appreciated and means so much to all of us!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~(Special blessings…dear Cloud Man)

And this is why I’m so glad you retired, Zenny. And thankfully sound. RIP to Cloud Man, Irrefutable, General Maximus, Galex, Back Street Heat, B Z Warrior and Waltzing with Blues. Unfortunatley, I can’t find the name of the apprentice jockey, but heartfelt condolences to his/her family. Wonderful expressions from several Z’sters and what a great way to show our caring, donating to Marlene @ Valley View Ranch. I will be doing the same.
Condolences to everyone that lost their soul pets and rescues.
Lotsa love to all.

Look at above post or google Horse racing Nation.
A great article on how TB are placed on this earth to
Run and when one has a misstep it can result in tragedy.
Cloudman loved to run and he is now able to run free
With all the greats.

I just now heard the news about Cloud Man. I am so, so sorry. To the Mosses and everyone at Barn 55, please accept my sincere condolences.
@Sarah and Harold – I’m so sorry for your loss. You’re in my prayers.

Mike Smith saved him as best he could not knowing
The extent of the damage by just feeling it. And yes,
No horrific breakdown. A very classy ride. So sad a misstep
And a life. So glad he was euthanized quickily after
John’s evaluation, so no suffering. Now running with the
Champions who met him at the gates of heaven.

Dear Zenyatta. The post you and Dottie have written is beautiful. I grieve along with so many others here for the loss of your beloved Cloud Man. Those who touch our heart will be remembered with tears, for their death deserves our sorrow. But they will also be remembered with smiles, for their life deserves our joy. I hold all of Team Z and Barn 55 in my heart, thoughts and prayers. My sympathy goes out to all that may have suffered the loss or injury of one of their beautiful thoroughbreds or furry friends recently. Life is fragile, but love is never ending. Sweet dreams my wonderous Zenyatta. Hugs and kisses always. XXXOOO

Cloud Man love you, and know i’ll see you again one day. I hope you like Cats because I am going to tell my beloved Cat Holly to find you. She’s good at finding things. She found me. I know she’ll find me again. Be looking for a dark Calico Cat that is the sweetest thing you will ever meet. May God bless and keep you safe for all of eternity.
My Love and Condelences go out to all your connections, John, Dotty, Ann, Jerry, Mike. Love You All
Love You Zenny and may God help us all

So sorry for the loss of Cloud Man. He was a beautiful 3 year old and I believe he could have done well as a 4 year old. However, he is no longer in pain, and is galloping around up there with the likes of Secretariat, Mr.Prospector and the great fillies Ruffian and Go For Wand. He’ll never forget how good the Mosses were to him, and even though the loss of any great horse is sad, I can take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in any kind of pain.
Love you, Queen Z, take care of yourself. <3

Guess this will teach me to check in while still at work. The tears won’t stop, although I tried to prepare myself to news. I am so sorry for The wonderful Mosses, John, Dottie and everyone who had the pleasure to work with and around Cloud Man.
@Delrene… I was also at Hollywood Park for Z’s tribute day. It was very special and I loved looking at the picture I took that day.
I do agree that they might consider taking a good look at the track..something does not seem right. But I believe the Jockeys would be demanding a look if they felt that there was something really off.

I’m so, so sorry for the loss of Cloud Man. I watched the race on TVG and he looked so good in the post parade. I tragically lost my beloved bull terrier George on Thanksgiving weekend six years ago. It look a long time to recover from his death. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Cloud Man’s family. I’m certain he’s running in heaven now.

@Terry Crow – glad to see that you are back posting.
@Shari Voltz – Thank you for your kind words. I enjoyed our conversations also.
@Dawn Conrad – You’re welcome – it was indeed my pleasure.
Again, my sympathy to the Mosses for the loss of Cloud Man.
Delrene from Carlsbad - (California)
Dear Dottie – As I came back to the sight to look at the picture of the sweet little cat, your selection depicts the sorrow and sadness of today’s news. Zenny’s tree stands alone, like a sentinel lonely without a Barn 55 racing horse grazing contentedly on the patch of grass where so much joy and happiness has been witness by so many. For this day, it was a perfect shot. It speaks volumes of the somber day. Be safe and secure and take each day with renewed strength and know that we know you had him in your John’s loving arms and you were there to help him over to the other side at Rainbow Bridge. I WILL see Barn 55 someday and I will see it with a different perspective. I’m so glad I saw Cloudman at Del Mar.

Heaven is a real place.
Cloud Man has his wings and is free. Cloud Man is free and full of joy and peace. His family left behind and all of us that love them hold the pain. Time does not heal it just brings tolerance to our pain.
Z and Family we are all praying for your grief and pain. Remember he is in Heaven and happy.

This had been a difficult weekend for so many: @Harold Moore @Sarah Powell- My sympathies to you both for the losses of your long time canine buddies. @ Diana Stuart- my sympathies to you for the losses of your feline rescues. I believe there is a Rainbow Bridge and have many furry good friends waiting for me and your great companions will be waiting for all of you as well.

@Jeanie I went into the link for Valley View Ranch and wanted to make the donation in Cloud Man’s name but must have gone too fast and didn’t see a prompt. I make the donation but not in his name but in my heart it was from him. Please keep us posted to see if Marlene is successful.

Devastating news. I missed all the races this weekend. Everyone before me has been so eloquent so I will just add my very deep sympathy at Cloud Man’s death to the Mosses, John, Dottie, Barn 55 and Mike. Cloud Man is getting acquainted with Barbaro as I write this.

Hi Zenny,
…. This part of Life is Sad, when a wrong footing happens. I’m so sorry this happened to you. I Love you Cloud Man.
My Sierra, will welcome you with a warm heart. Sierra was my mare who had a wrong footing in her own corral, and left my world at the hand of a caring Vet (1984). She was my best ever equine friend, and is in my inner heart every day. I have sent her to comfort you, Cloud Man. Zenny when you ran the Classic in ’09, I summoned her to run with you to win! …. Love you Zenny.

I’m so sorry for Team Z’s loss. Cloud Man was a wonderful horse. Rest in peace.

Back again after hearing that 7 horses died at HP this past weekend. Honestly, is there something wrong with that track or what? I simply don’t understand it.

@Sarah Powell—Condolences on the loss of your dog—he had a very long life, but it is never long enough, is it. Hugz to you.
@Sue Fredrick—Condolences on the loss of Opie, your rescued cocker spaniel. HugZ.
@Diana S—So sad to lose three kitties. HugZ.
@Jeanie—Thanks for the donation alert at http://www.valleyviewranchequinerescue.webs.com/. It helps ease the grief over Cloud Man to be able to do something to help his kin who are still with us. I just made mine in Cloud Man’s honor.
