More lovely photos and beautiful sentiments. I think there is a really HUGE mutual admiration society going on here in Zenyatta Land. I’m so happy I found this place. Thanks to Everyone. Wishing for good racing luck this weekend and most importantly, safe trips for all.

@Karen Gogue. Thanks for the link for Blind Luck’s new home. I finally got a few minutes to go back and look for it. It just makes me feel so good to know that this deserving girl got a good home where she will be loved and taken care of. If only all owners/trainers would care that much for their horses!

Zenyatta and fans, I thought I’d share this with you. The day before Thanksgiving, I got to ride Lights on Broadway, who was a champion saved from slaughter. Here’s the link to the piece I wrote about him: http://pastthegrandstand.blogspot.com/2011/11/inspired-by-lights.html
Zenyatta, I hope you and the rest of your fans had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

@Past the Grandstand–thank you for that wonderful report. I pray for the day that this will not have to happen anymore. Lovely boy.
@Eveline–thanks for posting Past the Grandstand on the Equi-Army-ndo.com site. I was going to, but you beat me to it.

What you say Zenny! WOW, yippee yahooo! Three winners today for Barn 55, girl! They deserve extra carrots and some sweet peppermints, along with kisses all over their soft muzzles – mmmm, Guinness might be the order of choice to drink a ‘high hoof’ toast. Oh, and a nice get together at The Derby restaurant to top off such a winners day! EASTside, WESTside, all around the town…for me, it just goes to show what we’ve known all along here in the West – your John is Z best!! :)

Hope you and Tasty had a nice Thanksgiving!! I just received my copy of “The Queen’s Dance” print in the mail today…….it is absolutely stunning!! But then again, one must consider the source…..YOU!!! Such a beautiful girl, and getting prettier by the day with your precious “baby bump”!!! Hope you and ZeeBee are doing well!!! Love ya!
Erin
Congrats to John and The Mosses on their wins today. So nice to see their success post Zenyatta this year especially for John. Recent interviews showed him being a little down recovering from the retirement of his favorite girl. His great big smile at the crowed today was so familiar. A lot of great races this weekend. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH EBLOUISSANTE? Those on her website are asking why she has not breezed in over a month.
Sally B. (Wi)
My heart is singing after your post Zenyatta!! It is the sweetest message acknowledging your special people and Tasty. Sophie is just so cute. I just wish I could spend one hour with you. I am so thankful for YOU and your post, for many blessings in my life and for family & dear friends that I cherish. Health is everything. I am still dealing with stomach issues. I wish everyone you know Z and those on this post good health and I hope all had a Happy Thanksgiving. I am having the bigger feast Saturday.
Warm thoughts, love n 2 kisses on your soft nose, one for baby z. I’m pooped, Goodnight lovely Z.
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
I’m still trying to learn the lingo here. Could someone please tell me what “has not breezed” means (as in the comment about Eblouissante by Erin above)? Thanks!

OMG! What a surpriZe in the mail today Zenny! I could not get the box opened fast enough girl! Gosh, I opened the box and I was just floored…I am looking at it right now, it is beautiful, and I am in awe. The Moss-Zenny racing colors sparkle and shine so brightly through the glass….Adorable Trina this means more to me than you’ll ever know… I will cherish it more because it came from you -it hit my heart hard…the tears flowed, there is a special meaning for me behind it too, (you MUST know) I could not have received a greater gift – you are MY ANGEL….and I love you….
Delrene from Carlsbad - (California)
Dear Zenny and all your fans. What a great day at the races for your family.
I just am catching up and I see Utopian came in 1st and now I’m reading there are others. Congratulations to all.
@karen & Trina, I’m so intrigued as to what might be behind the sparkling glass? In Z’s colors? Whatever it is, it sure sunds like it was a hit with Karen. It’s fun to give a gift and have people genuinely love it!!!!
You are our gift. We all love you.
Must read up and watch the races on video.

@Karen Gogue—What sweet words you wrote! Thank you! (I thought of YOU right away when I saw that little Christmas ornament.)
@ Kari Bussell/Good Ole Rocky Top(Whoo!)- Rocky Top Tennessee-Rocky Top Tennessee-ee-ee!!—I give thanks every day that you are with us. I just lit a gratefulness candle to thank you for your special comment on Thanksgiving Day.

@Erin…I have asked on her FB page and on Backside 55 for an update on E. Thinking something must have stalled her training. I believe Zenny had lots of little set backs at the same age as she grew into herself. Just would appreciate hearing she is ok.

@Sandy (Northeast Ohio) The Kennedys from San Diego introduced me to a helpful site for racing vocabulary. Here is the entry for “BREEZING”.
“Running without urging, usually under a light hold.”
http://turfpedia.com/glossary/ I’m sure someone else can elaborate a little more, but I think it means the workout was a little faster (but not a lot faster) than is asked of the horse in its easiest workouts.
LauraJ in Cincinnati, OH
@Sandi in Northeast OH, it means that she has not had an official timed workout recently. People are concerned because she had been having them every couple of weeks or so. It could mean that she has been injured or ill, or it could mean nothing at all.
stephanie (s in san diego)
Congratulations to your DEAR JOHN and Beloved owners…sounds like it was a fun and productive day!! Can’t wait to watch replays.
