Good Morning to All!
I want to be sure and send a proper greeting to our dear SARAH on her recent birthday! Here she is holding Reagan, one of my special visitors, so I could meet her. Daily, Sarah does so many fabulous things for ME and for others that I did want to personally send her MY WARMISH WISHES for a truly wonderful year.
I heard that she celebrated with family on one night…and then friends (many of my Lane’s End pals) the next. CHEERS to you, SARAH!
I’d also like to send a HIGH HOOF to RAPID REDUX on his victory last evening at Mountaineer Park. 20 in a row is something very special! He and his connections must be so excited. I’m not sure what his future plans are…but I’m wishing him ALL THE BEST! I think his sire, Pleasantly Perfect, is rather honored by all of this as well. This is truly a significant achievement and such a proud moment for not only Rapid Redux but everyone who works with him each day! CONGRATULATIONS!
All else is going very well. I’m in the midst of relaxing a bit and TASTY and I are enjoying the seasons. The farm is so pretty and the grass is still rather lush. We are having a great time. I am eating properly and getting all the right rest and exercise. My days are just PERFECT!
I am truly one very fortunate horse!
Enjoy your day…and the pre-holiday ‘calm’…before everything gets so busy!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~ (Especially a big belated birthday hug to our SARAH!)

Regarding the carousel: The music is great because they used the songs recorded by the A&M artists ~ it took me back to my “youth” for sure (wink wink)

Hi Zenny:
Wow, just to think it all began 4 years ago today. Thanks for all the memories! Not only the memories of your fabulous racing career, but also for your very entertaining dance moves. You really were and still are poetry in motion. We are all so very fortunate to have the opportunity of staying in touch with you though Dottie, YOUR John and Sarah too.
Happy Birthday Sarah! Thank you for your beautiful photos and videos of Zenny. We really appreciate you taking your time to share those moments with us.

Another wonderful picture of the Queen Zen. I adore these pictures. Saw Rapid Redux’s race last night. He did it so easily. I know his trainer said that once he gets in front, he won’t let anyone else pass. His trainer said he’s going to give him some much-needed time off. He must be a very strong horse like you Zenny. I know your family misses you terribly after having you nearby for 5 years. I see they brought Jacquemo(sp?) back to California. I know the Mosses ar ehappy about that. No, if they could onl figure a way to do that with you. Love ya girl.

Happy Birthday Sarah! You are so lucky to be able to be around Zenyatta, as she is lucky to have you. Have an awesome day!
@Kari Bussell – I like yesterday’s post. I haven’t had to hire any security yet, but I am a little paranoid. Good thing I carry pepper spray with me at work!

Thank you for the link about Autumn! She’s adorable and looks like she’s receiving all sorts of love and attention and care! You go, lil girl!
Wooohoooo for Rapid Redux! What an accomplishment that is! I sure hope he receives some sort of eclipse award for all that he’s already done this year! Un heard of anymore!
Love you, Big Girl!! Hugs and kisses..

Happy Birthday, Sarah! And, Happy Anniversary to Queen Z! Sometimes I think it has to have been more than 4 years ago when you stepped onto the track for the first time, as it seems eons ago when we said goodbye to you as you started on your new journey and new life. You are still greatly missed….no way the void you left will ever be filled.
–
@Kari B – so glad you are back on Facebook and here….have missed you a lot lately!
–
@Terry Crow, so very sorry for your loss, but love your sense of humor. Being from the deep South (the Mississippi Delta is about as deep as you can get!), I truly appreciate your redneck humor!
–
Z, loved your message congratulating Rapid Redux. What a generous and wonderful thing to do….I hope you don’t mind, but, I did post your congrats note on his fan page. I have nicknamed him the “Equestrian Rocky”!
–
@All: Just a thought: I have calculated based on the number of fans that Z gets on her Facebook page, that it will take about 4-5 months, at the current rate, to get to 100,000 fans — she’s currently at almost 94,000 (93,825)! Her estimated foaling date is the last week of Feb./first week of March, which is approximately 95 to 106 days from now! Don’t think it needs to be a huge or frantic effort, but, I am hoping to nudge it along so she can reach 100,000 about the time that baby comes into the world! If you happen to think about it, a “share” of Zenyatta’s FB page with someone would probably give it the impetus to reach the goal of 100,000 in 100 days (just 6,000+ needed) instead of 120-140 days! She may get there without any help, as I’ve seen a small spike in the past few weeks.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Stay safe, and eat lots of turkey!

Big hugs, Z — I love you bunches! Ann Maree

Happy Birthday Sarah and many more to come! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our Queen.

Zenyatta, I have to admit, I am kind of happy to learn that you and I share at least one thing in common—occasionally forgetting a friend’s birthday! Sarah is so sweet and kind, that I am sure she will forgive you. She understands that you are dealing with a very full plate. In fact, I oftentimes wonder if you might not need the services of a social secretary! There are many who would be more than willing to volunteer!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sarah! Thank you so much for so generously sharing your lovely photographs of Zenyatta over the past year, helping to keep us all connected to our Queen.. Your little girl is so lucky. She will grow-up, always having known the magic of Zenyatta in her life. Imagine…..

@Dawn Conrad @Laura J @Susan in TN @ Kari Bussell: The Charter Members of the Zenyatta Austen Society! All are welcome who share a love of Jane Austen and fine writing, and harbor a secret passion for that smoldering piece of manflesh, Mr. Darcy (please excuse me). Dawn, you did us proud with your brilliantly imaginative synopsis of our great Heroine’s life story (to be continued). Laura J, I love the name “Regency Romance!” It would make a fabulous name for a racehorse!

Zenyatta, do you know that you are gifted with many of those stellar qualities which were considered imperative to the ideal Regency woman? You are: an exquisitely elegant and graceful dancer; possess a pleasantly round figure (especially now) and trim ankles; have magnificently expressive eyes, which are truly the “window to your soul;” are endowed with a highly sociable and beneficent nature; display impeccable manners on all occasions and in every situation; are the instigator and inspiration for many charitable works, bringing untold blessings into the lives of strangers; are flawlessly bred, descending from a noble, distinguished and artistocratic family. You even have your own Mr. Darcy in the form of Mr. Bernardini (we agree, Zenyatta; he is quite the gallant!).

@Terry Crow: Loved the whole bit – until the vaccuum bag. Ugh!
@All Dumplings who are name-tagless but have asked: Making the next batch over T’giving, so you’ll have them for your Christmas-Hanukka Bush stockings.

@SoCal Dumplings: The connections of diastu in tempe have scratched her (vet) from the Inaugural Turkey Week Carousel Oaks and wish all competitors a safe and fair race. They have nominated her for the Inaugural Carousel Matriarch Stakes during Christmas week (date TBD) and say to her competitors “Bring It On!”. Additionally, they have nomiinated diastu’s son and grandson for the Inaugural Manly Man Carousel Stakes (for colts and horses, hopefully no geldings – – – hopefully no vet check needed either!) during the same time frame. I believe this race is being sponsored by Guinness! Stay tuned.

Just a thought, but I’m sure you’ve noticed the many comments on this site from those who have said “I’m not on Facebook – how do I (whatever)?” I am one of those people. At my age, FB hasn’t seemed like a necessity, but I mostly worry about the fact that, on a regular basis, you hear about something bad happening. Our local news is featuring something later tonight about how FB and twitter can “attack” those who post. So, the point here is this: Why not offer some FB “helpful hints” for those of us who would LOVE to add to Zenny’s fans but just really don’t know where to start as far as joining FB is concerned? What are the important things to “do” or “not do”? How do you manage the privacy settings to keep out of trouble? That sort of thing. I’d be glad to hear from you or anybody else who could offer a little tutoring.

Wishing Sarah a super great Birthday and hope she has many more, each getting better and better.
It was so exciting that Rapid Redux won his race on Mon eve and that he now has hit #20, how fantastic! Congratulations to him and all his connections. He has always done well and always gives his best along with having a super heart. He has made a name for himself and a place in racehorsing history for sure.
Glad that you Zenyatta and Tasty are enjoying yourselves outside each and every day, as it won’t be long and it will be cold and wintery.
Bet you are looking forward to what Thanksgiving may bring your way, hope lots of treats and goodies.
Love you lots Zenyatta and thanks for the wonderful memories I have of you that help me get through each and every day and get past the health issues I have.
Take care sweetie
Love & Blessings Forever

@Sarah: Happy belated birthday. Me thinks your present is actually in a brown wrapper and has four feet! You are so lucky!

I was happy when I thought RR was going to be retired but after reading latest article it looks like he is pre-entered in a race Dec. 1st for $50,000 purse and at a mile and 1/16. Are his owners trying to run him into the ground or something since he is a gelding? I hope I’m wrong.
