Good Morning Everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful and restful weekend. Mine was terrific!
Dottie and I have been reading over your thoughtful comments in the DIARY responses! Thank you so much for the kind words, not just to ME…but to each other.
I totally agree with all of your comments about MY NEW HOME! LANE’S END is an absolutely beautiful farm with huge paddocks and lush surroundings. I am SO HAPPY here! Everyone is incredibly thoughtful of ME. I truly can’t thank them enough for the warmth and kindness shown to ME each day! Needless to say, TASTY and I are 2 very HAPPY HORSES!
I also love the fact that you are enjoying my new ZENYATTA SHOP! There are many more fun things to come in the future. I hope you enjoy them.
Many of you have asked about TASTY and I and if she is ‘protective of ME’. The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES. She is truly a very special and dear friend. She always wants to be sure that I am safe.
From what I can tell from the time I’ve lived at Lane’s End, we seem to have many more visitors to our paddock than the others. We have various writers and photographers here quite a bit, the charity visitors and their families come to see ME, TV crews are here, and then my own dear family frequently comes to Kentucky to see ME and catch up with how I am doing.
TASTY and I do hang out together ALL of the time. When MY JOHN entered the paddock on this particular afternoon, she came right over. She wanted to ‘check him out’. When I take a nap in the field, she normally stands right by ME to be sure I’m A-OK. In turn, I try to do the exact same thing for her. We just want to be sure that each of US has the opportunity to rest, relax, and enjoy our lives the best WE CAN! WE REALLY TRY TO BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER!
Here she is checking out MY JOHN. When he was hugging ME, she wanted to be sure all was terrific. I told her everything was perfect! During MY time at BARN 55, he’d hug ME like this every single day for 5 years. I explained to TASTY that MY JOHN is truly one of US….a dear, dear friend! He then hugged HER too….and she knew this was so true!
Happy Monday! I’m sharing a BIG HUG with all of you, too!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

What wonderful pictures and thankyou so much for sharing them. You look absolutely fabulous Zenyatta as well as your best friend, Tasty. But oh your John with you, just seeing the two of you together brings me to tears, but they are tears of happiness, I know just how close you two are and how much you love each other, and the hugs between the two of you for all those years.
Just so glad that you live at such a nice place there at Lane’s End and that you have a real close and good friend in Tasty Temptation. It is great that you both take care of and keep each other company. It is always so wonderful to have someone to share your daily moments with.
Miss you more than ever Zenyatta and someday I hope that I get to see you in person because I want to give you a hug and kiss, would mean the world to me. You still shine and sparkle brighter than any star up above-you are absolutely beautiful! Thanks for helping me to get through each and every day, thinking of you makes me so happy. I love you lots Zenyatta-Love & Blessings to you always

Hi Zenny. This post is very very sweet!! You are protective of each other. She is your best friend. They are hard to find.. Your gurth is looking very good. Full of baby! Tasty is beautiful just like you. John loves you so. You feel the same. It is a very comforting photo of John hugging you. I must say I`m a bit jealous. I wish I was hugging you. @ JAG – Love your link to Larry the #10 cat. He’s sitting on the table where the Cabinet meets – wonder if he has a vote.
@ Trina – You go from strength to strength with your poetry, such a tribute to Sgt. Reckless.
@ DMCQ – Welcome back after your horrifying experiences. I would have been out of it at the sight of the first snake. Glad to know that you are on the mend and that McDude is OK.

Hay Z I just got back from the doc’s. The super good news is I DON’T have pneumonia. I still have a touch of bronchitis and VERY bruised ribs. I now have a new antibiotic–which has worked before on stubborn bronchitis, and cough medicine with codeine.
So I’m on my way to feeling a bit better…
Anne
How cool to have your own trainer be your number 1 fan as well… Your John is taking photos of you just like your adoring fans did for all of your racing career. I LOVE IT!
I remember watching people with their camera phones at the SA BC. People would yell your name and you would look at them! I couldn’t believe it! Now you were posing for Your John the same way… ha…
I wonder if Tasty ever got hugs from her trainer…do you think she did? Horses are very careful of whom they trust. Your John has that golden touch where horses trust him. Hopefully some day I can win a contest and give you a pat. That would be a dream come true.

DMCQ- So wonderful to hear from you again. It is great that you are recovering and feeling more energized. Many of us were concerned about your absence. I am so glad you had such good care in the hospital and had our Queen Z to focus on and to lend inspiration.
The best to you, Mary

BARBARA WOOD- Thanks for your update on Autumn and her boost from the milk donor.
You are doing so many wonderful things for horses. Your commitment is admirable.

Fellow Zenyatta fans, please help me out. I want to buy the newest print but I can’t find enough information to decide between the poster and the limited edition. I ordered the head picture that was released with the Secretariat piece and was so pleased with the quality of the print and I’m in the business. However I am seriously handicapped when it comes to computors and can’t seem to find the answers I seek. Is this poster of similar quality? And are the signatures in the image or are they on the white surrounding it? Please help so I can order one for me and a friend.I would have been in Louisville and at the party but I was recovering from surgery for breast cancer. I’m just thankful that I was there the previous year and got to see the beautiful girl up close and personal although I was so nervous that many of my pitures were not well focused. It was the absolute best vacation of my life. I will treasure it always and I witnessed the most exciting race ever. She proved to everyone just how special she is, truly a Queen and even more.

Wow you have been through alot. I hope your dog is doing okay after that brush with the snake. I always knew I wasn’t a snake person! This just confirms that to me. And although it doesn’t help–you acted when your dog needed you. That is love. In all it’s pureness and simpleness.
I would guess that the trip to the hospital was far more complicated than you alluded to. Your doctor was right to tell you not to drive. People love people who appreciate the little things they do. Freshen sheets or change the toilet paper rolls. Just a smile or a kind word. Lots of those techs are never recognized for the really good deeds they do. Hospitals are so depressing. Those techs work in the background and most of us walk right by them as though they don’t even exist.
Just keep hanging on. We’ll be here to listen anytime you need us.

Zenyatta you are so beautiful girl . I made a poem about you two years ago which i lost it. I remember Seabiscuit was my favorite racehorse ever, when I was growing up i wasn’t into racing that much but i heard of Barbaro when he got hurt and died which broke my heart very much I heard of Secretariat and War admiral, Man O’ War and Ruffian And Big Brown I’m in my late teens almost an adult now I remember I heard of you back in 2008 or 2009 I watch your videos of racing and dancing I became a big fan of you your so graceful and beautiful you bring tears towards our eyes you Then I became a big horse racing fan in 2008 because of you you brought so much joy in the world of the heart of people I love you very much I hope to see you someday. You and your baby stay healthy and your friend Tasty too with her foal to. Henry V quote ” From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers ” We are fans that share with each other sisters and brothers friends, mothers and fathers, that we have A Great Racehorse by the name of Zenyatta

Ann Maree/Tennessee – thanks for the great slideshow of the party..it gives me a better scope of how it must have been!
Z – just love the pix today with you, John and TT – how stunning you are and I can really feel the energy you emit in this photo.
I have a pix of you on my computer background at work and people would say “is that your horse?” and I would say “I wish’ and then proceed to tell them all about you. Today a new employee saw your pix and asked me the same question but when I told him it was you he already knew and told me that he saw you race at Del Mar so we had a nice little conversation about you. Love you!
Linda
Dear Zenny – First of all, I echo all of the other comments about the great pictures and post today. You, John and Tasty are TOO CUTE together.
I want to tell you a little story about your incredible presence. I was lucky enough to be at your CELEBRATION in KY and I purchased a copy of the wonderful poster of YOU. This weekend, I took the poster to my local framing place. Before we took the poster out of the cardboard tube, I was rattling on about you, your story, why I went to KY, etc. and the person was listening in a polite but slightly distracted way. Then, we laid out the poster and she literally stepped back, gasped a bit and said “what a magnificent
creature!!” After that, she wanted to know all about you, your career, your website, how many people follow you on Facebook, etc. Just another conquest for you, and thanks in this case to Jaime Corum’s fabulous work.
Love you! Linda in NC

@Zenyatta, what a beautiful picture that is of You, John and Tasty.
@Sis Dawn, Yes, I was just so fortunate to have gotten to see John Henry that year I did because he passed away the next year. It was just wonderful to see him. That next year that he died i had just actually just gotten up to Lexington. He died the day after I got there. (I was going back out to see him again.) but it wasn’t meant to be. It was so sad I was reading it in all the papers and seeing it on all the TV stations. I believe it was Steve Cauthan, stating in one of the papers just how wonderful it was just to be fortunate to live close to these magnificent beings, and be able to spend time with them. So fortunate. I agree so much. I believe I am remembering correctly that it was steve who said it. It was one of our famous Jockeys that lives nearby Lexington. I just couldn’t go out there that year. Although, I did stop by and visit up at Man O War’s Grave, just love to strol around there. Just a magical place. Was just to early for me to see John Henry’s stall empty after he had been there the year before. Yeah, I know he’s OK, Barbaro and Secretariat, Eight Belles I just believe we’ll see them again. God Bless em all. Didn’t mean to get sad, just love them all. I want to get back there to see Funny Cide. Have not seen him.
