Good Morning EVERYONE!
Wow! What a weekend of FUN and GREAT RACING!
MY PARTY was a huge success! The KICK-OFF Portion is the part I attended…via the beauty of today’s marvelous technology. I also got to view all of the party goodies and the party favor seat cushions that everyone received as a gift for attending. I loved all of them! I hope you did too!
Then Ann, Jerry, my John, Dottie, and Mikie all were there to visit with the fans. I heard the food was terrific! They played my races and everyone visited and just ‘hung out’. Later, Mikie had to leave for the jockeys’ room (all riders have to check in so many hours before they ride…and I think they gave Mike a bit of a break as they knew he was at MY PARTY spending time with FANS). MY JOHN had to return to the barn to be with his horses. The rest stayed to visit and enjoy the fun.
CHICKEN GREASE played the music and they were absolutely terrific! All of this truly added to the pre-Breeders’ Cup race day fun!
The afternoon session also went very well! People were able to eat, relax, and enjoy the races in the Derby Cafe in the Museum.
Once the Ladies’ Classic was finished, the AFTER PARTY started. I heard this was really GREAT FUN! It was the perfect place to go after the races while the traffic was clearing out. MY JOHN, Mikie, and Dottie attended. I heard they signed tons of items for fans and posed for zillions of photos by my painting and the many posters of ME in the room. CHICKEN GREASE played and it was all very festive!
There is a new DRINK (adult beverage) named for ME called the ZENYATTA! People were enjoying this at the AFTER PARTY great food, and other tasty things. There were even M and M’s with MY NAME on them. Now all of this is TOO CUTE!
I hope you enjoy the LIFE-SIZE painting of ME that was also unveiled at MY PARTY. Above, you see Ann standing next to it. I truly believe the artist, Jaime Corum, did an amazing job on this piece. I AM REALLY ME! The reason for this is that it is done PRECISELY to my measurements…every single part of my body in this painting is exact. IT IS TRULY ME! While working on the project, Jaime would send emails to MY JOHN and they’d review it. Then when he was in Lexington for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Keeneland mid-October, he drove to Louisville to her studio to review the final details with her. EVERYONE WANTED IT TO BE A PERPECT REPRESENTATION OF ME. I’m hearing that it will displayed at the BROWN HOTEL in Louisville for the balance of the Churchill race meet. If you have a moment, please stop by to see it. It is gorgeous….if I say so myself! (BLUSH, BLUSH!)
I’d like to personally thank everyone who attended MY PARTY and Leonard and Dottie for working so hard to ‘make it happen’. As with so many things in my life, ALL OF YOU have helped to MAKE THINGS BE SPECIAL, JOYFUL and FUN! I can’t THANK YOU ENOUGH! I hope in some small way, I HAVE MADE THINGS FUN AND SPECIAL FOR YOU, AS WELL!
With Love,
Hugs to All~(A HIGH-HOOF to all of the Breeders’ Cup winners…and a special HUG to GOLDIKOVA on an amazing career! I am so, so PROUD of HER!)
Z
PS… I’ve heard many of you took photos at the party. I can’t wait to see them. We’ll share more details on different things as the week progresses. Enjoy your day!

Wonderful photo of Ann standing in front of the fabulous painting of YOU, Wish I could have been there to soak up the Zenyatta-nation party. I love how you are being carried forward with such grace, class and style. Bless you dear marvelous horse with a name that begins with Z.
Diana Harris
Wow I love that painting of you! Are they going to make them a little smaller so we can buy them? Maybe a print, a poster something. I just love you and you are truely the most beautiful Thoroughbred I have ever seen. Wish I could have been there I would love to meet you team in person and thank them for everything they have done for Thoroughbred horse racing and us fans. They too are amazing. Love ya big girl you are looking fantastic!

Zen, it was a great party and I’m so glad I got to go. The attention to detail (the little Z cakes, the M&Ms, etc) was great and I enjoyed seeing your halters and trophies too. It was really special, and Mike Smith was so nice to stop and sign autographs even on his way out the door for those of us that didn’t get to him before he had to go. And I really enjoyed seeing you on the live feed. Your baby belly sure is growing!
Elizabeth
Two Breathtaking GIRLS! Zenny, you are surrounded by such beauties (inside and out – all the ‘members’ of your family…yes the men too!)! As soon as we came back from our morning walk, I ran up to my studio to check for your PARTY update and there it was – an AMAZING photo of you, dear girl, and your Ann. I ran back downstairs and grabbed my hubby to come and see the photo of both of you. He agreed – you both look STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL! We’re so happy everyone had such a great time at your PARTY! Thank you everyone in Zenny’s family for sharing so much of your time and these special events of Zenny’s life! You all are so wonderful and generous! Love you, Zenny!
PS The painting is just astonishingly beautiful – Just like you! Can’t wait to see the painting of you and your new little one next!
PPS It seemed as if most of the media folks for the BC compared the horses in the BC to THE GREAT ZENYATTA…..Zenny, you’re evidently THE current barometer now for great horses and great racing!
Shema
Outstanding! Breathtaking indeed! The painting is so perfectly YOU! What a joy!

Hello, Beautiful Zenyatta!
Your party sounds fabulous – and I read all about it in the New York Times – wow! I SO wish I could have been there in person to honor you and your incredible career and also meet many of my cyber Zenyatta pals in person!
Your portrait is absolutely stunning, breathtaking and truly captures you in all of your magnificence. Congratulations to the incredibly talended artist who so skillfully and lovingly rendered your likeness for all of us to enjoy.
Also, many sincere thanks to your INCREDIBLE team – they are truly the best – in every way possible.
Lots of love,
Elizabeth

absolutely FABULOUS weekend of racing! Your portrait is stunning. So missed you this year-just not the same. Even some of the TV commentators said there was not the excitement without you strutting and dancing your way to the track. Total redemption for Mikie this year. And oh, he had great things to say about you on TV. He was broken hearted last year, maybe the three wins Saturday – and the BIG ONE too – will help that heart of his to mend. To Dottie, the Mosses and all of Team Z: You are super people. Thanks for giving us Z!
@Tatia: Go to Mike’s web page and you can email him your photos.
Psst!!! I was with you in spirit, especially Friday!

Dottie and Zenyatta- The Party sounds like it went very well. I can’t wait to everyone’s photos and get a chance to purchase the print of your life size painting… it sounds so grand. I also hope that the Zenyatta Party will take place again next year at the Breeder’s Cup in Santa Anita. What fun.
Thanks again to the Connections and Family of Zenyatta for keeping her so close to her fans — GREAT JOB!!!!!
Kim Noble
The painting is STUNNING!!! And you make every single day special Zenny!
Joanne
Great painting. Wondering if it can be made into a print – at a reasonable cost – so we could hang it on OUR walls???
Jeanine Coogle - Nebraska
The portrait is stunning! I hope they plan a party at the 2012 Breeders Cup at Santa Anita. I hope to head west next year!
Donna
Zenny, you are such a SPECIAL girl!!! What a terrific painting of you! So glad your party was a wonderful success. Wish I could have been there. Thank you for the joy you have brought to me. I loved the picture of Ann and you just hugging because you were so glad to be together.
Your baby bump has really grown. It won’t be long.
Sandy
I probably waited to long to post this on 371 so I’m doing it again:
@Linda – I’m echoing many of the other responses but wanted to add my own thanks for your description of the party
@Ann Maree – thanks for the beautiful photos on Zenny’s Facebook page – your photo of the portrait gives the best overall perspective that I’ve seen (even the live TV shot from the Louisville station wasn’t as good)
To all: Have I got this right? Those of us in “the east” who couldn’t make it to the party this year are just plain out of luck because next year it will be at Santa Anita?
Sandy from Ohio

What a beautiful painting! Wish I could have been there but I had to settle for watching the races over the internet. Loved the Zenyatta-like “come from behind” win in the Classic!
Theresa
THAT is a totally amazing portrait. The detail, the lighting, YOU!
luvscritters
@Sandy — why would you be “out of luck” because it’s at Santa Anita? You don’t have to WALK there — take a plane! (Which is what those of us in the west (I’m in Arizona) would have had to do this year.)
Robin A.B.
What an amazing painting!! Will there be copies made into posters by any chance? Or, will the posters at the event be available for purchase? NO HORSE WILL EVER COME CLOSE TO OUR QUEEN!!
Janet Newman
WOW!!! It is all I can say about your portrait. You are the Queen and always will be. It was great to see Mike win the classic and take some of his disappointment from last year away. I am so glad that your fans have a way to keep up with you and kudos to your connections and especially Dottie for making it happen.
Nancy
And a big congratulations to “your” Mike who proved once again what a great jockey he is!

My Beautiful Zenyatta~ You take my breath away.
Pam Zacek,
What a great race days, the first part was great and what a perfect picture of you, its awesome, and your Mike too, he won that last race, good ride, and safe, but no one, Zen will ever be the one like you, all those races, and you won the last breeders, cup in my eyes, hands down what a race you had, 2 seconds, you would have nailed, it, no doubt in my mind, so still on top in my book, Do you know, when i see you, on the other pictures at lands end i swear i can see the baby, in there, I hope this guy or girl is one winner, also, she will or he will Look at that Moma, so perfect. Kisses Zen right on that nose of yours,
Dallas from Texas
Good morning baby girl, what a wonderful party. I had the greatest time experiencing the love of all your fans in one room. I had a chance to meet so many of your fans and it was amazing to hear so many stories of how you are loved by them. Your portrait was breath taking. When the crowd thinned out, I just stood there for minutes staring at your beautiful self in the portrait. The small print that I purchased, also autographed by your connections, will go into a custom frame and be place alongside my Texas Longhorns on the wall in my living room. Again thank you and your wonderful connections for allowing us fans to come together for this party. Thank them for giving us their time in visiting with us and being patient for such long lines to get an autograph. While Friday was the greatest for me, Saturday was horrible being cut short early when I received a call from Texas of a family death. I was not able to watch the races Saturday but understand that Mike did well. Thanks to you baby girl, and to your the connections for Friday. Love your baby girl.

What a gorgeous picture of you and Ann. The painting is one of a kind just like you Zenyatta. I wish I could have been there for your party, but I live in Calif. and was not able to make it (darn it). It’s so nice to hear that everyone had a great time. You are so so special Zenyatta. With Lots of Love and Big Hugs. Have a great day everyone.
Annie
Many, many thanks to you, Zenyatta, and to your team for ALL that you do. You are all so gracious and do so much for racing, for you legion of fans and for all of the charities you help support so generously. You all are truly an inspiration! The party was great fun and the painting is magnificent. Hugs to you and to Tasty as well. And good luck to your baby half sister who just sold at Keeneland. Any chance your John got a photo of her?
Pam Green
Queen Z I have to say your team knows how to PARTY! It was a such a great time. Tears flowed as we spoke of you and my wonderful hubby bought me one of your pins which I wear all the time. The portrait of you is amazing. And doesn’t everyone want one of the stuffed Z’s for Christmas I know I sure do. Also have to thank Lane’s End for the wonderful experience of touring their farm on Sunday. There were so many ohh’s and ahh’s as people saw each of the stallions and the food there was fabulous. Now to sort out all the pictures and put them in albums and dream about a wonderful horse weekend. Congrats to Mike on his Classic win! Once again your TEAM is the BEST! Thanks to all who helped put on your PARTY~
