Good Morning,
I remember this TREE so well. It’s located on the grass area just outside the Churchill Downs’ barn where I stayed during the 2010 Breeders’ Cup. Cheers to my BARN 55 pals, FRANK and HARMONIOUS! There they are out enjoying the sunshine together this morning. MY JOHN thought they each looked so relaxed and happy. He also got a kick out of the sign and wanted ME to share it with you.
The Kentucky weather is really quite lovely right now and the future forecasts all look to be very encouraging…clear, sunny, and temperatures ranging from the mid 60’s into the 70’s over the weekend. A bit of rain is forecast for Thursday….so I’m sure ‘paddock schooling today’ for all of the participants will be very active.
My Lane’s End buddies have commented that many of the horses appear to be training forwardly and looking strong each morning. RACE DAY is getting close!
In reading your Diary comments and responses, I’ve noticed so many of you are really enthused about MY PARTY! Thank you! I must say, I can’t wait!
The film crews are being organized so I can attend the event and be right there with ALL of you! Leonard is sending Dottie various other party details so she can share them in my Diary during the next few days. This is so much FUN! A party like this has never been done before, thus, this thought really adds to the anticipation. You know ME…I love being FIRST….but I must say, what truly makes it even more SPECIAL…is I can share this activity with ALL OF YOU!
Yippee, I just heard that members of MY TEAM are coming to visit ME tomorrow afternoon. They were last here in mid-September! I’m sure they’ll think my ‘baby bump’ is progressing splendidly. I also have such a fabulous GLOW about ME. This mom-to-be ‘track’ (no pun intended) I’m now enjoying in my life is truly agreeing with ME….if I say so myself! (Blush, Blush!)
In between all of these other activities, I’m doing my handicapping! There are so many great races to review…and I want to be sure to study every single detail. One thing I’ve definitely noticed, MY BERNIE is well represented with his progeny in this year’s WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. He has some very solid opportunities for his offspring to perform CLASSICALLY! HOOVES CROSSED!
Have a glorious day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

I love you, beautiful Zenyatta.

One more day, big girl! I can’t wait, I’m so excited! Thanks to the “Dumplings” that posted the recipe for the ZENYATTA. I’ll have to go get the ingredients and try it or just go to the bar and tell them how to make it. LOL
I hope you and TT are enjoying your time in the paddock. Looking forward to hearing about the Party!

@Lou Ann Cingel – I have a special candle for you near my Zenyatta picture gallery and its light is for healing. My prayers are with you.

Hi Zenyatta! Saw you this morning on TVG. Seeing video of you walking around your beautiful pasture just brought a tear. You look so GOOD. Shiny coat and wonderful round belly. I must say you carry your baby weight very nicely, because you are such a big, tall beautiful girl.:) Looking forward to all the great races coming up tomorrow and Saturday. Hope everyone comes home safe and sound. “Hooves crossed”. Good luck to all your pals that are racing.

High hoof to the gracious John Shirreffs, who in the article linked to by Karen Gogue, commented in respect to his Mr. Commons in Saturday’s Mile race,
“I’d love to win it but … I would never root against Goldikova… I can root for Mr. Commons without rooting against Goldikova.” He remembers that Goldikova’s connections rooted for Z in the Classic. (Thanks for the link, Karen!)
Guido
This morning on the radio there was someone who has seen you this week and they said you look FANTASTIC! I’m sure you’re rooting for Goldikova and Havre de Grace. I wish Goldikova especially the best because some are saying she’s lost a step. Great horses don’t lose a step. I know you’re wishing them the best. Enjoy your party!!!!!

Hi Zenny, Team Z and Z Dumplinz!!! Haven’t posted in awhile but have been lurking. Just wanted to wish everyone a very wonderful, happy party tomorrow. Zenny, I know you will be the perfect hostess even by virtual means. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow while I’m at work. Have my DVR set to record so I can see some Z’sters having fun.
My daughter and I have been busy with her social schedule and helping out at the horse rescue, where we volunteer. Our sponsoree there, William, is doing great along with his girlfriend Lacy. And the rest of the horses are doing well also. There has been some updates to the website for equestrianinc.org if anyone would like to take a look.
@Zenny–I’m so glad that you are getting to visit with your family again.
Praying for a safe 2 days of racing at the Breeders Cup and also for some excitement with Havre de Grace, Goldikova, Stay Thirsty, Uncle Mo, Shackleford and everyone else that I’ve forgotten.
To all Z’sters and Dumplinz that need good thoughts and prayers, here’s to you.
So excited for everyone, have a good time and safe trips to all. Zenny, please thank Dottie, John, Ann and Jerry for all that they do so we mere mortals can have something to look up to every day. And have a place to come to rejuvenate.
Lotsa, lotsa love to all.

To all those attending Zenyatta’s party who have never had the opportunity to meet the extraordinarily special members of the Team which brought her to us, you will now see why we in Southern California love them so very much. They are on-loan to you for one day only. After that–you must please return them, as we cannot bear their absence. Have the time of your lives, everyone! LIVE YOUR DREAM!
Kari: 12th Heart.

I wish I could be at your party! You’re a once in a lifetime horse. Enjoy your teams visit. We all love you so much. I’ll stay tuned in to your webpage to get glimpses of all the events.

Hi Z..I visited your old stall at barn 55 yesterday and what a surprise to see your adorable sister Elboussant. She has such a sweet face and reminded me of you. Lots of new faces at Barn 55..many speaking French. I enjoyed visiting with the regulars like Mario, Steve and Michelle. Enjoy your Breeders Cup weekend. Last year at this time we were all sweating bullets….but you ran the race of a lifetime and we loved you for it!!! What a girl.
Violet
Zenyatta, you have many savvy fans. Let’s toast their passion, and wish everyone a great BC weekend.

@Sandy–I’m so curious about your surgery. What exactly is a revision? Did you have an infction or someththing? Please keep me posted on how you’re doing.
@Vicki B-Too cute! If TC doesn’t watch it, he’s going to lose his job. Just kidding, TC!
@Abigail from Montreal–thanks so much for the link to the visit with Z. I can testify to the truth of being in her presence. I’ve never felt anything like that before with a horse.
Precious Z–your baby is really growing. The whole time during the visit, you were having a serious case of the munchies! I bet that lovely grass tastes divine, now that you are eating for two. Have a good night’s rest, ok? Big day tomorrow. Love you always.

@Terry Crow, gypsy for now
You might be a red neck if your grandfather died and left everything to his widow. But she can’t touch it until she is fourteen.
You might be a red neck if you carry a fishing pole to Sea World.
You might be a red neck if you can get horse hair out of your belly button.
You might be a red neck if you think the last words to the Star Spangled Banner are : “all horses are in the gate, and they are off, racing” “Zenyatta is dead last early”.

GO Rapid Redux and win your retirement and KY horse park,
What a feat #20, best of luck. It is not the quality of the races when making history in numbers it is only the numbers. Go Great Gelding of Pleasantly Perfect lineage. !!!!!

Love that link with John Sheriffs interview; it will be Freddy Head next year, if he as a horse that can come to BC, maybe Goldi’s sister, who is a stayer.
signofthetimes
Just spent some time watching all of Goldi wins in the BC Mile
2008, 2009 and 2010. Did not realize how versatile she is,
she comes from behind, off the pace and from mid pack.
She appears much more versatile in the US than in her Euro races.

Hi, Zenny,
Please ask Dottie if John’s daughter is home from Iraq, next time you visit? I’ve been writing to a lot of people over there and in Afghanistan and it makes me think of her…..thank you and have a glorious weekend, full of memories and excitement!
Shaun S. Basch
I’d love to meet you someday, Zenny! You’ve been my everything and inspiration for years…along with my OTTB gelding that I lost this past September. He was your biggest equine fan. I will be taking some of his ashes with me when I head down to Kentucky for the Breeder’s Cup with my fiance…the two of us were there cheering you on last year!
Can’t wait to see that beautiful, little baby you’ve got growing so well in that tummy of yours! You’re looking great, beautiful girl! <333
