Good Morning,
Yesterday’s post…thank you for all of your loving comments!
A few days ago, I had some very special visitors. The man on the left is Don Robinson. I was foaled and raised at his farm, Winter Quarter, in Lexington, Kentucky…not too far from where I live now. He has come to visit ME several times during my racing career and since I’ve returned to Kentucky. I know him very well!
The gentleman on the right, scratching one of my favorite spots, is my breeder, Eric
Kronfeld. Wow! It was so great to see both of them. Eric followed MY racing career very closely and constantly stayed in touch with what was going on in MY LIFE with MY TEAM.
Both of these gentlemen touched my life in a very special way. In reality, if it wasn’t for my breeder planning the mating that he did for my MOM, Vertigineaux, to Street Cry, I wouldn’t be here.
Then when I was foaled, Don, was right there. He made sure that everything went well for ME while I was growing up as a young foal and yearling.
It is interesting to note that MY breeder is also the gentleman who bred and owns my baby sister, EBLOUISSANTE. Don foaled and raised her as well! So HOOVES CROSSED for all of these members of ‘MY FAMILY’ as ‘E’ embarks on her racing career at BARN 55.
LIFE IS SO INTERESTING! When one reflects upon certain things that happen in his/her life, the timing of certain decisions being made seems to play such an instrumental role in what happens in life….probably much more than one can say.
It was really so great to see ERIC and DON again! These are truly 2 very important people in MY LIFE! I can’t THANK THEM enough for the very early decisions they made…which had such an impact on ME becoming ME!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

@Anna—-Good luck with your Achilles tendon injury. Let us know if you need that surgery. Hugz.
@Melinda Kaczur (GA)—I’m so sorry to hear you lost your job and then had a heart attack—oh my goodness! High hoof to you for getting yourself together for Z’s party. I hope it will be a revitalizing tonic for you in body and soul! When you see the three Zenyateers (Shari Voltz, Kari Bussell, and Susan in TN), please say hi to them from me, OK? Please keep us posted about your health, and best wishes to you.
@Cheryl—I’m so sorry to hear that you are sick—–best wishes for a speedy recovery, and let us know if you can how you are doing. Hugz.
@Judy Berube, signofthetimes, Ann Maree, and the Kennedys in San Diego—Thanks for the links to Winter Farm and the interviews about Z, V, and E.
@The Kennedys in San Diego—Great analysis of how Z and E compare one to the other as two-year-olds, and I LOVE your reference to John as “the diamond-cutter”—high hoof!

So sad to read about Personalized. They are all Michael’s children so loseing any is difficult for him. He does right by them all and is to be commended.

Hi Zenny, love you! I’m so grateful to be living in your time on this earth. Thank you, God, for this amazing gift known as Zenyatta, and thank you for bringing Eric Kronfeld and Don Robinson together in the first place! There’s been some pretty amazing timing going on throughout Zenny’s life. David spotting her in the sales, Ann and Jerry going for it and bringing her home to Barn 55 and then there’s John and crew, and there probably aren’t even enough beautiful words to say about Dottie. That’s a lot of good timing going on! Sure makes you wonder. No matter, we’re the lucky ones for whatever was going on that brought us Zenyatta. :-)
@JAG/California – would love to know when Dumplings plan to visit the Carousel. Maybe I could join you, if that’s okay?
@ALL – great links, as usual!

Zenny, all I know is I am so happy YOU and your wonderful connections came into my life…even it is through the media. You spread pure JOY!

Zenny, what a great post and picture of two very important people in your life.
Yes, thw world will also be watching your little sis when she’s ready to race. We only hope everyone lets her be herself and not try to make her into another Zenny. We all know that is impossible although she will be special in her own way.

@All my Z friends: I can’t seem to get caught up and reply to all I would like to, but I read thru yesterday’s and today’s posts. Yesterday’s posts were so beautiful and heartfelt.
@Diana S: Thank you for the update on Doris- I am so relieved she is out of the hospital and doing okay!
@Alex: Please reach out to someone- there is help out there and wonderful things waiting to happen. When you are feeling better, MY best suggestion is to see if there is a horse rescue in your area. There are MANY out there (not enough, unfortunately) that you may not be aware of one near you. Go online to check, ask at your local vet offices, humane society. Some people rescue without being an “official” organization. It is an amazing experience and a chance to work with horses. Bless you <3
@Kimberly Potter: The world is a brighter place with little Evyn Bell Potter in it! Glad everyone is fine-congrats!!
@Kim S: I got cold chills reading about you seeing Zenny's colors in the building the morning of the BC!
@The Kennedys: Love your description of our John as the "Diamond Cutter"-perfect!
@JAG and others planning a carousel day: I am picturing small children crying because all these grown-ups won't let them have a ride on the PRETTIEST horse:)
What a wonderful thing the Mosses did, sponsoring that carousel! I especially like the dung beetle.
@Kari B: I hope you are just busy or having your new treatments but am missing your posts<3
@Terry Crow: Missing your jokes!
@Dawn C: Thanks for the message yesterday- come on down (or over)! Wouldn't that be fun?!?
@Debbie G: Loved your description of Skip Away's service. I felt so bad for his owner-must have been hard. Glad you could be there.
@Kathy Kimber: Hope you're feeling better soon<3
Warm wishes and prayers to all who are in need<3
Thank you to all for your comments, posts, links.

Hello again, Zenny. I forgot to add that Rachel Alexandra has a pregnant buddy that she pals around with, just like you and Tasty Temptation! RA’s friend is Hot Dixie Chick, and the people at Stonestreet said that the two of them are inseparable. I thought that was too cute that she has a BFF just like you. Love you, Zenny!

Zenyatta, what a wonderful picture, I love it and you too.

@ Z DUMPLINGS RE. ZENNY ZOO DAY:
I love the postings! :-)
@ Susan TN: I loved your post “@JAG and others planning a carousel day: I am picturing small children crying because all these grown-ups won’t let them have a ride on the PRETTIEST horse :)” LOL!! That is hilarious because I was thinking the same thing! I can just picture all of us adults waiting in a separate line just to ride The Queen :-)))
~~~~~~~~
I will look at the HP schedule and try to pick a Saturday that won’t conflict with racing. I will then post on here. Yes, I will try to give as much advance notice as possible ~ the more ~ the Merrier (wink wink) ONLY FOR ZENNY! XOXO
You turned out so perfect Z and thanks to Erick and Don. What I never understood was why that same breeding never was repeated. Your Mom and Dad always do well with what they produce and you are the very best prize of them all. You are the best, the Queen and you cant beat that. I am glad to see that Erick and Don came by to see you again and that they do so from time to time. Have a great day and love you always.
JANET from Wisconsin: I have never met Mr Don Robinson, but I just think “THE WORLD OF HIM” listening to him speak and see him with Z– He is just so gentle and warm with her and you can see she is very at ease with Mr R. I hope Mr Robinson is at the birth of Zenny’s foal—how right that would be! A BIG HELLO TO MR DON ROBINSON !!!!!!!!!
For all of those facing challenges of any type…I am glad you have found a safe haven at this site. I continue to be amazed by the love and respect that fills this page. Zenny and Dottie, thank you for bringing us together.
Dear Zenyatta – Your words are profoundly beautiful, “. . . When one reflects upon certain things that happen in life . . .“ It mirrors the sentiment that one comes away with after watching “It’s A Wonderful Life.” To Dottie Shirreffs I want to say “thank you” for the warm wishes for my birthday and especially to someone who is a reflection of charm and graciousness, Karen Gogue. I learn from you and I “thank you” for being my friend.
Dawn Conrad / Colorado
@Hi, all! Just a quick question. I posted an entry earlier today that appeared, but had a message it was being reviewed. Now it is gone. That is the first time this has occurred. I did have a link to Three Chimneys Facebook Page with some photos of Silver Charm in Japan. Is that why it was removed? Will it post later or should I just remove the link and try again. Please let me know if you have an answer. Thanks.
