Good Morning,
It’s FRIDAY! I hope each of you had a very healthy, happy and productive week!
In our racing world, so much is taking place during the next 4 days. I really do need to get all of the details of my schedule worked out. I do not MISS one thing. TASTY agrees.
On Friday, Keeneland opens their Fall Meet. Over the next few days, they are hosting several major prep races for the Breeders’ Cup. My friend from California, SWITCH, is competing in one of them. This time, she is sprinting. Overall, Keeneland offers a lovely stakes program. All of these races will be fabulous to watch. In looking at the FORM, they have very full fields. It might be a good idea to start your handicapping early.
In general, the 2 year old racing is heating up as well. There are several graded stakes for them taking place now.
Then on Saturday and Sunday, Santa Anita and Belmont Park continue their preps for the World Championship Days. There won’t be a moment to spare with all of these contentious races taking place in our country.
I do want to mention that BLACK CAVIAR is going for #14 at Caulfield on Saturday. What a thrill! I so enjoy watching such top-quality racing.
What a ‘sporting weekend’ we have in store.
The BEST OF LUCK to all who are competing both ‘on’ and ‘off’ the track in all of these events!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

@Zenny and Team: I eagerly look forward to being at Santa Anita with all my Z Dumpling friends on Saturday (for JAG’s Birthday Bash) and watching top notch racing in the fabulous setting of my HOME STATE! Safe trips for all horses and riders, and good luck to Mr. Commons! Gotta go get my DRF and handicap!
@Z friends: Not dragging the laptop with me, so I’ll post Sunday evening after I get home.
Hugs to everyone who needs or wants one.

One more thing – it looks the grass is starting to change and darken up a bit. I hope that you get a patch of green grass flown in to Lane’s End for you from California. You need to graze – it’s the best part of the day!!! Stay safe and warm – snow will be there soon. :)

Although I’ve been involved with horses all my life (and even think I met YOUR JOHN at my stable on Long Island when he was a cute fourteen-year-old), I don’t follow horse-racing and didn’t know you until the Sixty Minutes segment, but I wish I’d been following you all along. I feel as though I’m getting a great education reading your posts, and your fans who post on this website are the loveliest people!
I wish the photos were a little lighter so that we could see your face!

Happy Friday!!!!

I’d like to know how I can visit Z’s stall at Hollywood Park, since I will be out in the area next weekend. Please let me know! Thank you!
Allen
Z you look better ever day, motherhood is agreeing with you. I have only had TWH in the past, but I have purchased two TB, and will be picking them up tomorrow. One is retired from racing, his name is Trois Desir. The other one hasn’t raced, but has been used in Dressage at Level 1, his name is Why The Long Face (Kobie). It feels pretty good to be able to give these two TB a forever home. Hope you have a great weekend my Queen.

Been trying to keep up with the posts.. I was gone last weekend from Sunday until Tuesday.. My husband and I celebrated 9 years of Marriage on October 1st and we flew to Las Vegas to celebrate.. We were married there and so its our favorite place to go for our Anniversary. We went and saw the Lion King (the musical) while we were there.. It ends in Decemeber.. I I highly recommend seeing it if you are going to Vegas in the next couple months..
We are already planning our trip there next year to celebrate our 10th anniversary.. we plan on Staying at the same hotel we stayed at 10 years ago for our wedding..

Thats what I forgot to mention.. We did of course do gambling while we were there and I even tried a Trifect.. Didnt win but I came close.. Sorta.. I picked 8, 4, and 2.. top 2 finishers were 4 and 8 so I had that order backwards lol.. And the 2 was well back.. I LOVE watching horse racing.. My husband doesnt enjoy it like I do..

Zenny- you DO have a lot to keep up with! Glad you and Tasty can talk things over- not to mention Dottie! I hope everyone has a safe trip in all their various races. I saw where your little sister E had a workout and ranked 5/10- sounds good to me! Good luck to Mr. Commons! I am going to pay special attention to the 2-year-olds, since they will be racing at the BC on the Friday of your party! I got tickets, Zenny- just have to work out the “other stuff” :) Love you, sweet girl <3

@Diana S, JAG and other Dumplings going to SA this weekend: Be good- but if you’re going to be bad, at least get it on YouTube!
@Betsy McGrath: This is a great place here-and the thought of a 14-year-old John is…too cute!
@Anna M: Happy Anniversary!
@Victoria Bailey: Early Happy Birthday!
@Allen: That is very exciting about your 2 new TBs! Keep us posted!
@ALL: Does anyone know where I can get a “Z” cap? I’m not having much luck.
Susan in TN
@DMCQ: I wore my “C” cap out and got a compliment on it- I had to explain the story behind it and that made it even better!

@Dottie and ALL of Team Z: Thank you for all you do <3

Hi Zenyatta. Yes, what a great long weekend of racing. We are leaving for Los Alamitos tomorrow, going for the big race on Sunday. Unfortunately, Freaky will not be running but it should be awesome. We plan on going to Seal Beach on Sunday a.m. Supposed to be 81 degrees. Yea. Love you big girl, stay comfy, eat well for two, enjoy those long talks and grazing time with TT and all of your friends. Love you, Angel in Disguise. Have a great weekend.
Savvy
Zenyatta, do you and Tasty make some wagers on the side? Bet you have won a lot of peppermints, if so:) I didn’t see any of these races scheduled for ESPN unfortunately and I don’t have HRTV. Sure wish they televised more of these “puppies”. Have a fun weekend, Zen and stay healthy.

Hi Zenyatta,
Looks like you’re still working on that sun-bleached California look! Hope you enjoy your busy weekend and that you and TT get stuff all planned out. Thanks for all the pictures, Sarah, and thanks to the families for always sharing. Love and hugs, Suzanne G
@Allen–so good to hear about your TB’s! I’m sure they think it’s great to HAVE a forever home.

Good Luck to Black Caviar! Zenyatta you are still the most beautiful horse to grace a track or a paddock. You are THE QUEEN.
