Good Morning,
It’s FRIDAY! I hope each of you had a very healthy, happy and productive week!
In our racing world, so much is taking place during the next 4 days. I really do need to get all of the details of my schedule worked out. I do not MISS one thing. TASTY agrees.
On Friday, Keeneland opens their Fall Meet. Over the next few days, they are hosting several major prep races for the Breeders’ Cup. My friend from California, SWITCH, is competing in one of them. This time, she is sprinting. Overall, Keeneland offers a lovely stakes program. All of these races will be fabulous to watch. In looking at the FORM, they have very full fields. It might be a good idea to start your handicapping early.
In general, the 2 year old racing is heating up as well. There are several graded stakes for them taking place now.
Then on Saturday and Sunday, Santa Anita and Belmont Park continue their preps for the World Championship Days. There won’t be a moment to spare with all of these contentious races taking place in our country.
I do want to mention that BLACK CAVIAR is going for #14 at Caulfield on Saturday. What a thrill! I so enjoy watching such top-quality racing.
What a ‘sporting weekend’ we have in store.
The BEST OF LUCK to all who are competing both ‘on’ and ‘off’ the track in all of these events!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

@Judy Berube: I responded to Stacy at the website you provided. I made a modest pledge toward keeping Hot Under Pressure safe. Hope it helps, but also, hope that his owners will do right by him!
Hugs!
@Trina Nagele: What a gorgeous birthday poem for JAG! I got misty-eyed! What a wonderful gift! Hugs and all the best!

Hi Zenny, it looks like you are surely getting into all the racing around the Country big time. Hope you and Tasty have a great weekend. It sounds like the weather is a little warmer there right now so it should be very enjoyable for you. Have a great weekend and I’m sending you much love.
Peggy (N)
Do you think Sheik Mohammed just might have something, with bring Lonhro to the US. He sure does look like a very healthy horse. And, Bold Ruler in his line OMG.

Dear Marshall (girls name):
Unfortunately, it is his owner that may be his “worst enemy”. Thank you so much for pledging and we will watch closely and lose no time in acting to save him if need be. There are no better people than Z’s Fans. Hugs, JB

Dear Kim S.:
Thank you so much. Z’s Fans are the best there is. Hugs, JB

Dear Zenyatta – Your Mikey did great on Amazombie and Mr. Commons did too, right behind him! (Watched it on Bloodhorse.com) Not as good as being there but I had to be content with it.
You and Tasty T will have lots to talk about tomorrow over Blue Grass Brunch!
Love to you and BabyZB

Definately right about Lonhro, lots more in his pedigree too and very very sound stallion.

@JAG
Hope you had a great day with all the Z Dumplings at SA. Great races there.
Let me know if you are going to get together in Nov. timing will be better.

@Judy B
Lonhro does resemble Bernie, but much stockier and less refined; kind of like Street Cry, too.

@Terry Crow – At IMDB, it links to Melody Thomas Scott for “Girl on Streetcar (as Melody Thomas)”, with pictures of her, but not from The Shootist. She would have been 19 or 20 in the film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075213/fullcredits#cast
And thanks for today’s joke & redneck jokes.
Vicki B.
@Terry Crow & @Kari Bussell – I haven’t seen The Shootist yet, either, but now it’s on my list. Just watched the Trailer on the film’s page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075213/

Good Morning Lane’s End – Dear Zenny and tasty, I’m sure you had a great day yesterday and that Matt was able to keep you both up to date with all the results. I sat for seven hours watching HRTV on my computer and enjoyed every minute of it, not one guilty thought about not doing laundry or housework. Caught a glimpse of Dottie, looking gorgeous as usual. Today I am going out for Thanksgiving dinner so no Santa Anita races for me. Have a wonderful day with Tasty and enjoy the Indian summer.
@ Judy b – Happy Cdn Thanksgiving to you.
Brenda S..
@ Dawn C – I have just seen on the news that Denver had snow yesterday!!! Hope you didn’t get hit. That would seem most unfair when Fort Erie will be enjoying 80 degrees today.
Abigail from Montreal
Good morning all. Before Thanksgiving overtakes my day (followed by our Canadiens playing the newly-rehomed Winnipeg Jets, LOL!) I checked in on yesterday’s race results. I was VERY impressed with the 2 year-old, Union Rags. What a great win and what a nice colt, who had less than a good trip but came at the end like a superstar. I was happy too for Our Miss Aurelia and just thrilled for Gio Ponti!! And Mr. Commons — gee but he ran great considering that he didn’t settle well in the gate & then bumped his head….but what a great heart in that colt. He ran the last quarter with real brilliance!
Have a great day, everyone! Kisses to my big girl. Love you Zenny.
Lynn from nearby Hollywood Park
Hi Zenny and tiny z,
Warm thoughts to you. As it’s heating up in Calif this week, .. in the 90’s.
Mr. Commons ran great (even tho 2nd)…. what rush at the end. I cherish the photo I have with him and me together from earlier this year at your barn 55. Hugs Mr. C.
.. @ all the Z fans here, I love all the post and info you provide. Best site, really.
BTW.. I think whips are used too many times in final quarter, IMO. so,.. I e-mailed my opinion to Bloodhorse. They will be printing it in an upcoming magazine issue. (England has limited use restrictions) :) Just taking care of my sweeties.
I Love you Z.

Good morning Zenny and your gal pal, TT.
Keep on enjoying the good life!

@Barbara Grimaldi–signed the petition–hope to hear that there is some relief for such a desperate situation
@judy berube–thanks for link to pledge a bit to help Hot Under Pressure
@Lynn–great that you emailed your opinion on whips to Bloodhorse–Black Caviar’s jockey, Nolen, was given only one instruction prior to the Newmarket–not hit her with the whip.”
Sunny Boyd
Good morning Zetty,
hope this Sunday morning finds you & T. T. doing swell, probably finishing up your paddock duty, and resting & digesting some for more later. :)
What a beautiful picture you make!

My Queen, Happy Sunday! I hope you & Tasty are enjoying the gorgeous weather..Please make sure Mr. Commons knows how proud we are of him & the heart he showed yesterday…tell him we Love him…YOU know we LOVE you Great Champion Queen of Our Hearts and reigning 2010 Horse of the Year.
@All*** who sent me emails since first week of July….I panicked thinking it had been compromised (it had not) and tried to delete account… If you guys knew what my silly self panicked over, you would tease me forever. Of course, I did that wrong and it did not delete completely…My friend (expert) thought he could restore it and save my emails and contacts, but was unable to restore it…I had numerous emails I was unable to read. Yahoo has finally cleared my original address. I have now opened a new account using it. My sincere apologies to anyone who thought enough of me to take the time to email me that I never will be able to respond. To those who have the time-please send a new email re-sharing what you wanted to share. I am very disappointed I may never know what some wanted to share. I had so hoped to be able to restore them. To those who already have the address Karen Gogue has please feel free to continue using it. To anyone wishing to contact me. please contact me at…karibussell@yahoo.com

Kari Bussell
@Terry Crowe- The feeling is mutual…I have just been interrupted with pop-in company… I will be responding more as soon as they leave and I find my voice again after such high praise…speechless…
@Vickie B- thank you for info on movie,
Jeanie
Hi All,
Well, anxiously awaiting the arrival call from Marlene from Valley View to let me know where to meet her tonight for dinner — somewhere along I-5. I am really excited! I AM JUST SO GRATEFUL AND PROUD OF MY FELLOW Z’ISTERS. I SAW THE MESSAGE REGARDING URGING THE GOV. OF TEXAS TO HELP FEED THE STARVING HORSES THERE AND I THINK THIS IS SOMETHING WE SHOULD ALL GET BEHIND, NOT JUST FOR TEXAS, BUT ANY OTHER STATE EXPERIENCING DROUGHT.
I was speechless when I saw the commercial on TV yesterday from Lonhro (sp?) That guy is built like a BULL! Wow. Is he going to make a difference? YES. He is probably going to be personnally responsible for a generation of milers and sprinters that are going to be tremendous. Honestly, he looks more like a quarter horse and carries to much in his neck and chest. Pretty amazing. His confirmation is pretty unique to my eyes. ANYWAY, HOPE EVERYONE IS HAVING A WONDERFUL SUNDAY

Zenyatta,
