Good Morning,
Everything seems to be moving right along with MY PARTY. The Breeders’ Cup Official Announcement was released yesterday…and everything is progressing beautifully. This is so exciting!
In the meantime, I’m getting myself ready for all of the events and my photo sessions. The weather at this moment (I’m using the term ‘moment’ as it can change very quickly here in Lexington) is PICTURE PERFECT. I’ve heard at home in Arcadia and also at Barn 55, it is raining a bit today.
As you may know, weight gain is always a big consideration and something that is constantly monitored when one is ‘in foal’. I am very pleased to report that the amount of weight I’m gaining while carrying BABY Z/B is right ‘on target’. I guess you could say that at this time, I’m gaining the perfect amount of weight…and in all the right places! Yippee!
For those of you who have asked…NO GUINNESS! I’m drinking lots of water and really trying to do ALL of the right things!
I’m so used to being an athlete and having my muscles toned and fit…that this “BABY BUMP CONCEPT’ is a new ‘look’ for ME! But I must say, I LOVE IT!
Enjoy your day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

HI Z! Yes, it is raining here in CA, not too cold here yet but a nice rain. You look beautiful and I see you are wearing a nice blanket to keep you warm. I am so glad all is going well with ZB and I think it is a really cute name too! Have a great evening Z! xxoo

@Rosemary McCauley-Regarding redneck definitions, which Roman emperor? @Denise in AZ-No need to embellish your resume. Your are already in. Like I have said, I laugh with my people, not at them. @Dawn Conrad-Mr. Hancock was very disappointed that Blame did not win HOY, a position which obviously conflicts with most on this blog. People should know that he is basically a good guy. @Cynthia H-I hope that working at a place like SA does help. @Kimberly Potter-You are the only person who has campaigned for entrance into the club after I published the roster. I’m not quite sure what that means. @Barbra Wood-Thank you. @Sue Noel-Don has COPD and the surgery was performed to improve his quality of life for whatever time he has left. Thanks for your sentiments. @Kari Bussell and Susan in TN-You might be a redneck if you share your beer with your dog. You might be a redneck if, when you retire, you find a better job as a janitor. You might be a redneck if, when Sears eliminated its catalog, you were forced to buy toilet paper. You might be a redneck if the Orkin man tells you “Give up. You’ve lost.” Today’s joke–A Priest, a Rabbi and a minister were all out fishing one day. After about an hour, the Rabbi got up in the boat and said “Guys, In have to get something to drink. I’ll be right back.” At which point he stepped out of the boat and walked across the water to shore, up the bank, and into the cabin. A few minutes later, he came out of the cabin, walked down the bank, back across the water and got back into the boat. The minister was flabbergasted, but decided to say nothing. Pretty soon, the Priest stood up and said “Guys, I’m hungry. I’m going to get a snack.” The Priest repeated the trip across the water and back and seated himself in the boat. By this time the Minister was so shocked that he decided that he should do the same thing. He stood up and said “Guys, I need to use the bathroom. I”ll be right back.” At which point he stood up, stepped over the railing of the boat and into the water and sank like a rock. The Rabbi then looked at the Priest and said “Do you think we should have told him where the rocks were?”

I’m trying so hard to come to your party! At 14, I think I’m the youngest person getting (hopefully) a ticket! I’ll see you there I hope!

THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE ON ZENNY’S DIARY WHO KNOW HORSE RACING INSIDE OUT AND BACKWARDS, AND I AM ASKING THEM IF THEY KNOW OF ANY RULE ON THE BOOKS ANYWHERE IN THE USA THAT LIMITS THE AMOUNT OF TIMES A TRAINER/OWNER CAN RUN A HORSE? AND IF THERE ARE NO SUCH RULES IN PLACE, WHICH IS WHAT I BELIEVE, DO YOU KNOW OF ANY MOVEMENT TOWARD SUCH A RULE, OR KNOW OF A SPECIFIC GROUP WORKING TOWARD SUCH A RULE? We’ve got a horse situation where a mare is being run several times within days, and this has happened to her before. The horse is Indian Tale and the trainer, of course, is RICK DUTROW. We’re been watching this horse and all of his horses to see how he treats them regarding frequency of racing. May I quote him for you?
:”I don’t know that there’s much to talk about. I give them the shot (of Winstrol) in the middle of the month. Not every one, no. But most of ’em,” Dutrow says. “I don’t know (what effects it has), I just like giving it. I don’t see an effect with my horses. I wouldn’t know what it was, but I like giving it. It’s like Clenbuterol. I give all my horses Clenbuterol, but I don’t see no effect. But I like giving it to them.” Rick Dutrow from a 2008 article in the NY Daily News.

@Terry Crow – As a redneck, I know nothing about emperors, what can I say? Aren’t they a type of penguin? You are our resident historian/trivia expert and I defer to you on that subject.

@Barbara Grimaldi. This may be a stupid question but if Dutrow doesn’t know what the shot is and what it does and doesn’t see any effect, then WHY IS HE GIVING IT? A quick Google check of Winstrol shows it as an anabolic steriod used in animals for muscle growth, red blood cell production, increased bone density.
Here is the definition of Clenbutrol that is shown in wiki.
“The European Union prohibits the use of clenbuterol in food-producing animals. It is, however, used in other parts of the world for the treatment of allergic respiratory disease in horses, as it is a bronchodilator. A common trade name is Ventipulmin. It can be used both orally and intravenously. It is also used in cattle to relax the uterus in cows, usually at the time of parturition.[15] It is also a nonsteroidal anabolic and metabolism accelerator, through a mechanism not well understood. Its ability to increase the muscle-to-fat body ratio makes its illegal use in livestock popular to obtain leaner meats.”
Is this guy serious? Rhetorical question. That horse should be tested and if positive for these drugs taken off of the track. Period!

Hi Zenny–Just having fun– I think your blanket should be PINK!!!!! You look great.

Zenny- you are a Madonna in your maternity sweater, grazing on sweet bluegrass in the autumn sunshine. You do literally have a golden glow to your being! Glad you and your Team are taking such care with your “delicate condition”- you will be such a good mom! I hope that you and Tasty T can be together in the paddock with your babies- that would be TOO CUTE! I bet they are already aware of each other :) I am still hoping to go to your party- hooves crossed! Love you, sweet Zenyatta <3
