Good Morning!
I must say…I AM SO PROUD AND SO EXCITED! I truly believe that ALL OF YOU, your love, your support, your enthusiasm for ME and MY SPORT have helped to make this possible!
I’m hosting a BIG PARTY and ALL OF YOU are invited!
For the last 3 years, BREEDERS’ CUP has truly been a huge part of my life. It has been a focal point in my career each season. So thanks to ALL OF YOU and the powers that BE…this year I am still going to be completely involved with Breeders’ Cup and the activities…but in a different role than ever before.
I am the OFFICIAL HOSTESS at the INAUGURAL ZENYATTA CELEBRATION
to ‘kick off’ The Breeders’ Cup Weekend Festivities.
Can you imagine this! ME, ZENYATTA, hosting a party at Breeders’ Cup!
I truly hope you can attend!
This has never been done before in RACING. (Blush, Blush!) I am able to invite my fans to come and join ME to celebrate this BIG DAY, Friday, November 4th, at the Kentucky Derby Museum adjacent to Churchill Downs. My Team will be there to join in this celebration by sharing some of our fun experiences, visiting with ALL of you, and signing autographs.
We will have a lovely buffet, my races will be playing, there will be live entertainment, we’ll have many fun products for you to see, and so much more.Breeders’ Cup will even provide the first 500 Z party-goers complimentary seating for Friday’s races. This way YOU can sit together and share in this fabulous day! I think we should call this the Z SECTION!
What is even more special…is I will be there too with ALL OF YOU…via LIVE VIDEO FEED from LANE’S END…to participate in the celebration. Tasty will be joining ME! We don’t want to miss a moment of this memorable occasion!
I simply can’t wait! I will be at Churchill Downs again…with ALL OF YOU…to enjoy great racing, MY PARTY, and share in all of the wonderful times and memories we have experienced during the last 3 plus years at Breeders’ Cup.
Breeders’ Cup has been so gracious. They have granted ME the opportunity to announce this to ALL OF YOU first before they release MY PARTY news to the public next Tuesday. They know how much I adore ALL OF YOU and SO APPRECIATE the relationships we have shared during my career!
LUCKY ME!
Please click here for all of the party details!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~ (Let’s Party!)

Another great photo Zenny, but then again, we expect nothing less from you. :)
Have to be qucik, running late this evening.
Here is my response to an email that I sent to Marlene Dodge @ Valley View Rescue: Hi Kimberley;
Thank you so much. We did raise the funds to secure the safety for the ten horses. What is left to raise for this particular rescue, it the paperwork and transport fees. If there are ANY funds left from this rescue, it will be used to secure another horse from there.
Some of the funds from the last fundraiser were used to pull a horse out when I was there picking up that last group.
Thank you for your support and thank Zenyatta for her part in rescuing these horses.
Marlene Dodge
So there you go Big, Sweet Girl, a thank you from Marlene herself
Love you Zenny and all the good things that have come about because of you and your wonderful Team Z.
Lotsa love to all.

Not much snow in that part of the country. If
It comes usually only a few inches and after
Thanksgiving at the end of Nov.

What a wonderful way for all of us to share and experience Zenyatta. How great that racing realizes what they have in her. She has an amazing fan base that continues to thrive and grow!

Good evening Zenyatta,
what a lovely photo of you and what a lovely party idea. Hope lots of Z’sters
will be able to attend. Love to come and get a feel for the whole place, but I can’t. No extra moolah. But I do hope all the Z’sters with dough will be there.
Have a restful night, Sweetie, and dream sweet.
Kendra
Dottie, thank you so much for keeping Zenyatta in the limelight. Though she is not racing, you have kept the thrills coming. Your humorous and informative style keep the fans reading Zen’s Diary every day. If there ever was a Manager of the Decade, you would deserve the award. What else can I say… You are one smart cookie and just THE BEST.

Oh, Zenny thank you for letting us be the first to know about your party. I would love to be there but unfortunately I am having surgery and will be recovering during the time of the BC. This is such a fabulous idea for those that can make it. They sure will be treated to an awesome time with you as the hostess. I am so very disappointed because the trip would have been possible for me to make. But as Diana mentioned maybe you will have another party at next year’s BC and I’ll sure try to make that one.
@Ann Maree: All of us Z-Dumplings had a great time at the Gold Cup in CA this past July. There was quite a few of us that got together at that event. This BC is an awesome opportunity for Z fans to meet. Darn — it’s not the right timing for me.

A Party! How wonderful! And you get to be there via a live feed to be the hostess. You will be the perfect hostess I’m sure. What a great thing to be able to do. And the first time in Breeders Cup History, thats remarkable. Wishing you, Tasty Temptation and your TEAM a most wonderful party. Don’t forget a pretty party hat.
Hugs and kisses,
Maryann

Well I won’t be at Churchill Downs for this year’s Breeders’ Cup in person, just in spirit dog gone it. Hey Zenyatti you need to have a party next year at Santa Anita too! Love you and miss you.

Wish we could make it to Louisville! Thanks for the BIG BEAUTIFUL PICTURE!

Good evening Queen Z, I have not posted in sometime, but read each and very post. You look simply marvelous! All I can say is WOW. What a great event Breeders Cup will be having and what more the Queen herself as the Hostess. Breeders Cup sure missed the boat last year and I am sure they realize now how much attention racing has gotten having such a special Horses such as Zenyatta. They certainly could have done a better job promoting YOU. To all the connections this is truly a testament to you and how much you have done for the sport. Congratulations on getting the recognition you all deserve.
I was reading the posts and I too have been wondering what’s up with Mike. Hope everything isokay. He had a tremendous ride on Derby Kitten last week. Maybe just maybe he is just cutting back. I certainly hope that’s the case. He is an excellent jockey and should not be overlooked for rides.
It is going to be a great weekend of racing. Can’t wait. Cozy Rosie is racing this weekend as is Harmonious. Good luck to all and a safe trip.
Hugs anand kisses

That’s a great idea, Z! The thing that would make it perfect would be if ticket proceeds were donated to a charity that finds good homes for retired racehorses.

This is a wonderful and very creative idea Zenyatta, and I know you’ll be a wonderful hostess. Unfortunately I can’t make Kentucky at this time, and I am spoiled because everything used to be in California, practically in my backyard in Hermosa Beach, and now things are so far away. It would be wonderful if you would hostess a Breeders cup celebration at Santa Anita next year, and maybe your little one could help out too. That would be so amazing and a wonderful way to honor your fans and make more money for your charities. I also love the logo and posters for this years Celebration at Churchhill downs. I hope we all will be able to buy them after the party, as well as the new products you have.(A Z pin maybe?) Anyway, I love you and cherish the pictures I have on my wall of us at Hollywood park last year, and even tho I don’t blog that often, I read your website every day and think of you often. Love and Hugs from one of your biggest fans.

Dear Signofthetimes and Z Fans:
Here is a link to an article and two videos. The 1st one (in French) is of Goldikova running second to Immortal Verse and the 2nd one is of her sister, Galikova winning the Prix Guillaume d’Orano. Beautiful horses. Hugs, JB

Dear Z,
Goodnight and Sweet Baby Dreams. Love you lots, Judy and Russ
LauraJ
@Judy B., Galikova is not the only female slated to run in the Arc. French filly Sarafina will be running, and Snow Fairy is in there, too. Hard to know who to root for!

BTW, can you re-post the links in separate posts? They are not there (can’t have more than one link per post).
stephanie (s in san diego)
OK..looking into flights and hotel cost tonight. With a little luck and good planning…will be there!! Hope to have my ticket by this time tomorrow:). Might be my Christmas Present to me:))(plus birthday, mothers day etc)
Any other Southern California Dumplings thinking about going?

This is great news Z!!! I was there last year to see you race, but I must admit the people in my section were less than kind about your abilities, and were very self righteous about the outcome. Traveling from the heart of “Zenyatta-land” So Cal I was crushed and it quite frankly put a big damper on the whole experience. I am so glad that you are recognized for your true abilities and are able to be such a wonderful ambassador for the sport. I became a fan of racing as a horse-crazy kid and hopefully you are introducing many other kids to this thrilling experience. It will, however, be a long time before I go back to Churchill, but I will be at Santa Anita to cheer for Zasu and Blind Luck in the Ladies Secret!
Jodi
Very cool Z! What I wouldn’t give to be at your party. Enjoy!
Anne from Paramount, CA
QUEEN Z…OMG I just don’t know what to say! I am behind on my diary reading but came directly to #346 to read your NEWS!!! You and Dottie are the greatest: hostesses/ party planners/ party throwers/TEAM/keeper of secrets…
Since I will be in Vegas (and therefore miss your festivities), I want to hear all about it (EXTRA, EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT)direct from the horse’s mouth later!!!Take notes Z-sters, when you are not too busy par-tay-ing that is! High hooves to one and all. @Z: are you working on your “Welcome” speech, with Dottie’s help of course? Your smile will come naturally.
@ALL who go, have a FAN-tastic Zster time!! (Have you come down from the clouds yet?)
@Mary Copelin, you are right–Dottie IS the greatest Promoter of Racing…no two hooves about it.
@ALL again, I want to read through the past two diaries. More comments later! :)
Kari Bussell
@Susan in Tn- I am thrilled to learn that you and Sharon Call are adopting Chester & Chopper….Wow!….Also, Please come to the Z-Party so I can finally meet you…..and of course I end this with my love, thoughts, prayers & Go Vols!!!
Anne
Sounds great! How nice of your team to spend another day with your adoring fans.
You deserve every party anyone has in your honor. Wish you could be there but I know that can’t happen. You looked super in your photo. The sun always shines on its brightest star. That is you, Zenyatta.
Sorry I will miss the festivities but I will be thinking of you just the same.
Sally B.
This is the most exciting news Z!! You are fabulous in all your roles. To think I may be in the running to visit you is a dream come true. To actually meet your special connections will be just so so special. We weren’t sure what dates we were planning when visiting Kentucky, but I would not miss this opportunity!! One more chance to feel a closeness to you. My blood pressure went up as we agreed on “let’s order”. Your “Party” and BC here we come!! We will still have 3 days to visit stallions & Old Friends etc. It can’t get much better than this. So we, Lucy and Ethel, will be on the road again from Wi. to the beautiful bluegrass state!
I can not wait to see all of you. In the meantime, eat well, play & rest. I love your picture, your glowing Z. love you so much with 2 kisses on your soft nose, one for baby z

Dearest Queen-Z & Team-Z,
I’ve been away from your Diary Site for 2
weeks, but I think about you all every day.
What a great day to come back to your Web-HOME !!
I won’t be coming to your fabulous PARTY,
but I will be wishing you and all your fans,
a wonderful day. You look so very beautiful in this latest picture. Thanks
Dottie and John for sharing it with us.
Take care and be happy…same for TT.
Fondly, OraJean

@Judy Berube – I have a hunch you never saw the late link I posted on #342 to Doremifasollatido’s video? If you did see it, no problem (you pretty much catch everything), I just wanted to make sure you didn’t miss it, cause you mentioned you couldn’t find it.
Especially Horses
Ah, Zen, I have to send my regrets. I won’t be able to attend, but I will be watching on TV and I am sure there will be Z highlights. You look so beautiful in your pasture and I am reminded once again to praise the living God for creating you.
Irene Caty
Your Zenyatta Party at the BC sounds so wonderfull and wish I could be there but I am California bound this year and wish you much fun and success. You will be the Queen of the event and it will be a big event. I hope they will do the same at Santa Anita next year and I will be there for sure. You look so great Zenny and I hope you and Tasty have a great time at your event. I am also interested in Mike Smith and what may be going on with him. He is so much a part of your team and he also loves you so much. There are so many pictures of you and Mike together as a team and I always associate the two of you together. Please inform us as to how he is doing as he has seemed to just disappeared. Congradulations on your up coming event as the Queen of the Breeders cup activities and hope to see some footage of the event. Sending my love as always to such a beautiful and wonderful Queen.
Vicki B.
Zenny, I just read your post above, and it sounds great! I wish I could go, but I can’t. :( Hopefully “exciting new products” means those of us who can’t make the event, can get some goodies afterwards. Looking forward to it.
Tessa
Hey Zenny,
I wish I could come to your party. That would be so much fun! I could meet your teem. At least a couple months ago I got to go to KY and went to see Church hill downs, the KY Horse park, I got a tour at Winstar, and stopped by Lanes’ End. Of course I was looking for you at Lanes’ End, someone pointed out your pasture, I thought I saw you from a distance. By the way, I love the picture on this Diary post so much that I’m putting it as my computer wallpaper. Maybe someday I can see you, Zenny. Love you! Love, TESSA
