Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Throughout the visits with MY TEAM during the last few weeks, I enjoyed several opportunities to have very, very intimate conversations with MY PAL, Dottie! As you know, she and I speak quite often and constantly work together on several projects. At this particular moment, we are reviewing some exciting plans of things WE anticipate doing in the future. I hope all of these ideas materialize…as they will be SO MUCH FUN!
I must say….I loved the comments many of you made yesterday in the Diary Responses as to what my NEW CAREER choices could be! Several of you are right on target! YOU know ME very well! YOU GET ME! YOU truly know what would be the best way for ME, at this point in my life, to successfully apply my skills and talent towards MY 2nd CAREER! I loved reading ALL of your comments and thoughts on this topic!
Here are some of the options YOU, my dear friends, suggested:
Artist, Spokesmare, Dancing Queen, Entertain Visitors, Model, Actor, Ambassadress for our Sport, being a MOM, tester for Guinness, teacher to both horses and human, inspirational speaker, and philanthropist!
You are ALL TOO CUTE….for thinking about ME in such a fabulous light!
Hooves Crossed!
We will know more tomorrow. I promise!
With Love,
Hugs to All~ (Especially my 91,115 Facebook Friends….WOW!)

I really think you should consider a career in dressage. You already know some of the steps. You have an elegance about you that I’m sure would dazzle those judges. Most dressage horses are above 10 in age because of the need for discipline and mature behavior. Do you you miss having a rider?

My Beautiful Zenyatta~
Whatever you have in the works, I know you will do it to PERFECTION, as only you can do. I can’t wait to find out…
@Melinda Kaczur~ Welcome to Zen Nation. You will love this place. Trust me…I nor anyone here, think you are crazy at all. My tears flow dailey and freely every time I read this diary…or see a pic of her…when I watch her races on You Tube…or read an article about her…or hear her Team speak of her. She just touches me that deeply and always will.
HUGZ to ALL~

@Judy Berube-OK, Judy. I’ll keep ’em coming. Just remember, you encouraged me. @Susan in TN-What wonderful news about my pal Chester and Chopper. But, even though he has his own digs now, Chester is still the only non-human member of the redneck club. @Dawn Conrad–Your father was very lucky to have a daughter like you. To all my Jewish friends–Happy New Year! @Kari Bussell and Susan in TN-You might be a redneck if you know how many bales of hay your car will hold. You might be a redneck if, at the race track, you always bet on the horse that “does his business” right before the race. You might be attending a redneck wedding if the bridesmaids wear bib overalls and the groomsmen wear Travis Tritt t-shirts. You might be attending a redneck wedding if there is a sign in front of the church with the message “No shoes, no shirt, no problem.” Here is today’s joke. It is sort of an elongated redneck joke. There were three railroad workers who were pals. One was a Chinese man, one was an Italian and one was a redneck. The three men were sitting down to lunch. After opening their lunches, the Chinese man says “If I get another egg roll in my lunch, I’ll kill myself.” The Italian guy says “If I get another slice of pizza, I’ll kill myself.” The redneck says “If I get another ham hock, I’ll kill myself.” The next day all three men get the same lunches as before. So, they throw themselves in front of an oncoming train. At the funeral, the Chinese man’s wife said “If only I hadn’t packed an egg roll that day.” The Italian guy’s wife said “If only I hadn’t packed a slice of pizza that day.” The redneck’s wife then said “Don’t look at me. He always packed his own vittles.”

@Susan in TN and Sharon Call~ That is wonderful news. I am so happy for you two and expecially for Chester and Chopper. They are very lucky horses to have the two of YOU! Well done. :)

Dear Great One,
I just love the little tete-a-tete you and Dottie are having over these OH SO SECRET PLANS. I’m wondering if you are going to have your own TV show? Maybe your own line of hair care products? Give dancing lessons? Wow, the options are endless for a talented beauty like YOU. I love you so much for what you have accomplished for yourself, your TEAM, for your FANS (us) and for your fellow HORSES. I don’t believe there is a horse in HISTORY that has done what you have done. I believe you have RAISED THE STATUS OF ALL HORSES. I am grateful to you for this. Thank you dear girl for all you have done.
Your humble J
Patricia: got your message; will see if I can do that.

Whatever you decide, you will be the very best at it. You are already the greatest ambassador for your sport. I would love to hear you giving inspirational speeches. Just think how much you could do for your charities. The 90K + hits on your facebook page is a testament to how much you are loved.
Love, hugs and kisses

@ Kimberly Potter, you are right, what a wounderful site, it’s really touched my heart that you all responded like you did on my first posting, you all show such compassion for one another, you don’t find that much any more.See I told you she was a gift from God, she (Zenyatta,Dottie) bring out the best in all of us.

I have really been enjoying all the latest pictures. What I love the most is that Zenyatta is standing there on her own because she wants to be there. Nobody is holding a lead or her halter or enticing her with treats. I’m sure we all know we can’t really see a baby bump, yet, but after the disappointment of the loss of the first foal and the excitement of this foal, the extended aunties and uncles are just having fun. The light and shadows in the photo above really do show her new roundness which hadn’t been seen during her racing career. Her dear John kept her in sleek, toned athlete form. Now she’s ln, “gonna be a momma form.”

Love the idea for the “Zenyatta at Lane’s End” calendar!

I see Baby Bumps ((giggles)))

Zenyatta, you are already a pin up girl, as Little Silver Charm of Old Friends at Dream Chase Farm has pictures of you pinned up all over his stall. So cute!! I can’t think of anything that you couldn’t do, if you put your mind to it. So dream on beautiful wonder horse. GIRL POWER IS ALIVE AND WELL!!!!!

@Susan in Tn- How wonderful that you and Sharon Call have adopted Chester and Chopper. I have really enjoyed the Chester and Friends page in FB.
@Terry Crow- You listed something that made me think I could be a redneck. It had to do with betting on a horse. ha, ha
With the Santa Anita session about to start, maybe Zenyatta could share some current news about the ladies who use the Zenyatta Lounge. As everyone else, I’m anxious to hear tomorrow’s breaking news.
Janis
Zenyatta, you have us on the edge of our seats again…just like at the race track when one of your famous run from behind surges brought us so much excitement. I do wish you would become an authoress and write an inspirational childrens book. Even though you have retired there is so much that you can do for the world. Good for you, Zen. Good Luck with your new project and a soft kiss on the nose.

Hi Big Girl, that is the sweetest picture of you and wonderful Dottie. I used to do that with my horses and I can just feel your soft nose on my lips. Way back in the beginning of these posts I suggested you do a kissing booth as a fund raiser, is that the secret idea? I’d be there in a flash with my dollars, I’m just saying….
@Joanna from TX I agree wholeheartedly about LE they are a fab farm, Z’s got the best digs.
@Dawn thanks for the well wishes I’ll give the old man (Indy) a kiss from you too.
@Susan In TN and Sharon Call bless your wonderful hearts for taking in these old unwanted equines. I am sure you will get as much joy out of it as they do!

CALLING ALL HORSEMEN IN THE BREEDING SEGMENT OF THE INDUSTRY. When does a broodmare “show”? It is our understanding that occurs about three months prior to foaling or in Zenyatta’s case in December.
Sharyn
I just love this picture – you and Dottie sharing a special moment!!
Cynthia H.
Dearest Z, you look so serene and happy, enjoying a private moment with one of your true soul mates. I hope I won’t blow your cover, when I spring the news that I think I know what your much-anticipated 2nd career is going to be: ZENYATTA FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012! It is not an exaggeration to say, that you have more horse sense. intelligence, grace, wit, beauty and charm that all of the other candidates rolled together. It would be fun to have a little foal in the White House, and Berni would make a stunning First Stallion!
Kimberly Potter
@Melinda Kaczur~ She is most definately a Gift from God! You should contact Diana S (diastu in Tempe)and get a Dumpling name tag. We are Zenyatta’s Dumplingz…lol. Maybe someone (Judy Berube…?) can post her email again. She has offered and is willing to make Dumpling name tags for all who request them. Again, welcome and Good Luck!
Doreen
Zenny – whatever your second career will be, you’re going to be great at it. You bring people together from all walks of life. If it wasn’t for you and Dottie a lot of us wouldn’t have gotten to know one another. In this, you (two) definitely have no equal(s). As each day passes, you’re looking more and more like a mommy-to-be, not that you didn’t have a special glow about you, but being pregnant definitely looks good on you.
@Susan in TN and Sharon Call – it’s so good to hear that Chester doesn’t have to be euthanized and it sounds like he and Chopper will become the best of friends. It’s always nice to have a buddy to share your life with and in this case – a pasture too!!!
@Phyllis Horn – I’m so sorry about your loss. Both of you will one day meet again at Rainbow Bridge.
@All Z fans involved in the Valley View Ranch Equine Rescue’s rescue efforts, you’re all angels. Thank you. You’ve inspired me to send off another donation. The power of this site is incredible – it doesn’t come as a surprise. Thanks Zenny and Dottie for providing us a site where we not only can share all things Zenyatta, but where we all can make a difference too. We’re just following in your hoof and footsteps.
