Good Morning,
My JOHN got a chance to download some of his photos last night…so I wanted to share a few of them with you. It has been so exciting seeing everyone. As usual, we always have a great time together.
Here I am whispering ‘sweet thoughts’ into My John’s ear. At this moment, I really gave a great deal of thought to playing the ‘hat game’ with him as well. It was rather windy at this particular time…so I decided to just ‘kiss’ him on the cheek. I have done this so many times in the past. It brought back so many special memories to ME and I know to him!
What a wonderful day we all shared!
This weekend seems to be packed with a great deal of stakes action at several different racing venues. I am particularly interested in the KENT which is on the turf at Delaware Park and the Pennsylvania Derby on the main track at Parx. Both races are for 3 year olds going 1 1/8. It is great to see how horses continue to develop and mature at this stage. I am especially interested in the Parx race as Bernie sired one of the main contenders, TO HONOR AND SERVE.
I must say, I do keep track of ‘his’ horses and how they are performing at the race track. His babies sold very well in the various yearling sales to date and his horses are running very competitively all over the world! This is such GREAT NEWS!
I’m proud of you, BERNIE!
On the West Coast, Fairplex is concluding their meet…and then back to Santa Anita for their Autumn Meet of Racing. Opening day is September 30th. This marks the beginning of a great time of racing on the West Coast as one terrific race meet follows another from this point forward for the next 11 plus months.
I hope you enjoy all of the FUN! Good Luck to all of the horses competing this weekend!
With Love,
Hugs to All~
Z

Dear all: Trina N. is having computer problems and was not able to post here. So she asked me to post for her. When I put the whole thing in, it wouldn’t go either. SO I’m trying this and if it goes, I’ll condense what she said.
Hugs.

Still couldn’t get it to go. How weird. Maybe the webmaster can fix whatever is wrong.

@Peggy (N)
So glad the information perked your spirits and
Got you onto planning that great KY vacation. If
you are not planning to buy something specifically
Like a yearling; just attending a sale and seeing
Some well pedigreed horses and well known humans
Would be great and then all of those gorgeous stallions
And AP Indy. Happy planning.
Peggy (N)
@signofthetimes, I agree completely.
@Everyone, there are still some nice horses selling at keeneland today. Such gorgeous babies.
Vicki B.
@signofthetimes – Thanks for the nice links to THS wins. The one with “iwannaiwannaiwanna” was a great call.
Vicki B.
@Barbara Wood – I’m guessing you’re just copying/pasting Trina’s message here — but does it have links? Only one link at a time, can be entered, per comment.

The photos are beautiful, and Zenyatta looks sublimely happy to welcome some members of her beloved human family. To see Ann Moss interact with Zenyatta is to witness a co-mingling of souls. There is something magical and almost reverant in the relationship between this exquisite lady and the enchanting creature which sits at the center of her world. Thank you, Dottie and John, for sharing your family pictures with the extended clan on the Diary.

Dearest Z, I tried to post this last night (three times), but it never showed up.
@Terry Crow—Give our best to your daughter—we wish her a very happy birthday, and we hope you have a great time. Loved the joke.
@Judy Berube—Please give our best to Russ.
@Sunny Boyd—Great Diller line—that’s one to remember always! Thanks.
@Jan Yarberry— I enjoyed your comment about Z and B being like Lucy and Desi.
@Suzen—Thanks for pointing out Bernie’s son Arthur’s Tale in the PA Derby. I’ve entered him now in my Equibase Virtual Stable.
@JAG—I’m so glad that MADELEINE PICKENS will be at the Equine Welfare conference!!! She is the WILD MUSTANGS’ HEROINE par excellence! What an amazing powerhouse for equine welfare! She thinks BIG! And a Nevada couple has just donated a MILLION DOLLARS to Pickens’s new mustang preserve. High hoof!
@JAG again–And how about that—a brand new e-book about how Zenyatta changed the writer’s view of horseracing. I guess she changed everyone’s view in our lifetime! The author says he’ll be posting a contest soon to win a free copy—could be fun.
@Anthony—Cheers to you too! Good to see your post
@Arlene in Vermont—We haven’t heard from you in the longest time. Are you still without electricity up there? I hope you are OK.
@To all who commented on my poem about Ann and Z—- Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

To all, In case you ever have a problem posting like I did last night, I think it was because I included a link for Madeleine Pickens. When I took the link out, I was able to post. Maybe some links are “copyrighted”?
THANK YOU, Barbara Wood, for trying to post it for me!
Barbara Wood
@Vicki B–and Trina–thanks. I even tried typing the one link, but it still wouldn’t go. Weird. Glad all is working. By the way, just “ditto” me for everything Trina said!
Neva Rae Powers
Thanks for the photos! Everyone looks happy just to be near you!

@Cynthia H., you are so right. Seeing Ann and her Zenny together is to witness something spiritial. Their connection is pure and loving. We read recently that Zen put her head over Ann’s shoulder at the sale where she was purchased. It’s as if SHE instantly knew she belonged with them and why Ann has said Zen chose the Mosses.
tony and sue
Opps, we should have said spiritual.
Vicki B.
@Trina M Nagele and @Barbara Wood – now you’ve got me curious about which Madeleine Pickens link that was. Her website link wouldn’t post (and no errors!). The link has her name in it (“madeleinepickens”), and ends in .com/ ?
Vicki B.
Another M.Pickens site, http://www.savingamericasmustangs.org/info/about_madeleine/ has a link back to her main site, so that might help.

On catching up with #341
Thanks to all who wrote or posted links (@judy berube @signofthetimes) about The Foal Project. Some great photos, and hopefully, eventually the travelling gallery will make it out to California.
@Abigail from Montreal – That was a great link to the video on Genuine Risk’s story, and her foal. Thanks so much.
Lauryn Moore

I know this is Zenyatta’s page but I’m sure there are FOB’s that join in this site just as I do. I love Zen more than you could know. But I felt it might not be known that, Cheryl Jones, a loved FOB has passed unexpectedly. She was a great animal advocate. Please turn on your porch lights tonight from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in her memory. Thanks for letting me post this here. Felt there might be people that had not heard.

Dear Trina N.:
I had a problem posting the other night too. I think it was Diary 340. Could have been overload. I think there were over 1000 posts from the week. Will give Russ your “hello”. Thank you for thinking of him. Hugs, J.B.
