Good Morning,
My JOHN got a chance to download some of his photos last night…so I wanted to share a few of them with you. It has been so exciting seeing everyone. As usual, we always have a great time together.
Here I am whispering ‘sweet thoughts’ into My John’s ear. At this moment, I really gave a great deal of thought to playing the ‘hat game’ with him as well. It was rather windy at this particular time…so I decided to just ‘kiss’ him on the cheek. I have done this so many times in the past. It brought back so many special memories to ME and I know to him!
What a wonderful day we all shared!
This weekend seems to be packed with a great deal of stakes action at several different racing venues. I am particularly interested in the KENT which is on the turf at Delaware Park and the Pennsylvania Derby on the main track at Parx. Both races are for 3 year olds going 1 1/8. It is great to see how horses continue to develop and mature at this stage. I am especially interested in the Parx race as Bernie sired one of the main contenders, TO HONOR AND SERVE.
I must say, I do keep track of ‘his’ horses and how they are performing at the race track. His babies sold very well in the various yearling sales to date and his horses are running very competitively all over the world! This is such GREAT NEWS!
I’m proud of you, BERNIE!
On the West Coast, Fairplex is concluding their meet…and then back to Santa Anita for their Autumn Meet of Racing. Opening day is September 30th. This marks the beginning of a great time of racing on the West Coast as one terrific race meet follows another from this point forward for the next 11 plus months.
I hope you enjoy all of the FUN! Good Luck to all of the horses competing this weekend!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Thanks for the wonderful photos and update.
Have the Mosses bought any of the horses at the Keeneland Auction? And did they acquire any of the Edward Evans dispersal stock?
I am sure Mr. Evans and Saint Liam are smiling from above to see Harve De Grace (Saint Liam’s daughter) doing so well. And her daddy surely did win the Breeders Cup Classic which she is going for.
I’m sure Ms Z was just as thrilled to see her family as you were.
Thanks for all the marvelous posts.

To Abigail Adams,
Abigail chronicals stories about one of the female racing legends, Terlingua. She was Secretariat’s best daughter and the dam or mother of Storm Cat. And she was quite feisty when she was young and knew she was quite the princess. Her trainer, D. Wayne Lukas, used to bathe her himself with Breck Shampoo.
Regarding Terlingua’s grandchildren:
It’s Tricky surely does act like granny (Terlingua)–she only goes out to the track if her pony is present. And she flipped her jockey when he poured water on her head after her last race. Guess he won’t be doing that again–ROFL.
Sassy Image injured her left front foot at the gate in the Ballerina and has grabbed a quarter; ie, a 1/2 inch piece of her foot was degloved. She was smart and went to the outside and refused to run. She’s another of Terlingua’s sassy granddaughters.
Inglorious, the Canadian champion filly, won on artificial surface against the boys in the Queens Plate (equivalent of Ky Derby). But she lost in Saratoga, ashame they didn’t ship off to DelMar instead.
And hopefully, Shackleford, will run well in shorter distances. He’s going to the Indiana Derby. I hope they run him in the Breeders Cup Mile instead of the classic.

Every time I see a picture of you, you get more beautiful day by day. I hope your foal inherits your looks and easy going ways of yours.
Thanks for each and every post and picture!

Absolutely LOVE all of your updates! Keep up the good work!
Doreen
Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures.
Zenny – you definitely bring smiles to everyone’s faces.
RIP Rahy, grandsire of my favorite turf horse Rutherienne. You have left your mark on future generations and you won’t be forgotten. I’m a pushover for small horses with big hearts.
To Banned and his connections – my thoughts and prayers are with you. May you have successful surgery and an uneventful recovery: http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/racing-news/2011/09/23/banned-to-undergo-surgery.aspx
Good luck to To Honor and Serve – I’ve been following him since last fall – his name just caught my eye. It didn’t hurt that he was a son of Bernardini either.
Good luck and safe trips for everyone today and this weekend.

Love the Pictures and all the diarys, like I have said before have no idea, but they make my day so much better, just to see how happy you are and the baby, bump getting a little bigger I hope all is well in that part of all things, Love you Queen Zen, have a grand day,

To Honor and Serve I fell in love with right away… he’s so handsome and well built it’s hard not to like him. He was my top pick at the beginning of the year before he got hurt, so it’s great to see him make a comeback which I think either he or Rattlesnake Bridge will win. (I’m leaning toward Honor)
Best wishes to Banned, who only has a 20% odds of surviving :'( Also get well soon to Better Talk Now and Tizway.

Dotty and Queen Z,
Penney Chenery has a Secretariat festival each year to benefit Secretariat charities.
What about a Zenyatta Festival around April 1st, the date of her birth at Old Friends?
It could be a big boost for funding for the retired horses at Old Friends. And if MsZ is unavailable as she will be nursing her foal, why not a large screen and streaming videos. It could be a way for us to visit Z and her foal in a safe and nonintrusive manner.
Rosanne Glynn
You look beautiful Zenny. Glad you got to visit Jerry, Dottie and Anne. Love you. Hoping you are coping well with your transition.

Zen, Thanks for the wonderful pictures and great timing. Yesterday my friends and I were confirmed for a tour of Lane’s End during Breeders Cup. We would love to see you, of course, but just seeing your home is great.
It will be a reunion of sorts. We all met by going to your Apple Blossom last year and several of us followed you to various tracks last year. We have kept in contact, but this will be the first time for most of us to see each other since last year’s Breeder’s Cup because we live in 3 different states…Minnesota, Nebraska and Texas.
So thank you, Zen…not only for all you have done for racing, but for introducing me to my great new friends, who I never would have met without you!
Always be happy.
Kathy S.
How wonderful to see these very recent pictures of YOU, Zenny. You are always such a day brightener! Have a wonderful weekend! Hi to Tasty Temptation. Be sure to get in lots of girl time.
