Good Morning,
We are really enjoying rather pleasant weather in Lexington these days. My pal, Tasty Temptation, and I were out in our paddock and suddenly we decided we would ‘scratch each other’s back’. As you can see, Mathea was there just at that moment and took the perfect photo of us. I scratched TT’s back…and she sweetly gave me a nice little back rub at the same time. I must say that she and I are really dear friends. We get along beautifully.
I know about TEAMWORK…as I have been part of a TEAM my entire racing career. Thus, I know how truly important it is to work together to achieve goals. It is so nice to have a friend there to help you out when needed.
With Love,
Hugs to All~

For “Z” Friends who would like to close the day sharing an Evening Prayer:
………………………………..
O God, Creator of the World,
And king of heaven, sending light
Most beautiful to clothe the day,
And grace of sleep to come by night.
That so in rest our slackened limbs
Grow strong for work as dawns the day,
And wearied minds be fresh again,
As light drives anxious cares away.
With bounden thanks, with offered vows,
With prayers and hymns our debt we pay,
Beseeching thee to keep us safe
As night draws night, as ends the day.

To every one on this wonderful site: NOOR THANKS YOU…as the ghostly light of approaching nightfall descends over his newly fresh grave, you can just make out his image there….see….there…enjoying the soft, lush green grass of his new home…. content now, no longer restless, happy and joyful… the Angels of his ancestors gone before bestow songs of rejoyce and light on him, and peace for eternity forever more, as he has come home once more… the once call to the post is no more, the once final stretch run is set no more….run free, once more, sweet prince…run free…..

Zenny, you and TT look so cute rubing each others back. It is a wonderful thing that the two of you get along so good. Glad that you are enjoying the nice weather you are experienceing right now. The Horseracing in Del Mar will soon be over and from there it will go to Fairplex Park in Pamona. I plan to take in the races there a couple of times as I live closer to that Track. Have a great day Zenyatta. Love you much.

Hello Queen Z….this has been a delightful diary–with the exception of Arlene in Vermont, of course. A BIG thanks for taking the time to update us, Arlene. I echo everyone’s thoughts that what you have ahead of you will not be TOO overwhelming…
@all who posted links for the videos, a BIG thanks! Especially liked Joy to the World, Kari B. My, Z’s Bernie is a handsome devil now isn’t he? And @Judy B, Karen G and Kari B again (I think): I just LOVED that newscast on Noor and seeing and hearing Charlotte Farmer speak! (and Michael Blowen too.)They gave a respectable amount of time to Charlotte and her mission with Noor. Usually one just sees/hears two sentences; this was much more than that. Gave one a sense of “place.”
@Karen Gogue, in a way your reports remind me of Tick Tock Mc from Seabiscuit movie ..mean that in the nicest way of course…very enjoyable putting us right there in the action. :)
So you see Z, you are right, teamwork is SO important. Please send our regards to Dottie–together you two are a team for the ages. ( And we all know about your racing TEAM!) Thanks to you both and to all who contributed today–I again say this is a special diary, # 330.
And yes my Queen, those are phantastic photos–you indeed are as healthy as a horse, or as healthy as a horse should be! :)
Jackie

Amanda Gilliland: Sincerely hope you are okay. We have missed hearing from you, and it has been quite some time now. Special thoughts and well-wishes to you and to your dear family members. Please do take good care, and if possible, give us a brief shout-out! We worry when we don’t hear from our friends. Hugs!
@Diana S.: We worry about you, too! Check in if you possibly can. Just a simple “HI” would be helpful. All the Best from MP in NC.

Thank you to the entire Zenyatta Team for sharing Zenyatta with us. It might be fun to hear about any playful experiences the groom, vet, etc. had with Zenyatta during her racing days and/or retirement . Just a thought.

Abigail in Toronto – I have a best friend in Canada. she lived in San Diego for about 3 years across the street. The best friend ever…. She moved back to Canada and I’ve been there twice to visit and she has come a couple of times (loves to get out of the cold in the winter and come here). It was so dear to me to find out TT is from Canada. Zenny has a Canadian best friend too. Silly I know, but it makes my heart sing.
Thanks Judy for the Barbara L photos. I forget to go into the DRF. She captures it so beautifully.
Challengin times ahead for you Arlene, I’m concerned about my friends in Vermont, but I would guess no power, no phones, no computers, etc.
Please take heart and hopefully back to “almost normal” soon.
Marshall (girl's name)
One more missing Dumpling: Hello, Kathryn Cogswell! Please let us hear from you — we miss you! Hope you are well!
Trina Nagele
@Max—Thanks for the link on Tasty Temptation. It seems very nice for our Canadian Z-sters, Abigail in Montreal, Brenda and Vic in Fort Erie, and Tracey Drykain in Ottawa, to have Z’s best pasture pal be a Canadian too.
@Olivia Sutton—Nice to see you posting.
@Yvonne and Maurice—It was fun reading about your Del Mar sojourn. Isn’t that Liza Fly great? How nice that you heard her in person. Thanks for sharing.
@Kim S—That’s great news about the rescue where you volunteer now being a 501(c) non-profit and their website changing to equestrianinc.org instead of .com. High hoof! And I loved your comment to Zenny that her little one will “keep her on her hooves!” Too cute!
